  • Partnering with Tourism PEI, we continue to explore the central part of the province, which includes the Fall Flavour Festival in Victoria-by-the-sea and the 5/15 Fermentation trail, which is 5 different producers making things like spirits, honey wine, cider, and more!
    This was our first time visiting PEI since our Road to 150 tour back in 2017. This is part 2 of a 3-part series. You can watch part 1, which is when we sleep in a lighthouse, at • WE SLEPT IN A LIGHTHOU... .

    We’re Matt & Karla, a Canadian couple with two totally different backgrounds.
    Matt is the “quintessentially Canadian”, born under the northern lights in Northern Alberta with family all over the country, whereas Karla is originally from Mexico City, bringing a totally fresh perspective to a country she has fallen in love with.
    Over the past 10 years, we have travelled to 42 countries spanning six continents, which has given us the expertise to plan amazing trips and find memorable experiences.
    In 2017, we decided to explore our own massive backyard with Road to 150, a 150-day #roadtrip across #Canada, witnessing the beauty and diversity of this country and sharing our experiences through video, pictures, social media, and articles. Since then, we’ve helped thousands of Canadians and travellers worldwide make the most of every Canadian experience.

    Thanks for sharing PEI. I miss it so much. Haven't been back in years. My in laws live out there. I used to go there every summer when my kids were little. My cousin is a lobster & crab fisherman. 👍 Thanks for sharing this video with us. 👍😊 Most of them live in Summerside & Kensington. & They have cottages out at Cousin's Shore & Twin Shores. I do not enjoy any raw seafood. 😳😱 Love steamed mussels. 👍😋 They have the best seafood chowder out there. 😋👍👏 The food looks absolutely delicious! I want to try out Chef Michael Smith's restaurant the next time I go to PEI.

      @MustDoCanada  Před 2 lety +1

      Yeah! We went to Chef Michaels place in 2017. Didn't go this time as it's quite expensive, but if we were to splurge, that's the place to do it!

    Love your videos guys... that was hilarious at the end: "there's the proof." Hahahaha. Please show more scenery, and the architecture and surroundings of the restaurants you visit, so we can feel like we're there with you. Keep up the great work. I'm definitely going to visit PEI the next I'm in Canada.

    • @MustDoCanada
      @MustDoCanada  Před 2 lety

      That's a good idea! It's funny. We've always shyed away from showing too much food/drink/restaurants as we never know what to say to describe it, but it seems like people like it.

    You guys have stronger stomachs than me! Even on Vancouver Island where oysters were plentiful and I wanted to be a true islander... Being from a farm, I find that's there is no real substitute for roast beef and potatoes!! Looks like a fun trip though.

    • @MustDoCanada
      @MustDoCanada  Před 2 lety +1

      haha If it's between oysters and steak, steak 100%. Though shrimp does pair well with beef :)

      @@MustDoCanada hate to admit this, but the very thought of eating oysters, especially raw ones makes me gag!! Shrimp and fish and chips, and of course must try lobster rolls! By the way who made the best lobsters in PEI?

    • @MustDoCanada
      @MustDoCanada  Před 2 lety

      @@MatildaandSuki haha I can see that. The texture is horrible. I doubt we'd ever order them but happy to try them when they're "around". Oh man, I don't think we tried enough to say
