- Hasbro sent along a review sample of their San Diego Comic Con Marvel Legends Retro Carded Hulk and getting it before the two pack version with Wolverine is a weird thing. Some strange articulation points but overall I think I just found the new comic Banner for my shelf! At least in the modern part of the display...

That bit with the piano when you dropped the card is why you're my favorite CZcams personality for this type of content. Informative, honest opinions and with a very humorous spin. A Robo-Upload day is a good day!
this figure is great but i have two little gripes:
1. I personally don't like the head
2. The veins are a little to dark and its a little distracting
imo the two pack one blows this out of the water

I plan on getting the 2-pack classic hulk, tracking down the toybiz grey hulk, and then repainting the head/swap to look like the modern Immortal Hulk.

I want this just because of the color. I always looked at hulk as a darker green and I love the painted veins

It would have been even cooler if we would have gotten a grey Hulk as the SDCC exclusive instead of this darker green Hulk. Still like the figure, and I’m probably gonna get it anyway lol 😂

I really want this figure for my collection. I actually don't have a Hulk figure since I'm new to collecting but I'm going after this one.
The two pack Hulk is more like an 80s styled face while this one is mostly a 90s type flashback to him.
This is a great figure better than the endgame baf

Get the two pack from Hasbro Pulse. I think it's a lot better. IMHO
I like the 2 pack version personally, it has them classic look to it, like Sal Buscema drawing much like Face off. But this is cool too, looks more like a modern Hulk.
I was not excited for this exclusive because of the headsculpt but the way you light it has made me want it almost more than the two pack. I plan on sculpting additional hair and getting closer to that Face off hulk look hopefully. I can't wait to see what either hulk looks like in a stop motion animation.

I got the two pack Hulk and plan on trying to get this one but if I don't I'm not losing any sleep. The two pack Hulk is a perfect representation of Hulk IMO.
The Select Hulk Unleashed has been my "Legends" hulk for years. This one may dethrone it. Probably going for the 80 years version though.

I’ve enjoyed your reviews for quite some time and in feel we’re very similar in tastes. I have this figure (along with the other two ML green Hulks) and feel like it’s become a “red-headed stepchild” of the buck. I think it’s a fantastic rendering of a more modernized Hulk, and with the paint apps it really stands up to the ML 80th, with the lack of interchangeable hands being its only significant downfall. Some don’t care for the paint around the eyes, but always looked great to me on the shelf. While I LOVE the ML 80th two-pack Hulk, it has a bit of an “unfinished look” because of the lack of detail on the pants. The ripped shirt does compensate for this but man, shading on the pants could have gone a LONG way.

Gorgeous, and the pipe is pretty kickass. The 2 pack is more my thing, but the pipe and painted veins do help matters. Glad Hasbro sent you this.

Stops to admire cool packaging. Drops package. Yup. Done that before.
I will get this one for the retro-card and will open the 1st appearance one.
Just cut the sides and bottom of the bubble with a knife and you can always put the the figure back on the card for hanging. I do this to save the card without ripping it, if it has nice art

Great review! There is just something here that I don't like. Probably the head... and the right hand to a degree. Yeah honestly that head sculp/deco is just not appealing to me.

It’s a cool figure, Robo, I wish I could get one, I’m waiting on the Hulk/Wolverine two pack. I know will probably release a variant of this figure in the future because they have with other SDCC figures and because they are Marvel and you can never have too many Hulk/Marvel figures. So I’ll keep my fingers crossed, have a good time in San Diego.

And your gana like the two pack HULK cause you can crunch him forward and have him look up i have mine like that. The vains on the hulk in the 2 pack are not sculpted on and 1 warning for wolverine is that you get paint rub on the shoulder pads
Looks like a kids toy in design, color and finish. Might be nice to have a carded Hulk for collectors but otherwise, this figure does not hold a candle to the two-pack Hulk version.
I still hate that they got rid of the forward butterfly joints.

There's been a lil bit of debate about what time period this Hulk is intended to represent. I think he looks like Hulk circa 1990-1992 before be became Professor Hulk. What do you think?
This looks cool, but I think the wolverine two pack version looks a lot better, especially the head. Great for those who want this version though. Nice review Robo!
