- Was a calm rainy Kaneohe day when Sheila and I take her Auntie Suzie on her first ever deep sea fishing trip. We boat an ono on the way out. Running back in from the ominous thick front coming from Maui, we find a small aku school. Before we can get in, the center slams down and the corner bends over!..."Girl Power on!!!"

Jacob Jorgenson this past season cause of covid we were getting up to $9.00/lb! Normal season’s prices at the local fish auction is about $3/lb. I’ve been cutting and selling quarters for $5:lb

Jacob Jorgenson covid shut down the commercial tuna industry thru no tourism so local fishermen were supplying the large demand hence limited supply drive prices up. Takes commercial fleets apprx 3 weeks to land Tinna here at our Honolulu fish auction, primarily travel time.
