Good car speekers have been around since the 90s and marine grade also yet still every bike that goes buy is just blasting a song that sounds like it was recorded in a tin can. So this fits the the standard model perfectly.
Ive seen worse, and done worse 😂. I worked with a crackhead who did his own wiring in his bmw to make it a "competition" audio car. Dude used duct tape to splice and drywall screws for the speakers, without a wooden backer like your son had
