As someone who has been watching from the very first episode, I can say the journey you have both been on is tremendous; truly the stuff of dreams. From those early amateur style videos on the monohull, not know what you were doing (but not letting that stop you), to the beautiful family life you’re living now, it’s an amazing story.
I’m sure at times you get caught up in the everyday, but i hope you know that you guys really are living something that a think a part of us all wishes we had the opportunity and courage to. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Very intriguing 🧐 where the clothing came from . The island we go to in the VI had similar ….left by immigrants from refugees to lighten their land trek ( as they evaded authorities)
A bunch of clothes (WITH suitcases) on the beach it makes me think about the ocean plane crashes that never really was found, like the air france and malaysian airline's big crashes. I made me kinda sad! haha. But glad the clothes get a new life.

OMG! I loved the fashion show. My daughter gets so mad at me because I refuse and have always refused to purchase new clothing. It's been second hand or give away clothing for me most of my life. I have broken down due to shaming to purchase a few new garments and of course, no one wants to wear used underwear, socks or shoes. Your videos are always so uplifting, informative and inspirational. Thank you!

Lenny's recurring cough: how about mold? Boats are a hotbed of mold ...some of it you can't even see that just grows on the walls. How do you guys stay on top of the mold which would obviously affect the boys much more strongly than it would affect you. But when your guest mentioned the sore legs after diving, that's very typical of mold exposure to have neuromuscular symptoms like premature fatigue in your muscles. Riley said he didn't feel very well: again if you have mold in your lungs and your strong and healthy like Riley, you may not feel it on a day-to-day basis until you do something more strenuous like some diving. Ss someone who is sensitive to mold, I am all too familiar with how it affects people's health in ways they're not even aware of and they don't even realize that they have mold in their home but I've always wondered how you guys stay ahead of it because on other boating channels, I've seen couples who are constantly cleaning their walls to keep them mold free.
Hello guys! Just wanted to start out by saying I love your channel. I’ve been watching now for a few years and look forward to each new episode. This post is in regards to Lenny’s croup/cough you have mentioned in the last few episodes. My daughters asthma was misdiagnosed for a couple years before we finally were referred to a pulmonologist. In the beginning she had several cases of what we were told was croup and were told to run the shower for steam and expose her to the steam or if it were cold out to expose her to the cold air if she had croup. This seemed to work initially but then after some severe instances that ended up with trips to the ER one which required an ambulance and my daughter being administered epinephrine breathing treatments on the way to and at the hospital. She was literally turning blue and couldn’t breathe before the ambulance arrived. I’ve never been so scared in my life and sick to my stomach with worry and fear. So we went to a Pulmonologist and the first thing he told us is you only have true croup once and that anything more than that is usually chronic croup or asthma. She had all the allergy test that came back negative to having any allergies. She was ultimately diagnosed with asthma after undergoing some sort of esophagus scope and several breathing tests etc. Her asthma triggers are change in weather usually fall and spring and also whenever she has a cold typically can trigger an asthma attack. Things have been good and we are able to manage her asthma with a daily maintenance steroid inhaler and albuterol when needed. Fortunately in the last several years since her diagnosis we haven’t had any trips to the hospital and have been able to treat and manage it with her medications. Just wanted to let you know not to scare you but let you know it might be worth making an appointment for Lenny with a pulmonologist if you haven’t already. It could be a really scary and helpless situation out on the boat far from help in a situation like that without the proper treatment. Anyway just wanted to throw that out there. I hope it’s not the case and I hope all is well but just wanted to share because I just got a sick feeling and flashbacks from my daughters experience when I heard you mention Lenny’s croup. Once again I love you channel! Keep up the great work! Love you guys. Sincerely, Todd

The main reason for Lenny´s respiratory inflammations is sleeping in cold and extremely damp conditions. And things like standing in the wind while wet from swimming, swimming in not so warm water, etc. So, generally, being cold, being in a damp environment. Also, the abrupt changes from being very hot (sunbathing) to being cold (in the evening and at night). It´s the number one cause. Because when our body is cold, it reacts by narrowing blood vessels, to preserve inner temperature. This leads to the slowing down of blood circulation. This in turn leads to the slowing down and shortages of immune cells, because blood is transport for them. Which allows bacteria and microbes to start prevailing in respiratory passages, in nose, throat, trachea and lungs. That´s why things like draft, or old Victorian houses, or sitting in cold rain fishing are generally associated with getting coughs or flu or pneumonia.

Hey Riley / Elayna just wanted to thank you guys for getting me into sailing. A few years back (after finding SLV) I posted on a local FB page here in Atlanta GA USA and started crewing with keelboat races on a local lake. Then just last week myself and my gf did a charter around the exumas with a gang of young guys and gals. I don't think I'd have ever done that if I hadn't found you guys, just wanted to say thank you and wish you the best as you continue your adventures!
My son had constant croop. I started to give him Olive leaf extract and he hasn't had it since.
This was great the clothes off the beach! It had me laughing. When u said u were recognized in the restaurant and were mortified about your shoes I'm still laughing while writing this!! 😂😂😂😂

My baby brother had croup cough alot when we were kids. My mamaw ( granny) was from the mountains of Tennessee. She had all kinds of home remedies. Mamaw took my brother, who was about 3 years old at that time, and stood a long stalk of Eucalyptus beside my brother, she cut it exactly three inches taller than he was. She then told us to stand the Eucalyptus stalk behind my brother's bed ( at the headboard) , and leave it there until he outgrew it. Well, time went by , we forgot all about that stalk pretty much. Then ,( I can't remember if it was a year , or a bit more ), we realized that he hadn't been sick in a long time! He is 56 years old now, and never had any respiratory illnesses , croup , or allergies ever again. Sooo, lol, ( sorry for the lengthy comment 😆) , Might be worth a shot for Lenny ? God bless your beautiful family 🤗. P.S. , Your male helper on the boat is so handsome! 😉 , Does he have a single older brother?? Lol, just teasing...

Whenever you show us the corals, I could cry. I had visited that region in the early 90th and did a lot of scuba diving in the middle of an explosion of life, colors and reefs. In comparison to that times you are diving a grave yard... so sad.
