I really appreciated how they scaled the two groups against each other. Usually in crossovers both sides get altered to allow for an even match. King Kong was enlarged. Batman Got his anti Superman suit. Jason is getting a fear of water. etc. In this one though we see "just another job" for the Lupin gang, but Cat's Eye is entirely out of their depth. They are not used to having guns waved around in their faces. For Lupin that's just a monday. And a tuesday. And a ... you get the idea.
They suddenly have to play in a whole different league. Yet they still manage to contribute to the plan.

This isn't Lupin the Third! This animation is good, but this is ANOTHER UNIVERSE! Why there is a character who is called Fujiko but looks like Ada Wong from Resident Evil and why she is wearing a military uniform?
This isn't Fujiko, this is a random girl in uniform and she doesn't interact with Lupin and his Gang!
And in this crossover Lupin also doesn't really interact with Fujiko, but with this the Cat's Eye Team! But he interacts with Ai, and maybe she is his love interest now.
Fujiko is more evil in this version and doesn't really love Lupin, so what stopps her to kill him if she wants?

It's still Lupin The Third. Lupin has been very loose with its history. There isn't a "Lupin the Third universe" there's just the shows and movies that involve the characters. Fujiko is pretty on point because she's often using Lupin or the bad guys underestimating Lupin to get what she wants, it's all a paycheck/way to get paid at the end of the day for her. Which Lupin knows so uses that to throw everything about her plan out
