newer badminton player need to discover the insanity of past legend as well.
Yea back in the day everybody from my village want to be like him
He was not consistent. He had much more talent left but he stopped playing because of his fight with organisation and lazy issues. He didn't win any medal after 2006. Not 1 medal. Not even super series title. All of them were kids in 2006, so they didn't know him.
@@Carl_13031bro.. he won 2010 french open.. plz do some research before u talk 😂
Daddies & liliyana natsir, the most humble players
im from philippines, 🇵🇭 and i love badminton, my favorite badminton players is Lee Chong Wei from malaysia🇲🇾 and Anthony Ginting from indonesia 🇮🇩 why? LCW. very respectable, humble. kind, even more looses before he become a Legend, he never quit, Ginting, ive never seen e trashtalk other player, silent but killer, and i like him deception style and very humble. respectable that why i choose of three. ❤ and kento momota from 🇯🇵 kind humble
true
Simple Lin Dan is everything in badminton ❣️❣️❣️❣️
They were mentioning absolute legends only and somehow my respect truly flew past the sky when some of them idolize legends that aren't from their own country 🙏
Respect Momota 🔥
Big W Vitidsarn! Les gooo LCW gang
For me it’s Momota himself… I like his style the most, compared to Axelsen, and he earned some hefty stats before the accident when he was World No. 1. It’s kind of sad that he can’t seem to do as well now but I applaud him for continuing amidst the criticism instead of quitting
1) Daddies 2) LCW 3) LD
In the order in which they have conducted themselves in the court
Hendra Setiawan! pemain paling cool
i think both LD and LCW is commendable as an idol
Lin Dan is the GOAT of GOATs. I say this as a Malaysian. LCW is great but 2 Olympic Golds beat 2 Silvers, for me.
Lcw 3 silver medal olimpik not 2
Yup 3 silver but for me it's both of them bcs sometimes it's not always about the playstyle or how good they are but sometimes it's about the attitude of the player
Lcw very consintent plyer..

Bang soo hyunn = perseverance. Squeezed between susanti and zhaoying but managed to
Get to the top gloriously
Bang rose to top when Susi and Tang Jiuhong already passed their peak I think. But yes Bang is a great player for sure
@@sho9214 tang maybe, susi no. See bwf superseries between 95-96, susi was still very much on top.
@@viktorfang1234 she passed her peak already. Her peak is from 1992-1995
In 1996 she lost in many important matches
Tai Tzu Ying: Nobody
Momota: Everybody 😂
Tai DOES NOT have to answer it this way. Its such a brain dead answer and show her arrogance.
She is arogant player,no body athlete don't have idol.she be a batmintoon player because she watch a match and she interested to play badminton too
@@andisitohang-kh1kpwhy are you so Jealous? It's her choice
Kento-san is always my idol in badminton. Very down to earth and cute too ❤
For me Kento Momota ,I really like his style.
I can see pain in Kento's eyes
I'm from India and mine is LCW but LD is better honestly.
TTY : “No one”😂
I grew up during Indonesia golden era of badminton
Besides all Indonesian players, my favorite is Lee Chong Wei. His agility is insane, and he plays super smart as well
My badminton idol is kidambi srikanth, I don't care about achievements, just looking at his game makes us realize how this game has to be played, extreme sport intelligence and skills (especially 2017 srikanth)
I respect him for playing his own game, not following the mainstream play styles.
@@andrew-ng he was a special special talent but sadly injury.....
I feel the same way but I think he does have achievements. He was the world no. 1 for a week. Won silver medal at world Championships(the only indian to do so) . Commonwealth Games silver and bronze medalist. And not to forget he probably has the most superseries titles for an Indian mens singles player. (Buy duration he probably had the best prime out of all the men's singles players... Probably lakshya will match him in near future)
@@gaganvarshney3287 i know all that, but he has underachieved as per his potential
@@HELLO_019 Indeed deserves an either of All England or world champ or olympic medal atleast
10 years later.. The Badminton athlete ath that time get the same question and i bet.. Viktor, Momota, Kevin Sanjaya, Yuta, An SeYoung, Ginting, TTY are on the list,, Pin my comment and Let's watch this Video again in years 😂😂
Ahsan Hendra Daddies ❤
a lot of wisdom in Kento Momotas answer
Momota's answer 🤯👏👏
Momota❤
For me : Liem Swie King, Hendra Setiawan, Lilyana Natsir, TTY
Past women players might be disappointed by the answers of those women players.
Past players like Lene Koppen, Zhang Ai Ling, Li Ling Wei, Susi Susanti and Xie Xingfang might say : "Who they think we are ?".
Susi might say : "I am the 1st Olympic champ and won world championship. I won All England 4 times." 🤦♀️
It's not necessary! Sindhu is already 2 times Olympics medalist and 5 Times World Champion medalist ! Won mostly prestigious BWF events like World Tour finals , Asian Championship , etc . Why she will choose other female player then ??
Kento with a beauty pageant reply.
Like politician
Momota has the best answer and my idol as well
Momota is my only favourite player his humbleness and innocency is just unmatchable
Momota san my heart is with you onlyyyy ❤❤❤❤❤😊
Momota senshu 🙌 Great answer!
Paduka momota sungguh bijaksana dan rendah hati engkau menjawab. ❤❤
LD he has always been and always will be.. The GOAT
Iin Dan is still today the best singles badminton player in have ever seen.. Guy can attack defense incredible stamina to play long matches and his mentality and patience especially in decisive points is just unmatched.. A lot of players will just smash when given the chance.. He is the only one that would rather rally with you even when he has the chance to smash and he would still do it during match point.. Best footwork I have ever seen too..
Taufik hidayat is legend idol. Seniman badminton
LYD and Fu Hai Feng were my favourites for doubles
Kulavut has Lee Chong Wei for his idol and now he can grab his first world championship like his idol.
Another legend begins!
Congrats Kulavut 🎉
LCW was great but he never won the world championship

MS : LIN DAN
MD : HENDRA SETIAWAN
XD : YUTA WATANABE
WD : 0
WS : 0
WS : ZHANG NING / KOREAN PLAYER 1996 /SUSANTI
WD : ZHAO YUNLEI / GAO LING
how about Ge Fei / Gu Jun for WD ?
0:27 did he just roast his partner??
This is a question that gauge the player's ego 😂
The legend in the video summarize it all
Why noone pick zhang nan eventhough he won four world championships and two Olympic gold in two discipline...?.. Zhang nan is such an underrated player.
Becoz people always focus on mens single.. mixed double not their favorite disciplin
Rudy Hartono, Liem Swie King, Susi Susanti, Prakash Padukone, Peter Hoeg Gade...aaah it's a long list.......
Momota's answer is very carefully structured so as not to offend any players (presemt and past). After all, everyone who shared the court has had an impact one way or another.
But the question, if I were as a person worthy to be asked of, is more of a personal and singular, and not a collective impact, and I would say Lee Chong Wei. To me, he played gracefully, respectfully, and proudly. Despite his shortcomings, he remained true to his name. Hail to the G.O.A.T.
