SURFING COLOMBIA: Epic Tuc Tuc ride to the "Tofino" of Pacific Colombia - UNTIE THE LINES IV #35

- After we cleared into Colombia, the Gypsea Fleet went ashor to explore Bahía Solano and to fill up with fresh veggies. The small town of 7.000 inhabitants has a tranquil and friendly vibe and we sat for a while at the main plaza soaking up the local culture and chattimg away with the kids.
Once we saw that our ancors are holding, we left Karl, Joana and Easy by themselves (with Maria's parents having an eye on them) and squeezed our four butts and three surfboards into a tuk tuk. The one hour drive to El Almejal was an adventure by itself...but check out this new episode to find out for yourself.
As usual, we stumble upon a vibrant street celebration in the honor of the birth of Jesus Christ which the locals call Los Arullos. So many happy faces and dancing people around us, we could nkt help but join the celebration.
Enjoy & Ahoy,
Nike & Karl

Thanks for watching, liking, sharing and supporting these videos! Every little bit helps!

This is NOT a live documentary! There is a time difference between filming and publishing due to the time it takes to send data home, to edit the episodes and to internet not always being awailable on those little remote palm tree islands :).
Thanks for sharing the beauty and hapiness. Keep posting Nike! Vielen Dank! Gracias! Un beso.
"Don't worry. Pee happy." - priceless.
Love the video. I really like how you interact with the locals and sit down and talk with the kids. Most people just won't do that. You are a treasure. Keep smiling and sail on.
That's one of the best parts of traveling, I find ☺. Sitting on a plaza (preferrably with a cold bevarage) and watching the daily life pass by and have a little chat with the locals - priceless.
The Pacific coast of Colombia is a world of it's own....love it.
Beautiful music in this video.
Time flies when you're having fun it always seems like a really short time to enjoy your videos just can't get enough thanks for sharing
Adventures! Dog but I wish I was young(er) and in one piece. Thanks for taking this old geezer along on the ride.
Looks like an amazing cultural experience Nike! And Big adventure as always, miss you!
Love the locals in your videos and a drone finish, well done. Thanks
A beautifully done video, very enjoyable and thanks for sharing with us.
Definitely my favourite vid so far. Loving the choice of music. keep strong
That was quite an interesting ride.
Cool little video. Colombia is unique with so little road access to the Pacific coast for such a large coastline. Odd topography. All the better for preserving these little enclaves.
Realy nice vibe ladies, well done!
Great episode. Love the adventure...
Fabulous episode!
What a life! Fantastic to show us the highs and lows
Sketchy vehicles on sketchy roads. Travelling is so much fun! ;-) But then you get someplace amazing and have an awesome adventure. Can't beat it!
Very enjoyable! Love the folks all around. s/v ...Waves
As a surfer and future sailor this episode was magic, adventurers delight!
You would love the pacific coast of panama, colombia and ecuador for surfing! Such smooth waves and not as crowded as costa rica.
How long have you been surfing?
¡Gracias! For showing this to the world, i hope i can travel back to my country and get to these beaches to surf!
Viva Columbia. Chevere chica!
Karl mite get jealous if he could see you guys having fun and packed in that tuck tuck like that Lol! Looks like your all having a great time enjoy! 😎😁🤗⛵️🌴🍻 Oh and glad to see their helping with the recycling there too! Most important!
looks like paradise! Hard to imagine such awesome places like that exist, and they recycle too!! I wish there was more surfing video...But more on that.....Next time!
Look closer.
Nice video as usual. Take care.
Very interesting so far Nike, definitely remote, and very lay back easy going, and the people seem lovely😊
The people were awesome, everybody had big smiles on their faces, dancing away and always inviting us to join them. It was a really sweet little road trip
That place looks familiar, I think it’s down the beach from the Three Seasons Hotel. :) It looks like one of those places where time stops and you awaken a year later. Beautiful and definitely untouched by tourism. 👍👍👍
Wow, 5 people in a Tuk Tuk ... that's quite a challenge for the little vehicle. Looked like a lot of fun, though :-)
Oh man the world really is a beautiful place and that's the coolest looking Tuck tuck ever with the surfboards on the roof and the party down below .👍
It was indeed a fun ride and our driver was way cool!
Very nice that you support the local folks. dee
The Tofino of BC is a beautiful place! Although I've never surfed there I've spent many summers up there. Columbia looks like a beautiful place too!
.quite a wild ride but worth it
It is funny how people see what they want to see.

Drank so much you feel your dead
Somebody says your eyes are red
Don't worry, pee happy!
Bladder says that he won't wait
Smelly shorts is in your fate
Don't worry, pee happy!
LOL, La Bahia is awesome and Los Arrullos is a blast, I love the way the parents take their kids to the party! Thanks for sharing!
😂nice job!
This episode is particularly awesome. 5 peeps, 3 surf boards and overnight gear in a Tuk tuk, who needs a Suberban or Escalade!? I love how you interact with the children in the square and join in the music making at night. I want to travel like this, see the real. You are an awesome ambassador. Thanks :)
Thank you for your kind words, Jamie. This episode does show a lot about the way I personally love to travel, so I am very happy that you noticed it. Sitting on a plaza for hours and just watching and chatting with the locals does give one a great insight into the culture of a place. I am lucky that I speak Spanish, so exploring the countries I visited so far and interacting with the people was "fairly easy" for me. Will need to depend more on hands and feets when I get to some places where I don't speak the local language...But that's part of the adventure, too, isn't it?
🙌🙌
Qué lindo te quedo. La selección de música y escenas con la gente de el pueblo están perfectas.
Can you try to interview older people and children to listen at their point of view. Gracias
You found someone nice. i knew thats what you needed.
You all look like Bobble Heads riding in that Tuk Tuk :)
☺☺☺
I wonder why that beach is called the Tofino of Columbia? I have been to Tofino British Columbia (Canada) many times, and I remember in the early 1960's when the road was similar to your CZcams...
Once again, thanks for your video
There is more to recycling than just a recycling bin.
In order to do recycling you need different industrial processing plants, to do all the different types of recycling.
Or you can have different recycling bins to keep the tourists happy and then when you empty them just throw it all together with all the other waste.
one of your best! shows real talent.
Thank you, I am glad u liked it, I had a lot of fun filming it!
Certainly did enjoy this glimpse into the life in western Columbia. The video was amazing in all that it highlighted, the people, the music, the children, the food , village pastimes and the natural beauty of the area. Great job and thank you.
Colombia, they don't like it when you spell it wrong.
Have you been to Tofino in “British” Columbia? Beautiful sailing here but the water is not nearly as warm!
I was there some ten years ago, yes. Super pretty, but the surfers were wearing thick neoprenes 😂
Awesome! Nice town. The streets were so clean - they even recycle! I wonder why so people keep it clean and some don't??? I have been following you from the beginning. Are you on Patreon? or just paypal??
Hey Andrew, that's a good question. I think that mostly the places wil, be kept clean when there is some kind of tourism going on in the are. I was haply to see some bars in Ecuador that offered free cocktails for a bag of collected trash. In general, we saw more "trash fighting" in colombia and ecuador than in Panama....but no idea why that is the case...awareness, culture...to be found out 😌 And yes, i do have a patreon account u can find it at www.patreon.com/whitespotpirates. Thank you 😁
Sorry to be a double poster just went up to give you a thumbs up and saw somebody was dumb enough to give you a thumbs down I'm sorry for their ignorance and the fact you have to endure it have a good day
Thanks for ur compassion. But hey, that's life, you cannot please them all...😁
I only have one video on my channel and its flying along the coast and landing at Bahía Solano airport. Check it out to get a view of this town. Its one of my favorite's and it has flites there from Medellin daily and there are great hotels there to stay at and the fishing is un real. great video.
Good video, nice to see thee areas unedited.
You filmed yourself wiping out on a good sized wave! How did you manage that?
That was not me but my friend Maria. 😉
@@WhiteSpotPirates Thanks for that! I finally checked out your channel selection. OMG! I'm so lucky I ever received a reply. What a treasure of experiences and knowledge you have not only lived but preserved!! Hurray for you!
I know that you are home with family. Enjoy yourself and sleep late. Please do not get caught up in any excitement and decide to cut your hair. In your surfing video, it was the perfect length!
Hehe, too late for that...this was before the equator crossinf and i cut the hair when i coressed the equator...so too late for that warning ...
Where is that in colombia?
We were anchored in Bahía Solano and the surf spot is called El Valle. On the northern Pacific coast of Colombia

Hey, is that Mike Jacoby there?
Yes, that’s him, the one and only. He buddy boated with us from panama to Colombia.
I used to fly with him in Idaho. Never forget that face. Love your videos.
My heart is broken about your hair, crushed, ruefully sad.
I have been trying to resist asking but... is your crew your boyfriend?
You mean attempting surfing?
hehe, well, yes and no. we did surf, but I did not film whilst we were surfing because...I was suring ;) My gopro case was not waterproof anymore so I could not take it in with me and I did not want to spend my time fimling from land...But we are surely no pros ;)
@@WhiteSpotPirates I was just kidding, I've surfed my whole life and I respect anyone who paddles out . Love your vedios.
@@redsammy7789 the waves down there are really nice, you should try them out. And it's not crazily crowded.
