Residents in Paju, a South Korean city located near the border of North Korea, have grown increasingly concerned about escalating tensions threatening their livelihoods. Before South Korea intensified military activity along the demilitarised zone in June 2024, Paju was crowded with visitors eager for a peek at the isolated North. Tensions have risen since North Korea sent hundreds of balloons carrying trash over the border.

So someone from South Korea sent propaganda all over to the North and they responded with balloons of trash ? I mean, that’s class
My thoughts exactly
No it's just showing which regime is better, one send medicine and "propaganda" was that people in South live better, yeah class..
@@BlazzingZealot I’m happy to live in the first world but that’s a great move from NK’s side nonetheless.
@francescoromano2049 No, it's not because it shows how much their intelligence is. They are lacking in every regard compared to their bothers in the South. Yet that's their response dung and trash, basically expressing themselves
And even the balloons were sent by North Korean defector who's now living in SK.
The North Korean trolls couldn't be less obvious 😂
ikr
I don't think there's gonna be a war anytime soon. Every single time whenever there's high tensions, it eventually de-escalates. This loop has been going on for so many decades and it's crazy how many people are falling for it.
Wait, so the north were just retaliating against the south sending the balloons first?
Edit: Grammar
South Korean organizations (formed by escapees from the north) sent relief supplies through balloons to North Korea, whereas North Korean government sent piles of trash in response, so it’s not feasible to call it a “retaliation.”
Yea and then I think Seoul broke off some peace thingy??? I’d have to look up articles again but the reaction from South Korea seemed way over the top considering it was only trash and it was in response to something South Koreans had been doing too.
Just found it on ABC, “ South Korea plans to nullify peace deal to punish North Korea over trash-carrying balloon launches”
It seems especially over the top considering South Korea had also blasted music and propaganda miles and miles into North Korea a few years ago
I mean to be fair with south korea pulling out of it, the north pulled out of the same agreement I think a year or two prior
This would be the best place to go because there are no tourists
to the North Korean trolls and everbody, watch the South Korean Documentary "The Loyal Citizens of Pyongyang in Seoul"
This south and north conflict is getting out of hands. Ever heard of Immersive Translate?? It's a tool that supports real-time subtitles and generate them for videos in foreign languages. With the subtitles, you fully understand the video content and naturally learn a foreign language while watching.
You didn't know that North Korea
Why fight your own kind.
Well, sometimes sibling fight each other, also in rare case, they fight for more than 50 years.
Humans....
One side is usa's lapdog..that's why
The south Korean have no choice ... any suggestion of unification by a leader will lose their political position for life , his master will punishing him or her , and all the Korean politicians knows it !
That's how the West functions and thrives.😊
North Korea or South Korea but no threat to china???
The worse is yet to come.
Kick US out and make peace with the North.
Oh woww
That may be one of many options.
Blacked bbc bots at it again😭

begs me to question whether if they really supported that even if they are really paid
Tell me how many people nk has killed. Millions have died from the us this decade alone
@@rickysampson8759 No one except North Korean officials would know that.
@@rickysampson8759
Millions in this decade? Can you explain?
@@TankMasterGo
I see he said this decade but maybe he meant the last decade,,. In the last decade, since 2014, the US has been responsible for so many deaths not only through wars but also sanctions and using proxies to fight for them. As many as 40,000 people may have died in Venezuela as a result of US sanctions that made it harder for ordinary citizens to access food, medicine and medical equipment, a new report has claimed
Look at how many have died in Afghanistan or Syria or Iraq because of U.S and Western illegal sanctions.
Then we go back to this. 27 million Muslims killed due to US war on terror.
Undisputed UN figures show that 1.7 million Iraqi civilians died due to the West’s brutal sanctions regime, half of whom were children.
The beginning of ww3 . I mean ll over the world there is starting to be tension with all countries on everyones borders and stuff so theres just a matter of time when everything takes off.
North Korea could just fly drones into the South and South Korea could do nothing about it because North Korea is armed with nukes. Maybe those sending leaflets should think about the consequences.
Don't think too highly about those nukes
@@G.A.C_PreserveTwo USA army officers in 1976 disregarding the North Koreans got axed to death during a border dispute. You can scoff at the North Koreans all you want.
@@Dept246during border dispute...you had failed in history class, mate. US and north korea didn't have border dispute.😂 the two american soldiers was killed by north Korean Because they attempt to cut the tree at DMZ, which for north korean is the holy tree as they believe it was planted by their leader kim ill sung. But in the end, american show off force to north korea which forced north korea to let the tree being cut down and North korea had see how strong american millitary is.
Wait, that was the holy tree, not just because they did cut it without prior agreement? No wonder they seems furious.
So who start First ? And who wrong ?@@antoniussamuelson3748

American divided your country.. join hand
Nahh Soviet Union did
Just to be fair, they both did, like Germany too.
Fr
You obviously dont have an education.
Germany was divided by the soviets just like your korean.
there will be a korean war ig
From what i last recall, they thought it'll be a loop. NK does full berserk, the West respond, then the NK backs down after negotiations or diplomatic visits, and then they back down too (May not be accurate, probably a rough estimate)
But this time, something's got to give... One simple miscalculation and the Second Korean War erupts... Or idk... It'll simmer down again? 7-8 decades worth of standoff and they are itching (depends on who).
Technically speaking, Korean war never ended. They just did sign ceasefire agreement, not peace treaty.
Nope. Nothing ever happens.

North korea Stronger than South korea Can fight Without Russia or China Support but South Korea Can't fight Against North korea Without America..😂😂
Imagine being so dumb to not know about the fact that North Korea's still existing, and has at least some military equipment available for them, as China invests its own resources to NK, including military support from them to North Korea.
Even though there IS some military gear being produced in North kroea itself, but North Korea still uses only Chinese support instead, as China's military gear appears to be way more efficient in comparsion with the outdated gear that's being produced in North Korea itself.
So basically, if you'd get the Chinese support away from DPRK, it'd be left with an extremely outdated gear to use and not that much useful military force now. Difference? None, except the country that lets North Korea to quite literally exist nowadays in some form.
Maybe that was true 60 years ago, but not anymore lol
@@kerikplay1692 yeah except NK been supplying Russia with arms, so... dunno how that works
Can fight without russia or china....this is BS. Even at the beginning of korean war, north korea rely on Soviet weapons and when they are about to lose after UN intervene, they ask mao zedong for help. Read history mate
