What makes their achievement even more remarkable is that they were competing with 3 teams who were relegated from the premier league the season before. When they get relegated they receive millions in parachute payments, which allows them to keep some of their premier league players and also purchase some top quality players. Ipswich had none of that ,they only got promoted to the championship the season previous. So to win back to back promotions is something special. I am an Ipswich Town supporter and we're known as the Tractorboy's due to our rural location in England hence the farmer connection.
As a lifelong Ipswich fan who was at this game, I cannot begin to tell you how much joy this video brought me. Fair play mate.

As someone from Ipswich, love this. Bit of history we have had years of being mediocre, however we got new American ownership a few years back who soon enough brought in McKenna as head coach and since then everything has been on an upwards trajectory.
Some history of the team, we have won the english title, a European cup and FA cup. Significant figures would be two of our previous managers Sir Alf Ramsey and Sir Bobby Robson who both left Ipswich to manage England, Alf being the only manager to ever lead England to World Cup victory.
Our club sponsor for the last few years, has been Ed Sheeran.
Player wise plenty of key players but not one superstar, really is about team mentality over individuals.

The last 2 seasons have been fantastic. I have been going to Portman Road for over 45 years. My season ticket is great. We do not have a best player we have a great team. Well done ITFC COYB.

Best player for me there's only 1 Chaplin and burns is more reliable but Hutchinson sparkled for us on loan all season

I have just Subscribed on the understanding you will now join the rest of the World outside The USA and call it "Football" NOT "soccer" LOL The Premier League is the most important and glamorous league in THe World's greatest and most popular Sport=Football. PROMOTION means $250,000,000 difference between the Second Tier and THe Premier League. The teams plat 46 against 23 opponents both Home and Away and Ipswich needed to win. The other team was RELEGATED into The Third Tier. Ipswich gained TWO successive Promotions but LAST season ALL 3 promoted teams got RELEGATED from The Premier League as there is an enormous gulf between the 2 divisions. The Premier League has some of the World's best players.
