This is a re upload. Original upload date: July 22, 2021. It was later deleted a few days later, but now it's back!
Original was in 4k, this is only 1080p. I cannot upload in 4k right now due to my very slow internet.

Fun fact, when the dark blue technic 4x4 came out my dad bought 2 at our Lego store to flip them, thinking he could make a profit. I think he made a few dollars, but that was about it. I’m sure if he had waited a few years he could have made bank. It was a really odd idea, as it’s something he’d never done before and has never done since. He doesn’t even use lego.
Dang, that was fast.
no more 3 month waits
Welcome back @unbrickme! 🎉
4:57 I agree with you 100%, LEGO should definitely recolor the Technic pins to make the builds look more appealing, especially for 18+ display models! At the very least, they should offer it as an option!
It's good to have You back. Many people missed You and Your videos and opinions, especially on this year new sets. Welcome back and I hope You're all well and ok.
All well and all ok! Thank you!
Love your videos. We share common approach to the essence of lego technic. Great job!
I've managed to track down a sealed pink Lego clock set, can confirm that it never came with pink 40tooth gear, only white.
Yep, I was disappointed as well
Wow, 3 months passed so quickly
wow! Nice video!
Interesting video! 😊
thanks!
The goat started uploading again
🐐Thanks! I’ll never be inactive ever again
isn't the 'dumb' powered up box in the airbus helicopter
True, but this video was originally released on July 22, 2021
Why didn't you upload it back then?
There were some comments claiming that a particular set, which I said was only in the USA, was also available in Europe. Whether I am right or they are right, I have no idea. I just went off of blackbird’s technicopedia which claimed that sets were only in the USA. It’s the best tool I have for telling the rarity of a set. Hopefully it’s right. But yeah I feared I could be inaccurate back then, that’s why.
Lego don’t do military stuff. Sure. They did all the Starwars and more.

7:11 I looked this up on eBay
The cheapest one I could find was $1300
💀
07:41 Sure the Osprey is a rare kit….but it’s easily recreated. Tough to do it in the set colours, but you can get all the parts in yellow and red to create a nice coherent colour scheme for a recreation of the set! And the motor and hubs are identical to those in the Airbus helicopter set! All in you can recreate the kit in a red and yellow colour scheme for a fraction of what the actual set costs! If you buy used it could only cost you as much as the original RRP of the set! I know because that’s how I built mine! 😂
Thanks to the very basic brick and parts from the early 80’s technic sets I have pieced together the go kart, the small motorcycle and all 4 engine models from the engine set.
I recently returned to technic to get my little brother into it. It's interesting to see what I missed over the years. Great video. They should have sold the V-22 IMO.
Thank you! I completely agree! Nothing wrong with an American military aircraft
@@Unbrickme Yeah, and if nothing else, a tiltrotor used in a rescue capacity, consistent with the stickers, is novel and viable.
@@Unbrickme Same here, as an aircraft enthusiast I would've loved to see it. Besides, we literally got legitimate fighter jets in sets like the Air Race Jet and Blue Power Jet (F-35/F-22), Display Team Jet (L-39 Albatross or similar), or Super Soarer (F-14)
I do wonder though, you often say *modern,* so theoretically speaking they could make something like a P-51 or SR-71, or maybe a DC-3 or C-130 (DC-3 was originally built for airlines to begin with, P-51, SR-71, and C-130 could all be marketed as relatively safe aircraft like the Blackbird with NASA, C-130 with Coast Guard, or P-51 racer)
Real.
Tried to get my hands on the V22 but the parts for it are starting to show up in other sets so the price of it may go down in the following years. I have already started collecting some of these parts myself.
I own a 41999, I can't remember I had to be super early to get it. It's a great set, but the crawling capabilities are not that great. It still looks great on the shelf.
Was worried about you there for a while! I built the 8043 excavator and 42113 osprey from parts because of your reviews of them.
Wow thank you! That makes me very happy! I hope you are enjoying the osprey and the 8043 motorized excavator
Me and my friend actually recreated the Osprey from scratch a while back. We even got our hands on that exclusive battery box for it believe it or not.
6:26 my uncle had that set lol, of course it's been (dis)assembled many times, but we still have it at our grandparents' place... great set, especially for the time
I’m still fuming Lego cancelled the Osprey. One of the coolest planes.
My dad has an engine set. It’s in pieces and a old little toolbox. 4:13
awesome
i build with lego mindstorms functional boat
Well here is video idea top 10 retired lego sets wich have no sealed copies anymore
wow, now those are TRULY discontinued sets. gotta make a video like that. mostly it's gonna be sets from the 80s or 70s i think
Never liked the idea of buying lego to sell for profit
It’s what saves Lego sets! Without scalpers, every old sealed copy would be long gone. I’d argue they are the ones responsible for preserving sealed copies from 50 years ago.
I know it’s an unpopular opinion, but I feel like without the culture of buying sets to resell, nobody would be able to enjoy sealed sets from many years ago
I don't think 1972 was sold only in usa. I bought it in Norway in 1987, and I'm quite sure it was sold in denmark and sweden as well. Gary Istok knows the details.
Wow amazing! I based it off technicopedia, which claimed it was from the USA only. It could be wrong. I could be wrong. By the way, who is Gary Istok?
I want 42113 so badly however I can’t justify the $1000 cost :(
I have the green small helicopter
2:00 but you did a review on it?
True, a copy popped up later on and then I bought it. This video was originally uploaded on July 22, 2021, which is why it has some age-related inaccuracies.
i have set 30465 ( 6# )
So you're still alive then?
Gnitseretni
first
thanks!
My dream technic set it the V22 Osprey but it’s very hard to find one cheap 🫤🫤🫤
0:20 it's not rare then, 8847 if it was only released in America then is not rare, remove from the list.
