- Poster sessions are an important part of scientific meetings. Unlike talks, posters are all about dialog. How do you design a poster that maximizes opportunities for conversation?

I hope you find the video useful. I didn't give any examples of posters, since I don't want to impose my style on you, but you can find plenty of examples of good posters on the internet and let them inspire you!
Professor, I have a question not related to this video but maybe you can address it in a later video. What are your views on citing papers from different languages in an English manuscript? Since you work in Germany you would have come across this many times.
For example, if I cite some particular research published in say German/ Chinese/ Japanese, and the data is not available in English, is it justified for a reviewer to criticize or reject my article because "author cites non English articles"?
Interesting question. I think this very much depends. I think that if there is English language literature in support of a point, let's say in the Introduction, then this should be cited unless there is a specific reason to cite some other source. But if broadening literature to non-English papers increases the data for a data synthesis, then this will be seen as a strength. At least this is from the perspective of my field, ecology.
Thanks!
Kindly speak more clearly, thanks.

I understood him perfectly, even though English is not my primary language nor do I speak it well. And besides, there are also English subtitles. :)
