Since this is your first Nightwish reaction, it is my duty to give you the [updated] short history of the band concentrated by Ann Waychoff, one of the biggest Nightwish fan who has since passed away (and I am doing this in her memory): " Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a Symphonic Metal band, with a female main singer. They are from Finland. Tuomas Holopainen, the keyboard player, composes and writes the lyrics for 95% of their music. [The 1st Bassist of the band was Sami Vanska, he was with them until 2001. The 2nd one was Marco Hietala, as Bassist and vocals, since 2001 to 2020. He recently announced his retirement both from the band and the public life for the next year at least - we'll see what the future brings to us. Then very recently (May 2021) Jukka Koskinen became the 3nd Bassist of the band, for at least the Human :II: Nature tour] And there is the guitarist Emppu Vuorinen . Then there is Troy Donockley from UK who is a multi-instrumentalist and vocals. Jukka Nevalainen is the drummer. In 2015 due to Jukka's health issues Kai Hahto became the drummer and as of now is a permanent addition. Nightwish has had three singers. 1st one was Tarja Turunen (Operatic vocals). She was with them until 2005. The 2nd one was Anette Olzon from Sweden (Poppy, strong vocals). She was with them until 2012.The 3rd and current singer is Floor Jansen, from Netherlands (power, operatic, soprano.....most versatile) - you just heard her. Odhinn is destined to not be able to avoid Ragnarok. If he were perfect and all powerful, would that be so? Very good way to describe Emppu the guitarist, as a "storyteller" as he is a master at playing what the song requires. Like opera, Nightwish is about the story and the lyrics are as deep as the music. Emppu can shred with the best of them, but he always keeps it within the context of the song. Others have left you links to her rendition of the Phantom. She has also been on a solo tour and performing the Phantom with Henk Poort in her shows, so there are a number of versions out there. Yep, I saw your wife have her first Floorgasm when our Valkyrie goddess hit “the note” at the end of the song. 🤘🏼😃 Never gets old watching folks experience NightWish for the first time. They have so so so many great songs. This song is only a little bit of what they can do. If you follow General Gabriel’s suggestions (don’t need to do in any certain order, but his list has the best video links) If you want something heavier, check out “Romanticide” from this same concert. Something more mainstream rock? Also, if you want heavier, with a guitar solo, and another style from Floor, try Romanticide from this same show All live. Live is better than studio for Nightwish. He wasn't talking about auto tune. he was referring to the mix. Which would balance the sounds between the instruments and vocals, so that the vocals could be heard with a crisper quality.

You have only just seen a little bit of what they can do though. Every song they do willl take you on a journey, with unexpected twists and turns. Never a boring moment. The lyrics are worth studying, very poetic and sometimes hard to decipher, but so beautiful and often very meaningful. You were absolutely right, stating that Emppu strikes you as a storyteller guitarist. He totally is! He can really make his guitar sing. Funny you mentioned 'Phantom Of The Opera'. Nightwish has recorded a cover of this song with their first lead singer, Tarja Turunen. Floor Jansen has also covered it, together with Henk Poort, a trained baritone who played the phantom in the Dutch version of the musical for many years. OMG how spot on you two are!! Storytelling IS the whole thing with Nightwish. It's what they do. And you're on point with the necessity of hearing the lyrics. It's the performance that hits you. For an amazing song done by Arjen Anthony Lucassen under his Ayreon project this song has 11 main metal/prog rock/symphonic metal singers. Arjen makes metal operas into albums, he has created a scifi universe that spans at least 6 albums, and also has the Star One projects (3 Albums based on themes). one of his concept albums has a man in a coma and the singers represent each emotion and a couple supporting people.The album (The Human Equation) is his 20 days in a coma (20 songs) and the characters include James LaBrie as (Me), his wife Marcela Bovio, best friend is played by Arjen Anthony Lucassen, and his father by Mike Baker. The emotions are Fear: Michael Akerfeldt, Reason: Eric Clayton, Love: Heather Findlay, Passion: Irene Jansen, Pride: Magnus Ekwall, Agony: Devon Graves, and Rage: Devon Townsend. Back to his 2017 album called The Source he made a video that he narrates with the 1st song on the album. He shares tidbits on the musicians, the singers, the instruments he plays, and some of the story on the album. For the whole story CZcams has an album version that allows you to see which singers of the 11 are singing on each song their picture lights up and the story aka lyrics are shown. In Arjen's narration video he just gives a short premises of the story but you can see the singers as they appear on the song, it either shows a picture or shows them singing from video clips they sent to Arjen. I love this band, and I am an old school rocker. Yes this entire band is ultra-talented and their lead singer has the greatest, most powerful, beautiful, most versatile singer I have ever heard. Up to 30 tracks yet to go, some even better than this, some very different, all very high level, with some surprises you would never have guessed, some very heavy, some shorter than 6 minutes, some even longer than 20 minutes, The storyteller guitarist can shred like no one, there is also another sing singer that can really sing, and there is a multi folk instrumentalist that joined the lot, and I can go on and on. What they did and presented between 2010 and 2020 was absurd and still is. The era with the first and original vocalist has some stunning highlights too, as a bonus. There is much more to say, but I think this is enough to go on with the biggest ride there is. The funniest thing is that for many years a great part of the music industrie and even loads of metal fans did not know about this band at all.
I can understand them being widely unknown. not because they aren't phenomenal,(they are) but because across all genres of music, the best seem to be underground, or they just don't have the right marketing to give them enough exposure.

This band is at the very top of modern music. They are exceptionally perfect. Unbelievable this is live. Check out every song of them. They don't do lesser songs. Don't listen to them for an hour. It will give you a heart attack because it is one big crescendo of excellence.... There never was a band like this. And there probably never will be another band at this level. And the cooperation with Floor.... 1+1=3. That about says it all. Floor is a unique force of nature. Floor can sing in lower registers, and I love it. Beste Zangers 2019 for Floor and Henke Poort singing Phantom. Floor sounds great with the bass player Marko. Most of us prefer NW live to studio. Oh and by the way - you ain't seen nothing yet, as BTO would say. I reckon this is about 15 to 20% of what the band can do and Floor can sing. welcome to the fantastic symphonic metal universe of Nightwish Band, their live performances are some of the things that come so close to epic that they get to be mythical and of course Floor Jansen, queen of the stage and goddess of music, she can sing anything in any musical style she wants (WARNING! her voice, her stage presence, her charisma, in one word: her "spell" is highly addictive). this concert (wacken 2013) is incredibly epic and deserves to be watched and reacted entirely, song by song, in particular I suggest these three songs: "song of myself", "storytime" and "ever dream" this performance of "ghost love score" is one of the three best performances of the nightwish band, together with "the poet and the pendulum" from 2015 concert at the london wembley arena and "the greatest show on earth" from 2015 concert in tampere - finland (actually there is a fourth best performance: "dead boy's poem" from the 2018 concert in buenos aires).

Floor is a classically trained soprano and has a vocal range of more than 3 octaves (D3 to F6+). Floor is the third female vocalist that Nightwish have had (and my personal favourite), she was only with them on tour for 10 months at this point and officially joined the band in 2013, she is still with them today. The other vocalists are - Tarja Turunen - (1996-2005) - (Finland) - Very operatic focused vocals. Anette Olzon - (2007-2012) - (Sweden) - More pop-centric vocals. Floor Jansen - (2012-Present) - (Netherlands) - Extremely diverse vocals, from deep growls to full on opera. The other band members are/were - Tuomas Holopainen - Song writer/composer and Keyboards. (Finland) Marko Hietala - Bassist and vocals. (Finland) Emppu Vuorinen - Guitarist (Finland) Jukka Nevalainen - Drums (Finland) Retired in 2014 due to health issues Troy Donockley - Multi-instrumentalist and Vocals. She has her own channel here on CZcams where she regularly posts covers of songs. The band was formed in 1996 by lead songwriter/composer and keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen. The name of the genre they generally belong to is Symphonic Metal but their discography is EXTREMELY varied. The "Symphonic" backing tracks of their music is composed in the majority by Tuomas and performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra. This was the 13th song in this particular set, Floor is belting notes like that the entire set. Nighwish are almost always better experienced with LIVE versions of their songs if at all possible. Most new reactors are better off sticking with the Wacken 2013 set to begin with as it offers a taste of a lot of what Nightwish has to offer, they have multiple concerts though all of which are superb. Some suggestions for more songs for you to continue your journey would be Romanticide, Storytime, Ever Dream, Ghost River, I Wish I had an Angel, Song of Myself, Dark Chest of Wonders, I Want My Tears Back and Amaranth all from Wacken 2013 (pronounced Vacken). Saying that, anything from Wacken 2013 is golden really to start, there's a reason why that set is pretty legendary at this point, 82,000 people were in attendance. Beware of some messed up slowed down versions of the Wacken 2013 songs as they can take the energy right out of the performances, just check the comments on them and I'm sure someone will mention if it's a slowed down version. Your choice obviously but I'd avoid Poet and the Pendulum and The Greatest Show on Earth for now until you are more familiar with the band and it's history, they will make a lot more sense and be more enjoyable for you that way. Prepare for the Nightwish army to arrive and enjoy your Nightwish journey, I know I did!😎🤘

Yes, on occasion the sync is off. we are looking into that. usually, Dirk does go back a bit...I think he just got caught up. as far as pausing... we pause when we have something we want to say. You will find that Nightwish lyrics (written by Tuomas (keys), are very poetic in style and filled with metaphors and imagery. Floor Jansen, The Dutch Valkyrie Queen of symphonic metal does have operatic and musical theater training. Floor does perform "Phantom of the Opera. Nightwish actually has a rendition of The Phantom. You can check it out live from their "End of an Era" dvd. It is done with their 1st vocalist Tarja. She is basically an almost all operatic vocalist. It is very pleasant to watch one of the millions reactions to GLS in which the reactors are able to understand and absorb all the information that the music brings. This requires a pretty huge music background, in my opinion! And congratulations on defining Emppu as a storyteller guitarist. He's really amazing. He plays exactly what the song asks for. No showing off his technical skills all the time (and he really has a lot). He plays with a lot of feeling and above all, he's an amazing guy, humble, always smiling, and you'll notice that he's always grateful to the audience. As for Tuomas, the keyboardist, Nightwish is a window into his soul. So imagine how incredible this person is, this genius. In my opinion he is the best songwriter of our time. Great reaction. Floor Jansen is a vocal athlete with incredible range, versatility, vocal stamina, and stage presence. She is a spinto soprano with a range of around four octaves +. When listening to Floor sing, it is apparent that she has spent the better part of her life fine-tuning her instrument with help from several vocal coaches. Floor can sing in multiple languages and genres, and is a Master vocal coach. She often refers to herself as a vocal nerd. It is incredible how she is able to take any song from any genre and make it her own. This woman is a true gift to her craft and an incredible addition to a band that has always been great until 2013 when they officially hired the undisputed Queen of Metal, Floor Jansen, making Nightwish the greatest band on the planet. Dirk, you're one of the few reactors who noticed that the guitarist, Emppu (Empoo) Vuorinen, tells a story with his guitar. And Marko Hietala, the bassist, isn't often looking at his guitar whilst playing! There are no ego's in this band. They are a very humble group of people. They play what the song needs and that is why they can tell beautiful stories. And there are a LOT of them to discover! One friendly tip: Always listen to the very end of the songs...some of them have surprises at the end haha. The main reason this version is requested is it's 82,000 people most of whom had not heard the newest singer, Floor Jansen, with the band as only joined ten months before mid tour and every song (15) she sings at this concert was written for one of the two previous singers. And for so many they believe she has taken Nightwish to a higher plain. Welcome to the world of symphonic metal! And thank you for checking this legendary band! This song is from Wacken Open Air (Germany) in 2013, together with Floor Jansen, the 3rd and present female singer of the band, in front of an 82K audience.
About the instrumental and vocal added parts - it's good to know they recorded their orchestral and vocal back tracks with prestigious institutions as London Philharmonic Orchestra. London's The Metro Voices choir group and London's Young Musicians Children's Choir as their regular partners.
Since this is your first Nightwish reaction, it is my duty to give you the [updated] short history of the band concentrated by Ann Waychoff, one of the biggest Nightwish fan who has since passed away (and I am doing this in her memory):
" Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a Symphonic Metal band, with a female main singer. They are from Finland.
Tuomas Holopainen, the keyboard player, composes and writes the lyrics for 95% of their music. [The 1st Bassist of the band was Sami Vanska, he was with them until 2001. The 2nd one was Marco Hietala, as Bassist and vocals, since 2001 to 2020. He recently announced his retirement both from the band and the public life for the next year at least - we'll see what the future brings to us. Then very recently (May 2021) Jukka Koskinen became the 3nd Bassist of the band, for at least the Human :II: Nature tour] And there is the guitarist Emppu Vuorinen . Then there is Troy Donockley from UK who is a multi-instrumentalist and vocals. Jukka Nevalainen is the drummer. In 2015 due to Jukka's health issues Kai Hahto became the drummer and as of now is a permanent addition.
Nightwish has had three singers. 1st one was Tarja Turunen (Operatic vocals). She was with them until 2005. The 2nd one was Anette Olzon from Sweden (Poppy, strong vocals). She was with them until 2012.The 3rd and current singer is Floor Jansen, from Netherlands (power, operatic, soprano.....most versatile) - you just heard her.

Following the success of Beste Zangers show, Floor performed a series of solo concerts in the Netherlands in early 2020 with songs from her entire career (After Forever, Revamp, Northward, Nightwish, Beste Zangers) following that the last and the largest concert, at AFAS Amsterdam, to be professionally recorded and broadcast online, with the support of a crowdfunding campaign. Very good way to describe Emppu the guitarist, as a "storyteller" as he is a master at playing what the song requires. Like opera, Nightwish is about the story and the lyrics are as deep as the music. Emppu can shred with the best of them, but he always keeps it within the context of the song.
Others have left you links to her rendition of the Phantom. She has also been on a solo tour and performing the Phantom with Henk Poort in her shows, so there are a number of versions out there. She performed a show with the Phantom, just this past weekend.

Hi Dirk and Crystal, thank you for reacting to my recommendation (by the way, Martine is a female name 😉). I'm happy to see that you loved it. You have only just seen a little bit of what they can do though. Every song they do willl take you on a journey, with unexpected twists and turns. Never a boring moment. The lyrics are worth studying, very poetic and sometimes hard to decipher, but so beautiful and often very meaningful.
You were absolutely right, stating that Emppu strikes you as a storyteller guitarist. He totally is! He can really make his guitar sing.
Funny you mentioned 'Phantom Of The Opera'. Nightwish has recorded a cover of this song with their first lead singer, Tarja Turunen. Floor Jansen has also covered it, together with Henk Poort, a trained baritone who played the phantom in the Dutch version of the musical for many years.

Storytelling IS the whole thing with Nightwish. It's what they do. And you're on point with the necessity of hearing the lyrics. It's the performance that hits you. (read lyrics before or after)
Also, as you said, the guitarist are not there to shred. He is a part of the storytelling, as is everyone else in the band. No one has the need to take the centerspot if it isn't for the story.

Arjen makes metal operas into albums, he has created a scifi universe that spans at least 6 albums, and also has the Star One projects (3 Albums based on themes). one of his concept albums has a man in a coma and the singers represent each emotion and a couple supporting people.The album (The Human Equation) is his 20 days in a coma (20 songs) and the characters include James LaBrie as (Me), his wife Marcela Bovio, best friend is played by Arjen Anthony Lucassen, and his father by Mike Baker. The emotions are Fear: Michael Akerfeldt, Reason: Eric Clayton, Love: Heather Findlay, Passion: Irene Jansen, Pride: Magnus Ekwall, Agony: Devon Graves, and Rage: Devon Townsend. Back to his 2017 album called The Source he made a video that he narrates with the 1st song on the album. He shares tidbits on the musicians, the singers, the instruments he plays, and some of the story on the album. For the whole story CZcams has an album version that allows you to see which singers of the 11 are singing on each song their picture lights up and the story aka lyrics are shown. In Arjen's narration video he just gives a short premises of the story but you can see the singers as they appear on the song, it either shows a picture or shows them singing from video clips they sent to Arjen. Up to 30 tracks yet to go, some even better than this, some very different, all very high level, with some surprises you would never have guessed, some very heavy, some shorter than 6 minutes, some even longer than 20 minutes, The storyteller guitarist can shred like no one, there is also another sing singer that can really sing, and there is a multi folk instrumentalist that joined the lot, and I can go on and on. What they did and presented between 2010 and 2020 was absurd and still is. The era with the first and original vocalist has some stunning highlights too, as a bonus. There is much more to say, but I think this is enough to go on with the biggest ride there is. The funniest thing is that for many years a great part of the music industrie and even loads of metal fans did not know about this band at all.
I can understand them being widely unknown. not because they aren't phenomenal,(they are) but because across all genres of music, the best seem to be underground, or they just don't have the right marketing to give them enough exposure.

Private Marshall Nightwish Army reporting for duty. Glad you enjoyed it 2 A.M. There is so much more. This entire concert can be reacted to from the beginning, one song at a time. There are no bad songs and each one you hear is very different from the other. And each one will become your new favorite. That might sound ridiculous but we have seen it over and over again. This is a live band. This is a rarity that the live music is better than the engineered versions. Stick with live.
General Gabriel should arrive to give you a road map and a history to help you on this most magical of journeys. Besides managing a band on her own she also did a lot of vocal coaching and as she is a perfectionist, she wants to do everything at 100%+. Eventually she had to pay the price and got a burnout. She had just recovered when end of september 2012 the call came from Nightwish to fill in for the remainder of the North American Tour at first as their second singer Annette got ill. This band is at the very top of modern music. They are exceptionally perfect. Unbelievable this is live. Check out every song of them. They don't do lesser songs. Don't listen to them for an hour. It will give you a heart attack because it is one big crescendo of excellence.... There never was a band like this. And there probably never will be another band at this level. And the cooperation with Floor.... 1+1=3. That about says it all. Floor is a unique force of nature. A 6 feet 2 demolition squat bringing down walls with her voice ( if she is not building fences with a sledgehammer in her free time, which she actually does). Thank you nightwish. welcome to the fantastic symphonic metal universe of Nightwish Band, their live performances are some of the things that come so close to epic that they get to be mythical and of course Floor Jansen, queen of the stage and goddess of music, she can sing anything in any musical style she wants (WARNING! her voice, her stage presence, her charisma, in one word: her "spell" is highly addictive).
this concert (wacken 2013) is incredibly epic and deserves to be watched and reacted entirely, song by song, in particular I suggest these three songs: "song of myself", "storytime" and "ever dream"
this performance of "ghost love score" is one of the three best performances of the nightwish band, together with "the poet and the pendulum" from 2015 concert at the london wembley arena and "the greatest show on earth" from 2015 concert in tampere - finland (actually there is a fourth best performance: "dead boy's poem" from the 2018 concert in buenos aires).

Nightwish is a glorious rabbit hole of awesome, with world class song-writing, musicianship and arguably (or unarguably to most who've heard her enough😉) the best and most versatile female vocalist alive today (maybe ever), the Valkyrie Queen of metal herself Floor Jansen (pronounced Yansen). Floor is a classically trained soprano and has a vocal range of more than 3 octaves (D3 to F6+).
Floor is the third female vocalist that Nightwish have had (and my personal favourite), she was only with them on tour for 10 months at this point and officially joined the band in 2013, she is still with them today.
The other vocalists are -
Tarja Turunen - (1996-2005) - (Finland) - Very operatic focused vocals.
Anette Olzon - (2007-2012) - (Sweden) - More pop-centric vocals.
Floor Jansen - (2012-Present) - (Netherlands) - Extremely diverse vocals, from deep growls to full on opera.

Floor herself is Dutch and is another glorious goldmine of awesome as she has a lot of non-Nightwish related stuff (including 2 other bands, After Forever & ReVamp) that she has done that is all pretty amazing as well. She is also an absolutely lovely, funny, smart and grounded person (in fact all the band members are exceedingly down to earth individuals). She has her own channel here on CZcams where she regularly posts covers of songs.
The band was formed in 1996 by lead songwriter/composer and keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen.
The name of the genre they generally belong to is Symphonic Metal but their discography is EXTREMELY varied.
The "Symphonic" backing tracks of their music is composed in the majority by Tuomas and performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
This was the 13th song in this particular set, Floor is belting notes like that the entire set.
Nighwish are almost always better experienced with LIVE versions of their songs if at all possible.
Most new reactors are better off sticking with the Wacken 2013 set to begin with as it offers a taste of a lot of what Nightwish has to offer, they have multiple concerts though all of which are superb.
Some suggestions for more songs for you to continue your journey would be Romanticide, Storytime, Ever Dream, Ghost River, I Wish I had an Angel, Song of Myself, Dark Chest of Wonders, I Want My Tears Back and Amaranth all from Wacken 2013 (pronounced Vacken).
Saying that, anything from Wacken 2013 is golden really to start, there's a reason why that set is pretty legendary at this point, 82,000 people were in attendance.
Beware of some messed up slowed down versions of the Wacken 2013 songs as they can take the energy right out of the performances, just check the comments on them and I'm sure someone will mention if it's a slowed down version.
Your choice obviously but I'd avoid Poet and the Pendulum and The Greatest Show on Earth for now until you are more familiar with the band and it's history, they will make a lot more sense and be more enjoyable for you that way.

Yes, on occasion the sync is off. we are looking into that. usually, Dirk does go back a bit...I think he just got caught up. as far as pausing... we pause when we have something we want to say. No worries my friends. Martine is actually a female name in Netherlands. The lyrics are in the subs (cc). You will find that Nightwish lyrics (written by Tuomas (keys), are very poetic in style and filled with metaphors and imagery.
Floor Jansen, The Dutch Valkyrie Queen of symphonic metal does have operatic and musical theater training. Floor does perform "Phantom of the Opera. Nightwish actually has a rendition of The Phantom. You can check it out live from their "End of an Era" dvd. It is done with their 1st vocalist Tarja. She is basically an almost all operatic vocalist.

Floor Jansen is a vocal athlete with incredible range, versatility, vocal stamina, and stage presence. She is a spinto soprano with a range of around four octaves +. When listening to Floor sing, it is apparent that she has spent the better part of her life fine-tuning her instrument with help from several vocal coaches. Floor can sing in multiple languages and genres, and is a Master vocal coach. She often refers to herself as a vocal nerd. It is incredible how she is able to take any song from any genre and make it her own. This woman is a true gift to her craft and an incredible addition to a band that has always been great until 2013 when they officially hired the undisputed Queen of Metal, Floor Jansen, making Nightwish the greatest band on the planet. You just heard GSL,13/15 in the set list at Wacken 2013. You should hear the show opener Dark Chest of Wonders. It’s the first time many of the 82k in attendance would be seeing Floor as lead singer in Nightwish. She was still relatively new to the band during this concert filling in as lead singer & not yet announced as an official new member yet.
Their response to seeing her with Nightwish in the opener set the stage for the magical night that would unfold.

Dirk, you're one of the few reactors who noticed that the guitarist, Emppu (Empoo) Vuorinen, tells a story with his guitar. And Marko Hietala, the bassist, isn't often looking at his guitar whilst playing! There are no ego's in this band. They are a very humble group of people. They play what the song needs and that is why they can tell beautiful stories. And there are a LOT of them to discover! One friendly tip: Always listen to the very end of the songs...some of them have surprises at the end haha. And...if Floor is whipping her hair (and she is very good at it) it's called "windmilling' as she is Dutch and the goosebumps you get are "Floorgasms"😂! Enjoy the ride. Hi guys, Nightwish made the most beautiful music from classical to rough metal. Floor is our Dutch Sirene, she IS an opera singer, classical trained indeed but her techniques are unique. Even famour opera singers like Elizabeth (famous) are blown away by her singing techniques and how easy she switches them. The lyrics of the songs are beautiful.poetic and deep. Thanks guys \m/

The main reason this version is requested is it's 82,000 people most of whom had not heard the newest singer, Floor Jansen, with the band as only joined ten months before mid tour and every song (15) she sings at this concert was written for one of the two previous singers. And for so many they believe she has taken Nightwish to a higher plain. If you find Floor Jansen's CZcams channel you will hear various covers plus links to her singing Phantom, Shallow (Lady Gaga), Dangerous Game from Jekyll and Hyde etc. She has also performed a slightly rock version of Vilja Lied from The Merry Widow and O Mia Bambino Caro.

Boy are you two gonna have fun with this band! It’s all the best parts of classic rock and metal, melded with the lyrical and symphonic elements of opera.
Floor has studied both extensively. So here on YT, you can find her performing O Mio Babino Caro by Puccini, Vilja Lied from Merry Wives, and somewhat infamously, Phantom of the Opera (the title song) with the original Dutch Phantom himself, Henk Poort.
Nightwish has also done some covers in their earlier days with their original singer, Tarja(Tar-ya) that you might enjoy. Tuomas(the keyboardist /composer) arranged Phantom’s title song for Tarja and Marko(the bassist/ male vocalist), as well as the band covering Gary Moore’s Over the Hills and Far Away and Pink Floyd’s High Hopes.
Stick with Floor and Nightwish and you really can’t go wrong! Also, not prying or pushing, but the band is coming to North America within the next two weeks if you wanted to try a live experience for yourselves.
