This is the greatest show i have ever been to and i wasn’t even there.
You were there in spirit 😉
Third comment and still under-rated.
I have the same feeling as you but my time has almost come. I'm gonna get Wong'd in about 3 weeks when he bring the funk train into my town! I'm sooooo freaking ready for this!
I was there. It was amazing.
Yeah it's pretty great
Can't believe this guy named himself after a Vulfpeck song
What do u mean?
@Réda RaihaniWhooooshhh!!!!!
Réda Raihani are you-
Réda Raihani WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH
@Réda Raihani idk if this is just a really good troll to troll the troll or if you're actually being serious... well played.
Hardest working guitarist in the pizza biz
binging Cory Wong content on CZcams.... even listening 8 hours a day I'm not sure I can complete the catalogs.
dude is PROLIFIC
No kidding. I only found him about a month ago. He's been part of my daily routine ever since. I don't think I'm 10% through his content. I hope I never finish. Even though many are different versions of the same songs, they're each a little different. He is also my "go to" Pandora channel.
I lost my leg a year ago and haven't been able to stand up and dance on one leg until I discovered the millennial ambassador of smooth Jazz, Cory Wong
no joke i watch this concert at least once a week
I saved 15% on my cell phone bills by switching to Spotify for the audio of this show.
7:13 Cory falling down and trying to play Sweet Child o' Mine is exactly me when I try to learn Vulfpeck songs on guitar
That trust fall doe.
that was so unbelievably funny :D:D:D:D
Also Back in black :-)
I bought 4 tickets to this show way back thinking I would be in town and ended up being busy, gave the tix to my mom she brought her friends(all 50s and 60s) they said it was the funnest they'd all had in yrs lol.
Also.. pretty awesome y'all resurrected the fine line for this Cory I love it!!
i bought a ticket way back as well and had completely forgotten about it :(( bummed
If loving this is Wong, I don’t wanna be right

Thank you!
Thanks guys, that would be sweet if they released a live album. But for now.. www.dropbox.com/sh/8ay7lfa06bfmyti/AAAMu_YXYLC3nJDdbsjaxJNKa?dl=0
Oh my god yes please more concert videos
New genre: Comedy Funk
Petar Janjic is a fookin legend. 'Nuff said.
Absolute animal I come back religiously just to listen to the solo
Props to the camera dude, very consistent and good shots throughout the whole performance
Best live mix I have heard in a while. Great sound. Kudos to audio dudes, dudettes.
I used to think Vulfpeck with Cory was currently the best band on the planet and then I saw this. I still love me some Vulfpeck but I have to say, I'm digging this band even more right now. This band is fire and Cory is lighter fluid fanning the flames. This is the most amazing lo-fi 4th position funk I've ever heard.
Can feel that gustafsone, this IS ON FIRE!
Yeah, Vulfpeck has such a solid pocket and I love them. But this shit has so much energy and is just dirt nasty. Hopefully I get a chance to see them once things open back up, because this seems like a killer show.
Blasphemy
But respect all the same
How is it lo-fi?
Jamming "Killing in the Name" and calling it American Folk music. Top stuff Cory... Absolute tops.
Cory Wong: The Millennial Embassador to Smooth Jazz
That might be the greatest show opening ever recorded live on film.
I'm just a few minutes in and this already deserves an Emmy/Oscar/Webby/Dundie.
Definitely an Espy as well. Those track suits..
And the Dundie for hottest in the office goes too..... Cory Wong!
He already has a smoothie
8 hours in, can confirm
What a great video. Putting the camera-op on stage like a band-member gives it such a fun to watch.
Petar from Belgrade, Serbia! Hugs from Sofia, Bulgaria, bro!
Came in for a slice, ate the whole pie.
One of the best pies ever!
Came in for a piece, ate the whole pizza.
SPOILER ALERT : 4:31 - 7:00 He tells the band how many hits to play through the story adressed to the public ("4 weeks", "6 hundred", "12 people", and so on). Seems obvious when you know it, but it blew my mind when I realized it. Thank you Cory Wong for being yourself!
And on "1 star" he yelled to the band G flat. 😁
I don’t know how many times I listened to this before I figured that out and thought myself quite clever for figuring it out before years had passed. 😜
@@EmilSaks It's pretty cool because if you think, "We got one star on YELP, gee..flat. Because there was no atmosphere.
This is such a satisfying and creative way to start a gig. I love it!
I had several friends who missed the Bloomington show, and I can now give them something to approximate the religious experience I had. Thanks, Cory.
27:15 - That "Late Night" intro followed by the guitar solo is amazing - you can immediately imagine Cory walking onto a stage in a suit ready to do a monologue and introduce tonight's guests...
found a gem!!!!! as a drummer i am in love with this band!!!
I'm so so glad I got to see this show, absolutely unbelievable. Now I can relive it over and over!
Some CZcams videos are funny to watch, and rarely, they are fun to watch. This video was the most fun I've ever had on CZcams.
This show killed me and brought me back to life
hi noa
Vulfpeck don't use him enough. Hilarious opening moments.
@Bryan Clarke Absolutely right!
Well, your comment is 2 years old at this point so maybe you were right but what stuck out to me was that Cory is so busy with all his various projects that unless there's more than one of him, the Vulf is not always gonna be able to get him.
lol. dude quotes cory henry at the beginning of the set, then plays the lick at the end. my life is complete. ty Kevin Gastonguay
Funk is not dead!Long live Cory Wong and Petar Janjić!Gledam celu svirku četvrti put i pitam se koji mi đavo?Totalno ste me razvalili momci posle svega što sam čuo u životu1Dolazite u Beograd već jednom!
The keys solo on Cameron melts my face every time!
This cat is hillarious. Love the show. It's like a funk standup routine. The most watchable video on youtube ever. I've watched it twice now to the end. Jeez!
This cat DID NOT phone it in :)
1 person has zero taste. This is beyond funky. Amazing players on top of their game having the best time. What's not to love. Awesome!
Bruh, I brush my teeth to this set everyday. Cavity free since 2019! Thanks Cory!!!
My mom and I loved this Minneapolis show from start to finish. We always listen to and appreciate you on Jazz 88.5 FM, Twin Cities Jazz radio station. On Thursdays from 9pm-11pm, they always feature you on the Funktion. 😊 We're still in awe from this concert! Pure funk and talent. Thanks Cory!
One of the best live sessions I've heard! Love Cory and his Music, Love the Band, Love the positive vibes!
Oooooooo thank you so much. This show was so goooooodddd
One thing i love the most in this band, is they give a spot for everyone. It shows how strong their bond is. That's why they can express truly the joy and happiness thru music.
will never get over how amazing this sound and video quality is
This is the whole show?? Aw yeah boi!! Love it!
I thoroughly enjoyed this whole show. Thank you
I've never heard a trombone solo before and now in will listen to one each day! Epic!

This the best strat funk-fusion I've ever heard . God damn
Incredible show man!!!!
I was wondering about a video game with music composed by Cory, probably a total joy to play, maybe one day!
I don't even play video games but yeah, that would be cool!
Just kiddin' the dude is doing a fantastic job. As is the whole band. Fantastic performance all the way through!
Thank you guys!!!Master Cory,master Petar...
Tighter than a gnats Khyber in a sandstorm. Such lovely compression on that guitar. Cory was amazing here. What a show. Seeing this guy in Leeds. So stoked.
..as a non-Brit, I've amazed myself by understanding what you mean by a Khyber.
Cory and Kevin make me proud to be Minnesotan. Kevin is such a beast, go check him out and make him famous too. His bands Nooky Jones and New Sound Underground are sinfully underground and unknown.
That solo starting around at 1:08:10!!!!
@@jonbisset83 Sounds like he's got an octave below effect. Am I hearing that right?
You can't watch this and not feel happy. Perfect medicine for our strange and troubling times. Thanks, Cory!
Ultra high end top quality funk video
We should be able to like every one of these songs! Thank you Cory and the Wongnotes!!!
someone in the audience has a very nice and infectious laugh. it elevated my listening experience
THANK YOU! Loved every second of it. Funky Quirky factor off the charts! Oh, and your merch story/video... brilliant!
Cory’s band is so awesome they deserve their own name, like “Cory Wong and the Explosions”, or something 😉
The Cory Wong Way
or "cory wong goes correct"
This show is my dream come true as a musician
so glad that this kind of jazz funk is still around and being played by younger musicians , the playing is excellent
this is exactly what I needed today !!!
Hands down one of the best live performances I've ever watched... Got me hooked dude...
outstanding! i love and appreciate you very much guys. that is oustanding
Congratulations Cory, this is just amazing! Iv'e watched this concert about 4 or 5 times and you guys are blowing me away! Purest dope!!!!!
Bleh, I hate that I missed seeing him in Columbus, but I'm oh, so thankful for this video!!! Cory is genius. I look forward to seeing him in May with Vulfpeck 😊😊😊
Just watched this again. Awesome! Brilliant musicianship and Cory never takes himself too seriously!
Great performance, and props to your sound engineer! Quality is superb for live recording.
Man, this is just awesome! Love it
I also love how the crowd gives an extra cheer when they focus in on Jeff Goldblum durring the Jurrasic Park/Clouds Outro. Jeff is the man!
Jeff is awesome actor and musician! My all time fav!
The solo at the end of ‘91 Maxima gets me everytime. Goosebumps all over!
Soooooo damn good....Thanks for posting, you made my day.
you can clearly see how much work and passion there's in this... astounding
Bravo, Petre, majstore! 25-ica puca!
Great show guys! Luv ya all!
We just loves your grooves, come back to New York soon!!!!
Cheers Cory and Band, frankly, I'm sold......good job! :)
That was so fun to listen to. Amazingggg
Please point me to a better rhythm guitar solo in the last decade than the 145 seconds of greatness starting 50:28 in "Frogville" (the live album also names it "Airplane Mode"). 🎸♥️👂So so so good! The song starts at 48:04 and the "Let's show them we went to music school" 😆 precedes the solo.
That’s my favorite part. Glad someone else appreciates it.
If it's a solo, is it still rhythm guitar?
@@bcmanucd 🙂 nobody else was playing? The other guitar to rhythm guitar is lead guitar.
its one of his songs called airplane mode
Can’t wait to see you this week in Atlanta!
Great show. Excellent drumming and very inspiring groove and fills !
Best video concert I've watched since John Mayer Live in LA! You're truly a gem Cory. Much love from Portland, Oregon.
I’m am floored at how good this band is. Sounds like a funked out version of Chick Corea. Can’t wait to see you guys, Cory!
Btw, please come to Virginia!
i was happy to hear Jax live with the Horn Heads. sick
So fresh! My ears can't believed, and I loved...
I do love this, but it almost a carbon copy of Prince. (Perhaps intentionally, being in Minneapolis.)
So glad to see this posted! I saw the show in Madison with my 10 year old son, we absolutely loved it! So much fun! Now we can "see" it again!
Idly browsing youtube, coming across a Cory Wong vid and finding myself absolutely mesmerized for 2h 10m
Wow, almost as long as a Rush Concert. So much content!
Loved the product monologue and the Louis Cole mention made me smile. Fantastic show and such a joy to soak up.
Cory is genuinely brilliant. He's just so good and his music puts the biggest smile on my face.
This band knocks me back... energy from this group is overwhelming...what great talent
I could easily find myself listening only to your music man...
Cory, yours is really a wonderful music and group!! Great show!!
Hornheads are fantastic! @CoryWong this and your Metropole show are a breath of fresh air.
loved every inch of that cory, your band and you're self smashed it from beginning to end, what a band, love you and everyone in Volf and everything xxxxx rob
I appreciate the sentiment of your comment, but..... *your
Cory....Great Show! Great Band! Kevin...that Sadowsky bass sounds amazing. Thanks!
Love what you’re doing Cory, Minnesota is proud of you. Congrats on getting Bill Murray to play sax for you!
Man this is great stuff. And, funnily enough, I listened to the whole live album and and said to myself, "Wow, this really reminds me of the last Ben Rector concert I went to." Love your sound!
Amazing CALL OUT TO MINDFULNESS MEDITATION
One of the perfectest bass tone !
I'm addicted to listening to Cory Wong live
