I'd like to thank The Academy ; ) (couldn't resist ) for sharing these home movies with us .
I thank the academy for sharing this treasure trove with us. With a family that always revisits its old photographs, the fact that home movies evoke the same feeling of nostalgia and mortal joy was so, so special for me. Also, I received the bounty of watching figures like IDA LUPINO, ROSALIND RUSSELL, GYPSY ROSE LEE and GREGORY NAVA, iconic figures who I've heard and read much about over the years. This was a treat indeed.
I worked on the Henry Koster collection as an AMPAS intern!
This panel is always my favorite to watch at TCM Film Fest every year, thank you for doing these online!
Thanks Randy and Lynne for this great program. And thanks Bob, to your father Henry Koster, who directed "Flower Drum Song," the breakthrough Hollywood musical that featured an (almost) all-Asian American cast in 1961.

Marlene was a monster. Read the daughter's biography. She basically had a kesbian move into the house and locked a Maria ( her daugter) with this kesbisn to rape her! She did not want her daughter running off with a man. She feared she would lose her. Diedrich was a demon.

I hope we get information about Hollywood and the Civil Rights Movements. A documentary series or movie. Hope that wins an Oscar. The Oscar it could win doesn’t have to be Best Documentary Feature
