LEGO Technic NASCAR Next Gen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 42153 Reviewed! Better than Bolide or Huracán!

- The LEGO Technic NASCAR Next Gen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 set number 42153 is a phenomenal car! I love that it has a differential, some complex mechanisms on the inside, advanced gearing, and much more! Functionally, it's certainly much better than the bugatti bolide or the lamborghini huracan. I believe that, going forward, all lego technic cars at this scale and price must include a differential, since it is an essential mechanism of all cars!

The doors don't open because they aren't doors, they go in through the window (the set is however missing a window net)
Ye window net should be add
Window net would be hard though
True
jesus that differential rotation movement is dope...
I've been waiting for this so long. Great review. I also like this set more than the Bugatti bolide and the lambo because this one actually has a differential
I like how this one has more gears/functionality than the bolide. However it looks like a redesigned 42098 transporter’s car or 42138 mustang to me, as the side design of small mudguards, curved 3x11 panel, regular 3x11 panel and slope pieces was seen on all three. I also agree the design could’ve been better here since without stickers it’s not recognizable as a Camaro.
Honestly I really don’t care about aesthetics
I might be getting it for Christmas this year, if I’m lucky. Fingers crossed! 🤞
Hey man I love the review ! Where did you get the motor to rotate the wheel ?
Finally I’ve been waiting for this I love nascar
Would you recommend this or the chevrolet corvette that was discontinued (but still available on amazon in my country)?
Just bought mine can't wait 2 assemble it
Hi by any chance do you think you could make a video on how to put 2 pull backs into the Lego technic nascar if you can’t then that’s ok but if you can it would be much appreciated.
Nice review. Can you please make a video after the crawler crane is released. Where you compare all control+ sets like RacingBrick did a few years ago
It’s be really cool if you made an rc version like you did for the bolide!
I got this and cant wait to finish it
I wouldn't call it straight-up "better" because it's kind of its own different animal, at the end of the day. Sure, the fact they finally brought the differential back is nice (especially after the mess they made with the bolide), but the engine still leaves a lot to be desired and the car kinda looks... whatever, for me. It just doesn't have the appeal of exotic supercars, I guess, looking a tad tamer and more "ordinary" in comparison. Those iridescent stickers are cool, and the steering radius is surprisingly small from what I've seen, but I'd personally still go for the senna if prompted to
Hey unbrickme me, I think you put the tan engine pistons in the wrong way. They would move a lot more if switched around. Not sure though might want to double check. Anyways keep up the hard work I love your videos!
Actually I checked the instructions and they’re supposed to be this way
@@UnbrickmeHey, Unbrickme, what lego technic should i Buy First?
The Bugatti Bolide or the Nascar Next Gen?
@KathyaVazquez nascar
@@Unbrickme Oh, okay, thanks!
I had that question 😅
I built this kit the day after I did the Bolide and oh my word what a massive difference. This is a far more enjoyable kit to build. OK it maybe doesn't have the fancy W16 engine and maybe doesn't look as great and maybe a little too much reliance on stickers, but, give me more sets like this over the Bolide every time.
When following the instructions, I am not able to turn the gear on the back for the steering at all. After steps 69, 70, and 71, the brown rod gets locked in place and can no longer turn. Am I doing something wrong?
Yes, in Step 69, substep 3, you probably put the grey piece wrong, this should be able to freely turn around the brown rod.
I think the sets like the Bolide, Huracan and the Senna don't have differentials because they are much more denser than the sets like the Chevy Corvette and the Camaro.
I got the lambo for part number and also i love the green color (thr discoloration doesnt bothers me) but i will be picking this one next just for the functions (also i hipe it looks good stickerless)
Hey unbrickme, when will the Liebherr LR13000 video review come out, I'm so excited for it since I'm obsessed with crawler cranes and lego technic, Thanks!
Can’t say exactly when but really soon
@@Unbrickme Thanks for telling!
Just got this set today and I immediately watched this video lol 😂
Edit: Thanks for the review which is why I chose to buy the set!❤
I built mine yesterday. And I think I did something wrong. Because the mechanism doesn’t work all the easily. Which is basically fine by me. Because I’m just going to display it. And not play around with it. Ether way I’m not gonna take it apart and try to fix it. So I guess I’m stuck with it. Which is fine with me.
Lol a friend of mine got me this as a birthday present a few weeks ago😊
Happy late birthday
Could a Captain America Minifigure fit in the cockpit? Or would it look too small?
Nice video next time pls 42146.👍
A few more videos before then
@@Unbrickmeim excited sad i cant afford it as i just bought the volvo ew160 second hand and the skip truck/container truck
Have it. Also, doors do not open in a NASCAR race car
Huh now this is a coincidence that both the Chevloret Corvette and the Chevrolet Camaro had same name of company and same mechanisms like a differential, maybe lego technic has a thing with Chevrolet vehicles
Both cars are wide enough to fit a technic frame and lego only wants to include a differential if there is a frame for some reason
Oh I see@@Unbrickme but do they have a thing with Chevrolets
Im getting that car
I had the Lego Nascar for 4 months
Nice!
The doors don't open in the real racecar so that is accurate.
💀
How do they enter to the car?
@@KathyaVazquez they climb in through the window area. The cars don't have windows either
@@MicahPotts they don’t have windows? Surely that causes a lot of drag
@@Unbrickme I guess not as much as you'd think as they are definitely NOT there
I built that just 1 month ago!!!!!
How do you make good content so fast?
I have a special stopwatch that allows me to freeze time, while I can still do stuff
LoL, that's op@@Unbrickme
Just built this, but I replaced the gears with power functions. Not a bad little remote controlled car.
Interesting
It certainly is
Hey i think you placed the engine pins the wrong way
Probably
Actually no I just checked the instructions I placed them right
I have it
You built the pistons upside down.
Are there wider wheels that fit the Camaro ZL1? I don't like the cucumber slices 🥒🥒 that came with it.
Dang that took long
I know right
@@Unbrickme why'd didn't you buy it
@@harrylee6101 Actually I have had this since February
@@Unbrickme ._. Why didn't you just review it
I’m sorry. I suppose I was busy with other content but I promise I’ll never delay reviews this much ever again
Openable doors on NASCAR model... OK.
💀
Make this rc
The only thing that i don't like are the pistons, they look a little bit bad, and they aré not functional at all.
hi
Hello there
mr unbrick give me a lego set pls
No
@@Unbrickme pls
You can't open the doors in a nascar.
💀
