Funnily enough, Doku was one of the lead Weapon/Armor/Cosmetics Designers for Planetside2. Did a great job there and I'm so glad this gem gets more attention, especially considering this is done by a single mad lad. Can't wait to get my hands on it!
Even more amazing is that he started making player-designed cosmetics for Planetside 2. At some point, the devs hired him to make other stuff like guns.

Doku's cosmetics were literally the best in PS2, i had a load of them! The dude has an eye for design :)
PS2... fuck me.... I was playing so much of this game with my wife. I was tank driver main and she was my Halberd gunner. So many great trips to flank enemy columns inside our Vanguard or Magrider. Jesus, what a game that was.
And camping towers with HE shells :D
I have following the dev of this game for over a year now. I am so happy to see it featured by big youtubers, hopefully this will drive sales ❤
He's done the lords work trying to make Planetside 2 look better. A great person and I hope nothing but the best for his game.
The game UI and invisibility kinda reminds me of Crisis for some reason. Amazing that it’s made by one person, hope he can inspire other solo devs and small teams. Seems to be the year of indie games

With technology getting better you will see more of these in the future... also with AI helping make models for building and stuff I assume dev teams will become smaller as time goes on

One can easily imagine that amount of skill it'll take to master it, and the countless satisfying / wow moments that it'll give us, while we're having a blast at it - something that is quite rare in our modern triple A games (specifically shooters).

I remember Doku from Planetside 2. He was making cool customer skins for the game back then and at some point, the devs hired him to design guns.

Action Half-life was my jam back in the late 90's! I participated in some of the national competitions too. Good memories.

yo, I recently checked this demo out not to long ago, has potential!
The specialists had so many good ideas with the range of stunts you could do and the variety of gameplay (aside from heavier loadouts being weak). It's a shame nobody has been able to capture that level of depth in a stunt system since.

Jack you ever play the half-life mod natural selection? It was marines vs aliens and it was super fun. Also liked how the marines had the commander in the chair.

played vs doku and a gang, was fun! I think the game needs a whole lot of work but I also discovered a lot new things when playing.

Jack, any chance you're talking about the half-life mod called "double action" too? It's a game I loved as a child and played often. Slow mo and diving was a big factor, and it was modelled after old-school action games. I used to love it when actual DOVES would fly out at some moments. Great game, would be fun to see you and the boys take that for a spin on a private server - I assume it's dead now!
