It would have been nice if the cups were glass or some kind of metal, since they’re collectors. I remember when I was a kid getting the Disney tumbler cups from McDonalds. I had the Lion King 👑 one.
Paying about $2.50 more on a meal to get a mystery collector cup is insane to me. Funny I was looking at the price differences and the Big Mac meal cost $2.50 more while the nugget meal cost $2.70 more with the collectors cup. At least with the kids meal the value makes it cheaper than ordering basically the same thing without a toy. I get they’re trying to make money, but with a cheap plastic raggedy cup they could’ve just made it like just $0.50 more.
I was fortunate enough to have bought the entire set off ebay for approx 7d a cup on Monday, now sellers are asking double that! I suppose McDonald's employees make alot of money as many cups never are available to the consumer. I love McDonald's but the random selection would've been way too costly at around 10d or more for the meal.

You have to buy the Extra Value Meal to get the cup as well in Canada and it's more expensive because of the cup. At least ours are real glass but there's no color in the glass, just embossed with the image.
So there's a code in thr back of the bag at the bottom. You can potentially ask the employees to swap it out for one when they're not busy.
