Here's a weekly test of the sirens in Daviess County, Kentucky, conducted every Friday at Noon. I decided to head back to one of my favorite ones in the county under suspicion that this siren got switched to alert and in fear of an imminent replacement. There's another one on the west side of the county but it's in a weird spot and parking is difficult. Lately, new Whelen Vortexes have been popping up and replacing non -DC sirens. Within the past few years, the 10V2T in Philpot got replaced as well as Yelvington's "rotating" Model 5. It's possible these sirens get put back up elsewhere, but I'm unsure at this point.
I believe sometime between the past year or two this siren got switched to alert. As far as I'm aware, it's the only one in the county that doesn't do attack which has been the standard since Owensboro first got sirens. I first noticed it last year during a tornado warning, but I thought it was an accidental thing. The siren also doesn't cancel, and did a full, three minute cycle instead. That could've been a fluke, but I'll take the longer test.
Enjoy, and as always comment, like, and subscribe for more. Thanks!

Nice man! When we're talking high quality siren vids you certainly are the one with plenty!
I always love the windup of these things.
Nice video! Like that CSX crossing there as well, lol.
Thanks! Literally just a few minutes before this siren went off a CSX train went through.

Nice Video!
At least we got a full 3 minutes of dual tone out of her!
Nice Video, Brandon! This is the best video of a 10V2T! No one comes close to this one!

*Update* This siren was removed
Can someone explain the long and short berols on the siren I dont get why sentry makes the 10v2T like that
I like the sound of this one.
It’s Spinnin Like A Record Baby!
Okay that is good
Was there an audio problem during recording??? Good tone, but hardly and volume (my phone volume maxed out).
Hmm...that's weird. It sounds good on my end. You could try the SoundCloud link I have in the description. I have the audio also on there.
Fine on my phone
That windup and wind down is so megestic
Well some siren can have problems because it’s old but this siren is sentry witch can be old and loud when you listen to it
This one was installed 2012? So not very old.
Philpot’s Siren is a Model 7, right? You had written 10V2T in the description.
Just Plain Weird Goat Yes and no, they have that Model 7 and a 10V2T at Hines Precision which was the one that got replaced. Both sirens are actually located just outside of town with that 7 being more between Philpot and Masonville.
Are these still manufactured
do the model 5 at masonville KY Next Video
Please make another video named 3T22A I Full Attack I Louisville, KY (Daviess Co. Tornado Siren Test, HD)
Well...two things, Louisville is in Jefferson County, and there's a 99% chance it's going to be tested in alert.
@@DSRX100 So I'll change this to Jefferson Co.
Federal Signal 3T22A I Attack I Louisville, KY (Jefferson Co. Tornado Siren Test, HD) is your next video.
@@thisisadeadchannelbczitsdead your not understanding what hes saying, Louisville *DOES NOT TEST IN ATTACK* so therefore he *CANNOT* name his next video what you said. Please respond if you actually understand...
Federal Signal 3T22A I Alert I Louisville, KY (Jefferson Co. Tornado Siren Test, HD) is your next video, DSRX100.
How did you manage to get such a stable shot from the drone when there was wind?
No drone was used here due to the rain. The close up shot is from my telephoto lens. The siren is actually a bit crooked too so it looks eye-level, almost like a drone shot.
@@DSRX100 Can you do latonia ky SRNs please? There's a modulators in Newport, A P-15 in lunken playground Ohio, A EOWS 1212 in cold spring ky please do those sirens Newport modulators do alt wail!

sentry doesn't have a sidekick yet
Cool!
Thanks SETV12!
This thing using a CD&F Radio or a company based radio control system
Most likely a Whelen Radio due to the other types of sirens in the county, and the polling system they use.
@@niks_crazy_world Whelen doesn't make a controller for mechanical sirens.
Blue10AEMia wasn’t the MSC-864 a mechanical siren controller? I seem to remember seeing a picture of one of those a few weeks back
That thing is leaning a bit.
