A lot of people don't realize that Kendrick didn't have inspiration to start a new project for a long time. That's what makes this album so great. It wasn't years in the making. He was enjoying his tour and the work from GKMC

i hated to pimp a butterfly when i first herd it. i was def numb to the sound it had and i wanted to hear the current "Hip Pop" kinda sound...but then when i listened to it later I LOVEEEEEEEEED it so much. this album is so powerful. Truly a great album....front to back.
