6th-grader's note leads to justice in hit-and-run

- College senior Andrew Sipowicz recently discovered a dent in his car. He also found a note, written by a sixth-grader who witnessed the hit-and-run. Steve Hartman has their story "On The Road."

She's a brave girl. When she grows up, she's going to find out the hard way that sometimes telling the truth will get you into trouble and many crimes way more serious than a simple accident go unpunished.
I once knocked off the driver's side mirror during a snow storm when my car skidded on ice. I stopped and left a note. The response....yep, my insurance went up and I paid for the damage, but turned out the woman's father owned a movie theater. She gifted me a pass for a few movies.

My niece hit my car at 2 am then got mad when I found out, we had to go to court she was order to pay me by the judge....i told I'll put you on a payment plan you think she ever paid me back....and my sister keep saying she don't have nothing to do with it
Idk know how to do this but you can file for a wage garnishment, dissolution of her bank account funds or put a lien on her vehicle until the debt is paid in full. You can also have this judgement entered on her TRW - again I am not sure how you would have that done. But whatever the process, I am pretty certain you may have to return to court and file an enforcement order.
On the flip side, I am sorry to have to tell you this but your sis is right. She's not involved just because they are related. Now if your sis was an accomplice that would be a different story altogether. ***BUT*** A cautionary tale to your sis, if she hasn't been involved all this time then she needs to continue to be just as neutral when you pursue what if rightfully yours - again. At this juncture you want your money, court costs and other fees you have incurred thus far and until that is done your case is still "UNRESOLVED."
Good luck to you and hopefully this will not fray the relationships between you, your sis and niece.

That's not surprising that the driver didn't say anything shame shame shame on the good for nothing driver to do something like that in front of kids. This little lady taught all of us a big lesson in integrity.

WOW! Shocking behavior for someone who is around children or not! Most school buses don't have seatbelts, maybe a child was hurt on impact. I love that the beautiful 6th grader left a note.
