Susan and Derrick are so generous to create a big band when they could have a smaller one, they put more people to work, help them to have careers in music. I can only imagine they have to split up the pie in the smaller pieces but I guess everybody’s making a living :-) and why? Because they are producing beautiful authentic music! I love to see the two drummer attack reminiscent of the Allman Brothers, I love to see three background vocalists, Horns and keyboards :-). Their website says the current lineup is Derek Trucks / Guitar Susan Tedeschi / Guitar & Vocals Tyler Greenwell / Drums & Percussion Isaac Eady / Drums & Percussion Mike Mattison / Harmony Vocals Mark Rivers / Harmony Vocals Alecia Chakour / Harmony Vocals Kebbi Williams / Saxophone Elizabeth Lea / Trombone Ephraim Owens / Trumpet Brandon Boone / Bass Guitar Gabe Dixon / Keyboards & Vocals
the best of the allman brothers band tradition..two drums talking to each other..a nice bass pinpointing the drums and a beautiful guitar crossing all that..just magic..and susan and derrck so inter connected..just magic..thanks for the gift..
My girl and I went.. They were all sooooo good.. Los lobos was amazing too and Gabe Dixon... Just an incredible evening of memorable music and love ❤️✌️😊🎶💯
John Cipollina Quicksilver Messenger Service was the best psychedelic guitarist and 100 times better than the Allman brothers & these guys. I saw the Allmans 10 times and they always played the exact same show, I like them but ? saw them with the Dead RFK stadium 73
I've always thought it was stupid and a waste of resources. Have a percussionist if you want, but two drum kits is redundant if you have a good drummer.
I saw them in Jacksonville the first night of the tour. This one couple would standup through 3/4 of every song. All of us sitting behind them were so pissed. Still an amazing show though.
@@davidshockley2383 Very inconsiderate people abound. I went to hear Elton John last week. There was a guy close to 300lbs who looked like a frantic dancing whale obscuring a lot of peoples' view. Another Bozo in front of him stood for most of the concert looking like he was waiting for a bus. Total PITA
I pray for this band's safety and salvation! In Jesus' name! And boy. That drum solo and united STOP was incredible! Gibson ES-335 sounds right fine! Generally speaking, there is a ton of talent in this band; but the vocal talent is all over the stage!! Would love to see/hear these guys throw in some old Big Band hits!!
Took me a minute to figure this out. These are just the solo and improvisational parts of the songs. I was wondering why they werent singing. Im not complaining! Just more Derek for us. Hes the most innovative, original, guitar player in music today. Those two descriptors qualify him for favorite guitar player in my view.
Derrick is really starting to get Duane Allman's tones on slide. I remember reading an interview with Duane that when he played slide,he was trying to get the sound that some of these blues harp players got when they played through amps( Magic Dick, Sonny boy Williamson, Little Walter etc.). Great work Derrick !
Thanks for posting! Too bad there was an idiot talking incessantly that spoiled the audio. Some people go to "listen" to a band; unfortunately, way too many people go to "see" a band! He 'saw' the great TT Band, but couldn't 'hear' them because he yammered endlessly! Damn!
Grande show, mantendo a tradição de Allman Brothers Band. Meu presente de aniversário, dia 12 de Julho,KKK,Very good. Valeu sua postagem. Ganhou mais um inscrito. Abraços e sucesso com seu canal. Do Sul do Brasil.
Probably someone else could provide a more thorough response but here it goes. Derek is the like the conductor of an orchestra. It's a 12 piece band and the metaphor for an orchestra isn't wrong. He doesn't use monitors or effects but rather playing through his sense of the sound of the band on stage. So in that sense he is also channeling the sounds of the mad into his playing. It's similar to many of the great jazz guitarist such as pat Metheny who is often glued to his rhythm section, or really his drummer. Derek is not a showy player, the opposite in fact. He is the heart of the band (I mean Susan is too but in a different way) and all you get is him channeling the heart of music.
So many talented players on that stage….but if one cannot say something positive, one should say nothing. So I’ll say….. If, at a drunken wedding reception, the band sounded that good, guests would be happy indeed. And Susan, there are women who’d be happy to wear that attire. I am positive this talented ensemble will soon find their way to the 21st century. They have the talent to do so.
Shocking. Still playing the same old formula after all these years w/o any new grooves. Every song is so predictable and boring. I was a mega fan for 15yrs, and the past 10yrs, i wouldnt see him if i was paid
imo This is the best live band on the planet.
Having just attend two nights of TTB at Red Rocks Amphitheater I couldn't agree more!
Not just live!
@@GPTechno I have never heard only a couple studio songs. It's a given.
yes I agree ,I will se them in Stockholm in October- I Love this band and the music...

Please learn to spell his name correctly. It's Derek, not Derrick.
Got the spelling correct in the band lineup but not the description:
That solo in shame 😍possibly one of the greatest guitarists ever
Derek was in the spacious flow this beautiful Evening .
This was in Lewiston, NY

Thank you for capturing this. Always a pleasure to see one of the finest bands in the land.
I was there, thank you for posting this so I can relive it.
My girl and I were also there.. Was absolutely beautiful music and time ✌️❤️😊
I wasn't there, I'm in Thailand, but thanks anyway.
Great! I was at the one next day in Cincinnati! Fantastic…but I haven’t seen any footage of ours…
Me too! Same sentiment!
They were unbelievable! Blew the roof off the place
Will thet have to pay for the roof to be put back? Seems like they should just leave it open like that...

Can you feel it?
Answer: Yes!!!
Great music, venue and beautiful night! So glad I was there. My heart ❤️ is full!
Asked to Duane Allman ..."Why do you have two drummers?" His reply ..."Because B.B. King had two drummers!" Love it. Keep on "Trucking"
I've always thought it was stupid and a waste of resources. Have a percussionist if you want, but two drum kits is redundant if you have a good drummer.
Said Duane..I'm the famous one, Dickey is the good one"
Duane a ❤ of gold.
People talking thru the solo of Midnight in Harlem, absolute nufties
😆 yeah, some guy is explaining "slide guitar" 😆
?Nufti = Cretin? Too bad nobody choked that turkey.
Noobs

Yeah, and that SG sounded even better. 🤭
NO BETTER BAND RIGHT NOW. Love them.... (From Spain)
That right there is hard work and talent. Amazing.
hell of an into - excited to see them this weekend!
Just when you think it can't get better it gets better. What a wonderful ensemble. Derek channels the ABs with his own masterful touch. Sublime.
Awesome 30 mins !! Thanks for sharing !!
Love it

Going to see them in Washington on my 69th BD!
Two drums are better than... one drums! lol...Stellar Talent!! Thanks for uploading!
My question is,,,,
Why do people spend as much money as they do on a ticket and then talk the entire time?
Mark Rivers !!!!!! Wowee!!

Tasty!
Derek must be using some sort of overdrive pedal? Or is that just the amp? Wow he means every note!
Thanks for sharing. Are you recording ? It's not off the board
WHEN IN SPAIN ????
Is that a Duane’s guitar?
Are the drumsets identical?
I don't understand all the yakking. I just cannot comprehend not focusing on the music.
This may be a stupid question, but why is Derek always facing sideways on the stage? Is it to hear the band dynamics more clearly?

I like to think he is looking at his wife.
