Finally a bit of winter in Athens too. Snow is coming this weekend so let's be prepared with καυσόξυλα. In North Greece last week the temperature dropped to -20°C. Totally different "world".

The specific suburb is Vasilika not Vasiliki. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Who actually told you about that nickname of Salamyconos !!!! Indeed many call it out like that. Pity you didn't visit the monument dedicated to the heroes of the first recorded naval battle in the world between the Athenian Alliance and Persian fleet where cunning Themistocles defeated them. Also you got to visit the cave where the tragic poet Euripedes lived a good part of his life and wrote many of his works. Also worth visiting is the tomb of Georgios Karaiskakis hero of the Greek Revolution (most insane guy of all of them) which is inside St Dimitrios church in the center of the city. Also a must not miss is just outside of the city where the Euripedean Theatre is to visit the hill going up with a car to have one of the best view around in the whole island. You practically can see Al the way to Perama from there !!!

Its strange but never visit salamina.,... maybe because in my mind was very close to main oil refinery's of Greece.....so no good to go for holidays no clean sea ets...
