How does the patient benefit economically under Delta Dental Plan ? Does he have to pay any less amount for a treatment under Delta Dental plan compared to what he would pay to a dentist outside Delta dental plan ?
Yes patient would benefit economically as Delta dental plan is a non profit third party system per se. And also this follows the UCR system, so dentist usual fee is not much influencing the actual fee for the services.

Delta Dental plan too follows the reimbursement mechanism , isn't it ?
The patient won't pay to the dentist , rather he/she will pay to the Delta dental plan authorities who would reimburse the dentist ? Please correct me if I am wrong
@@talhashahid2516 Exactly. Whenever there is a third party(DELTA PLAN/HMO/BLUSHIELD/BLUECROSS/PRIVATE INSURANCE/POST PAYMENT) patient pays to the third party and dentist recieves the reimbursement from the third party.

Capitation .- is it the amount paid per patient per month for all services recieved in dental clinic.???
Capitation plan is a different concept.The payment is based on the 'number of patients'.And each patient is entitled ti receive a set of treatments. It is beneficial for the locality where the dentists are oversupplied.

@@bloomingheart6769 it will be for fixed period (usually a year) for all the services. Few services will not be there in most of the plans(cosmetic services).
