My m240i has a much better grill. No need for the new models to look like a badly drawn cartoons. At least the color blends it in a little and makes it look less hideous, but at that price point there should not be a need to try to "lessen the ugly".
Good review. Love my M4 Comp. Love the xDrive. I specd the CCBs, they’re a little scary until you get the warmed up. But the acceleration is mad. It’s a little quicker than the C8 around the ring and it’s a little faster in the qtr mile. It walks the C8 pretty good on top end.
Coming from RS Audi cars bmw finally spoke to me with this design. The build I have in mind for this car is going to be nuts even better than my Turbo Blue RS5 with the bronze vossen rims and AWE catless exhaust. This design just screams angry. ✊🏽👌
Anybody that complains about the grille hasnt seen the adro. Vorstiener. Or csl grille options u can put on it. I love how u can make ur m3 or m4 look different and unique depending on aftermarket parts

The new M3 is great. For the track I would take it over the caddy blackwing. For the street I would prefer the caddy. The sound of that V8 is delicious. The 6 will probably be around a few more years, but the V8 is gone. Thanks for the content.
I cross-shopped this and the C8. Went with the C8 because it’s so much lighter and has a better transmission. Would love this S58 engine in my Corvette though! I’ll pass on the EV’s; I’ve already got enough appliances in the house
Im a g80 m3 xdrive owner and I like older corvettes not a big fan of the mid engine models, I have test driven a z06 and I gotta say I think the m3 is a little better with their transmission. Keep in mind the ZF8 is set to handle over 1000+hp the stock block s58 can push out without having to rebuild a brand new engine, reason why I went with the G80 m3.
Regarding the Parking button “if you just turn the vehicle off it will automatically switch to park from drive”. No need to press or even use the parking button.
Nice car I love how they took the hood design from the 1999 Grand Am GT from Pontiac and the grill from the 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 they finally got the memo that those aggressive looks work

if you can get pass the front end design and the curb weight of the this car then it's a great car. Its no ultimate driving machine but for 70-80k its quite the performance.
I'll never get into that front end. I've got two BMW cars at the moment, and I'm shopping for another, but I won't buy one with that rabbit teeth grill. BMW needs to get rid of the guy who designed that before he put his "touch" on other models.

I just got the rwd m3 competition. I didn't get the xdrive cause I didn't want a jeep but m3 traditional driving experience. Xdrive is over hyped. I live in nor cal. No need for extra weight and the front end sits higher on the xdrive taking away its aggressiveness.
It doesn’t sit any higher than the RWD model at all, that’s false. Other than the weight penalty (and cost) there is no difference between, xDrive cars don’t even have any badges saying that it’s the AWD model
I have a 2022 competition xdrive, the front doesn't sit any higher lol. The extra weight is a whole whopping 90 pounds, if you get the bucket seats and the carbon ceramic brakes the penalty is gone if that's what is bothering you. Xdrive is faster in every way period, look at track times coming out lol. Second, you can literally switch between xdrive and RWD, there is zero reason not to get it. Cope more with your purchase.
You'd think, that with it being a 3 litter inline 6, it would be an equivalent of a 2JZ, but they do not sound the same on rev. Granted, sure, that could be due to the exhaust, but typically you can tell what a 2JZ sounds like even with stock exhaust
don’t listen to this moron doubt he owns a m3 let alone driven one. I actually have owned e92s and f80 M3s now I own a g80 m3 comp xdrive and track it. Significantly better steering response compared to the previously generation, suspension wise too significantly better overall you feel more confident taking turns in the g80 m3 then you would with the older models. If you ever plan on getting one it’s worth every penny.
GT500 is more raw, and suspension is more intuitive for corners. Really hard to compare because the focus is very different. I think the M3 has a super advanced set up for its class, making it both smooth and responsive. From a base standpoint, one is track first (GT500) other is street first (M3).
I’d have to disagree being that I have test driven a gt500 on the track and currently own a g80 m3 comp xdrive, my m3 feels a lot sharper around the corners and hide the weight of the car. Sure the gt500 is a track purpose car but then again everyone honestly says that because of the 200 hp advantage, and if you look at the engineering aspect seems to be BMW has a better suspension set up versus the gt500. If Im not mistake c8 corvettes and gt500 are slower then the M3s on the Nurburgring too. Not biased I love all the cars but a lot of people don’t know much about the g80 and is it doesn’t have the hype the new muscle cars like corvettes and mustangs are getting now these days.
To all the g80 m3 haters who keep saying it’s overhyped or terrible steering, doubt you ever owned one let alone tracked that car before. Being an owner of a g80 m3 comp xdrive steering feels better then the previous generation without a doubt, so does the handling. Some idiot said it’s strictly a family sports sedan, oh yea why am I on Porsches tails when Im hauling around willow springs or Laguna Seca 😂😂😂? Oh and why am I faster then your previous gt500 and c8 z06 with some minor bolt ons like air intake pipes, 3inch honey comb air filters and exhaust with a tune? Amazing car except for umm...the issue, and that's not the lack of a V8, lol. It's like the supermodel of your dreams but uhh...she has a beard. I don't want to sound superficial, but it's an expensive car, and there is no reason it has to look like a cartoon up front. I wonder if there are any aftermarket front clips being made.
That was all of the hype when the car came out. But everyone in the community is used to the car, now and everyone that owns one, owns one, because they love the look.

I did the same, but it’s a little quicker on the track, and it walks away from a C8. 117 to 122 in the qtr.

These are running mid 9s tuned. Nobody needs a V8. There are GTRs making 3500hp. No need for a V8.
