I Michael and Lauza, I can't wait to watch the first of the videos from the Azores, the only part of Portugal I never been. Talking of "never been" the Botanical Gardens in Funchal, yes! one of the places I've never visited.
I think that the difference between the MonteTropical Gardens and the Botanical Gardens, probably is the fact that the Monte one, is a broader showing of species from other tropical parts of the World, the Botanical one is basically, Madeiran species, correct Me if I'm wrong.
That restaurant and the food(???) dear me! I just love that type of cuisine, I'm glad your mum and her other half love it to.
