TLDW:
* Game's progress is going very well. All 8 Robot Master stages are done, as is Wily Castle. Most of the 2nd fortress is also done.
* The entirety of the 2nd fortress has been replaced and remade from basically scratch. The level theming's are similar, but it features about half of new stages by me, and half by Mike. There is also at least one new stage in Wily Castle.
* There is a custom character creator in this game. If there is interest I can do a preview video dedicated to that.
* There is a lot of new bosses in this game compared to the OG version of Revolution.
Honestly moving to Construct 3 has been the best thing that could've happened to this game. Whilst the game effectively had to be ported and a custom engine built from scratch, the Fusion build was honestly so difficult to work with it burnt both me and Mike out with it. It has also allowed a lot of new features that would've been impractical at best in the Fusion build.
Personal updates: This year has not gotten off to the best start, and I've effectively spent it bouncing in and out of hospital, and a whole lot of pain, discomfort and even had said to me "We might need to do surgery". They don't need to do that, as they figured they could treat it with Medication, but not giving too many more details, it hasn't been fun, and its really thrown a wrench into things. Hopefully the meds help out and I actually get some respite.
FYI everything said in the video was given the A-OK by Mike, so if some of the comments seem "mean" towards OG Revolution, believe me, Mike feels the same way I do, heh.

I saw the words "Revolution Remix Update" on my twitter timeline and immediately had to check this out. I'm so glad to see more progress of this game and I can't wait to play it, Best of luck to you and Mike.
We've been chugging along with it almost every day aside from some setbacks like health issues popping up like ACE disclosed for himself or I'm currently about 4 months into healing from my second spine surgery. But I think it really shows with all the progress.
That's some awesome updates over there. I can't wait to see more about the game.
No need to be ashamed about the multiple midbosses, we know you're a Treasure fan anyways ACE. ;-P
I'd pick the NES graphics myself, but to each their own. Those animated references in Amp Man tho.
What I love about Cryo Man's redesign is that it's unique in the sense that it still fits the iconic Mega Man design aspects (the monoeye, especially).
Also, good to see the issue of THAT certain plot twist being handled with actual foreshadowing instead of, well, being pulled out of the bum, so to speak.

I don't have Twitter or anything, so I don't know what happened to the MaGMML3 game, but it's nice to see that you seem to have been doing better after all the difficulties you've been going through.
Whatever the case, the quality of the fangames you make never ceases to amaze me! Whatever it is you're working on, I'll be excited for it nonetheless!

I'm definitely very excited for Mega Man Revolution Remix. There's so many new things being added and updated that I'm sure it will make the game an excellent experience. In the mean time, I shall wish Ace and Mike luck on the remaining development, as well as whatever else they may be working/dealing with (notably Quint's Revenge 2, as well as real life)
Holy hell, this is a VAST improvement from what I remember! There's so much more personality now and I love it.
Also ngl I burst into laughter seeing Sniper Joes roasting marshmallows in Pyre Woman's stage.
That actually is related to an achievement in the game. Lol

The challenges, changable style graphics and music, and lot of miscellaneous stuff are all definitely cool! But I do hope there's some sort of option to change the intensity of the heat wave rooms in Pyre Woman's level because those did feel a little strong in the eyes; and I'm the type of person who could handle the MM2 fortress boss death screen flashing fine
Mike's said he'll be toning down the flashing.
Yeah I slowed it down and deleted the two brightest hues.
I love the game updates and I think revolution is going to see a new light.
While the rest looks like Revolution. There are areas that are new too. Can't wait for the full release!
Absolutely love how this is turning out. You guys have done so much work on this remix, and it really shows. Definitely looking forward to playing this when it comes out. Quick question though. Can you change the graphics and music versions separately? I love the new visual style, but I prefer the more NES style music that you've been previewing these past years. Sounds great all around, just personal preferences.
You can cycle them independently with hotkeys or the options menu that is accessible in the pause menu and stage select instead of only the title menu.

It has that Game Gear aesthetic, where it has the 8-Bit design of the NES, but has that 16-Bit definition of Wily Wars... I would most definitely say 12-Bit...

How many playable characters are you going to make in the remix version of Megaman Revolution and also the 12 bit, 32bit and 24 bit.
There are technically infinite playable characters.

this version is much better than the original one. In the original one, some levels are too empty. However, in the updated version, it is solved and added some interesting gimmicks.
Even with all the filler removed, the stages are still a bit long for classic stages, but we tried to pack tons of interesting things in where they feel like they go by way faster.

Whoa! Nico's main concern was how boring the original game there was, and now that 12-bit artstyle is pretty outstanding (although maybe too much FX for my taste), as well as for the new interface showing enemy HP, and man, I love the unique intro and defeat scenes for the bosses (Cryo Man becomes my fav from these four).
lol I was actually saying after Blue November was fully coded that I wonder if Nico will be bored to death with it now.
This is looking great, but those intense heat rooms from Pyre Woman's stage could be toned down a little on the flashing. Nico Evaluates does evaluations on various Mega Man games, including fan games, and he has epilepsy.

Edit: The E-tank at 13:00 should have a challenge to get it, giving out gifts for free tends to be a no-no in mega man.
If you mean the extreme heat segments of Pyre Woman's stage, we toned that down making is cycle slower and the two brightest hues are deleted because you're not alone. Lol
