    I use a spool to roll the up and then I use a hairclip to hold it up! Works perfect ☺️

    You can also tie a length of bungee cord around the canvas which pulls it in when you close it :)

    I’m loving your videos, I think you explain everything so well for the complete novice that I am with absolutely no idea! If the pop top gets wet do you allow it to dry or can you dry it manually, don’t suppose it should be folded whilst wet, hope this isn’t a stupid question, I’d love to see a video on your electrics/ batteries, I have absolutely no idea how all this works and keep reading so much on the FB groups but I like to see it in real life, makes it easier to understand. Thanks xx

      Deborah Light Thankyou for your comment . So glad you find it helpful .
      I try to put the pop top down when dry and it dries quickly as the material is similar to a tent .
      I guess you could use a towel if you had to leave in a rush and knew you wouldn’t have time to “pop “ it later on .
      I haven’t done this build myself but will think about how to explain how the electrics work . If I did do a build myself I would probably pay someone to do it or at least to check it once if done !!
      Take care !

    Hi how are you? Would u have a picture of bec in pop up top?

  • @allanb52
    @allanb52 Před rokem +1

    There is a problem with these pop tops, when they are down a little head height is lost, on my Vivaro I have only an 1"" above my head when seated, so you have to have the top up. The reason I chose not to have one. The swivel seat is great and we have one

    • @davedixon6372
      @davedixon6372 Před 11 měsíci

      This all depends on the type of pop top you choose

    • @allanb52
      @allanb52 Před 11 měsíci +1

      @@davedixon6372 If they don't they must raise the overall height of the vehicle to over 2 metres in which case you may as well have a high top and get all that extra space. I have been toying with the idea, but having lived without one for 8 years, do I need one now? My headlining wasn't done particularly well in the first place, so there is a case for undoing that bit...mmm. My first van was a T3 and I put a Sheldon high top on that and it lost it's cosyness in the cold. weather.

    Thanks for making this video. I had a hard time finding a video showing how to close them back up. That's my concern. What if it's windy? It seems like they might be hard to close down if the weather is bad.

    • @vanlifegoodies
      @vanlifegoodies  Před 2 lety +1

      Glad it helped - well I’ve since discovered that if you leave the side door open , or one of the front doors open , this creates a suction of air that helps considerably.
      They are ok in wind to get up and down , it’s just that the wind catches the height and rocks the van , but we have used it in all weather .
      Hope that helps and thanks for watching x

      @@vanlifegoodies that is maybe the waight you can carry on top of the roof.
      But the bed is rated as a bed for 2 persons. The limit can not be 60kg. 🤣
