Brooklyn had alot of secrets, many kept from her friends. Going under cover is a good theory,, and there is still alot we don't really know, even for me, but i cannot spoil anything for you yet until you post the finale. I will say this, it's wonderful to see our beloved gang back again. Even though it's only 5 of them and Brooklyn in flash backs. Oh and Poor Bumpy getting captured. Can't forget about her.
I think so far, this episode made me think Kenji has the best acting in the show just because of that emotional scene when he was having a panic attack after he witnessed his dad get killed. It’s not just like hearing bad news and crying. He probably traumatized for witnessing the raptors brutally kill him
The guy in the glasses, i keep forgetting to remember his name, who was at the location of the event. She came in clutch to save our boys Kenji and Darious, and did the right thing to come clean and explain to them what he witnessed. Also giving them Brooklyn's phone was very important, and he felt bad for not doing anything to help Brooklyn.
I love how it shows how Kenji processed his grief over his father's death. It's really emotional and heartrenching and honestly, the best death in the entire franchise because we FEEL how Kenji handles it On another note, I'm surprised by how Darius and especially Kenji don't blame Matteo for what happened to Brooklyn. They understood that Matteo was used as a pawn who did not know the truth, and the immense guilt he feels. At the very least, I had expected Kenji to fly out and blame Matteo for everything
Yes, that's probably the most visceral reaction to a death we've seen in the franchise. I'm also surprised Kenji didn't get angry at Mateo after learning everything. Maybe they could tell how horrified and guilty he felt. They've also met another person who was being used for immoral/illegal business and didn't know it: May Turner. Kenji himself was manipulated by his father to do things he regrets, so maybe these experiences helped him be more understanding of Mateo?

Your theory about the Italian origin of Ben's girlfriend was confirmed in the novelization of the series, but it seems to me that you are the first person to make this hypothesis (without knowledge of the novel). And although it is not confirmed that she has a role in the dinosaur trade, we do know that a certain rival company of INGEN has a dinosaur reserve in Italy.
Woots! Score one! When Ben said she was from Europe, but didn't mention a single country, it seemed like the writers did that on purpose, perhaps to keep her role in the series a surprise. I've been wondering where exactly she is ever since. But oh crap, maybe she works for INGEN!

Poor Matteo. The poor guy was used as a pawn and he clearly shows a lot of remorse from that night.
The look of horror when that payment went through and he realized the attack was planned. This poor man will be haunted by that for a long time.
