Impecable live version for a fourteen years old song. The lyrics about how much hate (or depression) felt Walter's mother before she abandoned him, are something sad and overwhelming. Maybe not the best Silent Hill but definitively the last good one before all the shit happens (not counting "Origins" and "Shattered Memories").

I really like the harp but overall I feel that this version of the song is a little overproduced. Too many instruments, too complex. Not at all bad, I just prefer the stark "desolate" feel of the original release. The song's an amazing piece of work no matter what, Yamaoka is a musical genius and McGlynn's voice is mesmerizing.

I'm not an industry professional, but that is the nature of a live performance where the multiple audio streams are mixed on the fly in one take. That and this is being recorded on someone's handy cam with a mic only as good as a consumer level cam will include.
CMDR Boom Yeah, you're right. I just found a two hour live performance of the same songs they did in Russia, which was filmed by professional videographers. It sounds a looks a lot better.
I think it's an almost perfect rendition, and this is on a shit camera, can you imagine this beautiful voice and orchestra in person there. Come on now, have a bit of appreciation for how difficult live performances are

I would've definitely preferred a different orchestral arrangement. I'm a musician, so I can imagine how the score could've improved in some places.
