- FUNNY Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen Sees an Apple for the First Time in His Life! Sh. Abdur Razzaq Al Badr
Although this story is rather funny, several lessons can be derived from it:
- Patience upon seeking knowledge, and that this is the only way we can attain it (and anything else we desire). The Prophet Salla Allahu Alayhi Wa Sallam said: "Know that victory is with patience"
- The importance of knowledge, such that the Sheikh wasn't willing to give up, although all his friends had stopped attending the lesson and the book was very difficult. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever treads a path seeking knowledge, Allah will make the path to Jannah easy for him".
-That we should never underestimate the reward that may be attained from small actions. Sheikh Abdurrahman As Si'di (May Allah have mercy upon him) continued although there was only one student remaining. The prophet ﷺ said: "Don't underestimate any good action, even if you were to meet your brother with a happy face"
- A scholar often has wisdom that others may not be able to comprehend, until the fruits of the action/ decision become apparent.
- It is important to encourage students by giving them gifts and rewarding them for their hard work.

Your work in translating to English is helping connect us to some of the major scholars. Jazak Allaah khair, thank you. May Allaah reward you for your efforts 🤲
Assalaam Alaikum Umm Is-haq. I appreciate your spelling of Is'haq. Many make the mistake of writing the name as Ishaq. The spelling should represent the correct pronunciation. BarakAllahu fik.
Subhaanallah, the Shaikh (rahimahullaah) studies so much, he couldn't recognize an apple.
Allaahu Akbar. What are we doing with our lives ... ... ...
There was no laugh no smile just moistened eyes.

What simple life the shaykh had rahimahullaah. Just focusing only on the deen. Rahimahullaah.
@shauci ok so the shaykh wasn’t focusing on the deen. Thank you for clarifying that.

The shaykh at the beginning said this is a funny story. And most likely shaykh ibn uthaymin found it funny too and used to tell it to his students as طرفة

I was so moved and laughing so much too because it's so heart warming and innocent, Al-hāmdulillah may Allāh bless the people of knowledge, they are truly the best of us.

BarakAllah feekum akhi
I'm kinda confused, why did the sheikh give him an apple?
May Allah have mercy on both of them
Apples weren't really available in those days in many countries, including Saudi, so they were considered a luxury.
@@subulassalam6067 Ohh ok jazakAllahu khair akhi
@@Abu_Abdullah790 Wa Iyyakum
@@subulassalam6067 That's crazy how today it's so common. I assume it was a luxury because apples don't grow in the Arabian lands, correct?
Apple's are not native fruit of hot and dry climate. But rather of cold weather. Like America , kashmir in India and likewise. Those days international import export were limited to elite , or businessmen or to those who were at higher authority.

كما قال ابن حنبل
فلواحد كن واحدا تشبت بالله
An apple of Jannah maybe =)
Translation is kind of confusing because it sounds like Ibn Si'di was the one who received the apple.
Wait, who gave the apple to who? Why dis sheikh ibn uthaymeen rahimuallah take out an apple from his pocket, or was it the other sheikh. Translation not clear
Sheikh Al Si'di gave it to Ibn Uthaymeen, as a gift for Ibn Uthaymeen's patience. Ibn Uthaymeen was his student
Title a bit confusing
It is sweet story with full meaningful not funny
Also it seems the students who saw the apple was given to him by Sheikh Ibn Uthaymain not the Sheikh who saw it the first time
The title is confusing
Its just a clickbait, which is not nice at all... this story is not funny. Pls dont write the titles as clickbaits..
It's not clickbait. Go to the beginning of the video, where the sheikh says "min at taraa'if...- it means : "one of the funny incidents...", then the sheikh mentions the story.
So I was just repeating what the sheikh said in the title.
This is funny for? Do you know many lessons can be derived from this story.
Please change it.
