It is disliked to place one's hands on his waist during the prayer. The waist is the middle of the human body, and it is the narrow section above the hips. The Hanafi scholar As-Sarkhasi said: "He should not place his hands on his waist, as it is reported from the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, that he forbade this action in prayer." The Maaliki scholar Al-Muwaaq quoted ‘Iyadh as saying: "From the disliked actions in prayer is to place one's hands on his waist while standing, as it is from the actions of the Jews." The Hanbali scholar Al-Buhooti said: "It is disliked that one places his hands on his waist during the prayer, as it is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, forbade man to place his hands on his waist during the prayer." Just to note the translation at 00:56 is misleading as it says "he wouldn't pray at night" whereas the sheikh actually said he didn't pray, i.e. the night he was visiting, rather than to suggest the imam never used to pray at night altogether. Allah knows best

Here is my brief Summary with the questions included, i changed some of the translations the way I thought suited best. Questions - What is the cure for the one who has been controlled by disease (of desire?) - What is the way out for the one who has been dominated by chaos (of being lost in desire?) - What is the action for the one who has been overcome by laziness? - What is the way to success? - What is the escape for the who has been overtaken by confusion? - And if he seeks to grow closer to Allah, his desires prevent him - If he seeks to remember (Allah) he is overwhelmed by thoughts (day-dreaming) - If he wants to do productive work, he loses his spirit to do so - Desire has won over him, so you see him in constant confusion and contemplation, he is drunk of desire - if he seeks to grow closer to those he loves, his motivation scatters (weakens) so he continues to abandon them. - He has abandoned his relatives and acquaintances so that he may accumulate wealth, and find those who can help him attain it. - but this only increased him in confusion and those whom he sought only neglected him - is that the case, such that he who seeks help from them is humiliated? Answers - its cure, is to seek refuge in Allah the most high, and constantly humble yourself to Allah the most perfect. - The supplications, is to learn the Duas linked to the Prophet peace be upon him, and to make them at the times where Duas are accepted: Like the end of the night (before Fajir), at the times of adhan and Iqama, and in Sujood, and at the end of prayer (before making tasleem) - He should add to all of that istighfar, for the one who makes istighfar to Allah then repented to him, He will grant him enjoyment until an appointed time - Also, he should appoint for himself adhkar at the to ends of day and night (Fajir to sunrise, Asr to Maghrib) - He should also be patient upon anything he encounters that may prevent or hinder (from what comes in the way of getting over his fitna or bla’ - trial -) for indeed, Allah will assist you with a ruh from him (a spirit, assistance, light, guidance) and he will write Iman in his heart. - And he should maintain and look after fulfilling the mandatory ones from the five prayers, internally and externally (proper kushoo’/tranquility and proper salah actions) for it is the pillar of the religion - and let his Hujjaryah (his frequent words of solace) la hawla wala quwata illa biAllah al aly al atheem. for he with it will shoulder difficulties, deal with frightening difficulties, and attain the most lofty circumstances - He should not be tired (or lose motivation) of Dua and asking, for indeed, the slave will be answered for him what he is not hasty on (or as long as he isn't hasty) in which case, he will say: “I asked and it was not granted for me” - And he should know, that victory is with patience, and relief is with difficulty, and with hardship is ease, and that no one has attained anything good, a prophet or not, except with patience. and all praise and thanks is for Allah master of the worlds.

i think by “internet” he is actually trying to say social media. i agree with him fully, however i have built a islamic hijabi brand called Satinaa , on the internet , i read my books there… and most importantly everything i have learned about islam , and this video is on the internet only due to my non-religious family. social media is no good, im so glad i removed it a while ago
