Absolutely this! Been playing on a warburton delrin 4M top for a while. Very very comfortable and soft rim. I use it with a booster and the sound is very close to a metal piece (just not quite as bright).
I find that the grip just helps with consistency since my lips aren't slipping around so much. Some people like the more slippery feel and think that helps their flexibility; others, not so much. It's really personal preference.
