Everything you need to know to beat Azar in Chrono Ark

- With the official release of Chrono Ark 1.0, here's a video guide explaining all the mechanics of the Azar boss fight! Hope this helps new players, returning players, players who want to consume Chrono Ark content, whoever. Info provided is based on Expert Mode on Blood Mist 4 but the video is annotated for Normal Mode as well. I tried to cram the most important details and strategy into 12 minutes of yapping but I'm sure it's not exhaustive - feel free to leave questions in the comments!
Also if you're wondering why some of the footage has me fighting Azar in misty forest with 130 soulstones, it's because I was using the debug mod to collect footage.

As promised, here's all the Ultimate Illusion Sword passives:
Forced Recycle: Whenever this Ultimate Illusion Sword casts an attack, discard the top 2 skills in hand and draw 2 skills.
Imprison: Target of this Ultimate Illusion Sword cannot act.
Seal: Cannot use Lucy skills
Heal Block: Target of this Ultimate Illusion Sword cannot be healed. (The target also gets a buff that gives +25% attack and +50% healing power for the duration that Heal Block is active)
Countdown: All skills in hand gain 1 Countdown
Pain Immunity: All units on this character's side take 1 damage from Pain.
Suppress: All Swiftness skills in hand cost 1 more Mana.
Tenacity: While this unit is on the field, Azar gains Taunt status and 40% Armor. All other swords also gain 40% Armor. Azar gains Taunt status. When this Illusion Sword is destroyed, remove Azar's Taunt. All units on this character's side (except this unit) gain 40% Armor.
Increase Upper Cost: Before this sword is destroyed, all skills above 'Deflect' cost 1 more. This buff does not reappear once it is selected. **Phase 2 only**
He usually summons a bunch of swords, points them at you, and FORCES YOU TO READ.

Azar on expert is really traumatizing. I know his every possible move and still can't beat it normally, managed to do this only once when I accidentally looped my deck with remaining 7 cards in deck total, both moon and sun shard, and infinite lighting draw + basic protection with Ironheart, who was sole survivor on the third phase with 400 shield and shield wave. Other than that, swords are just too suffocating. But in Normal he is basically the same level of difficulty as Forgotten King and gives no problem at all, no matter how you experiment with your parties.
I'm only 30 hours into the game, chrono ark is my first time playing a card game and he traumatized me even in normal mode, maybe I just suck but I can't beat his last phase 😭. I hope this video can help me
