    I have been using Macbook air M1 and it's a beast. Apple can change the market with just 1 product and with M1pro and M1max they just made other laptops look like aged old technology. This is great engineering from Apple.

    Apple is pretty good at bringing its customers back. With the kind of quality and experience they create using their products, customers find it hard to move away from Apple.
    With its dive into the software space, it will be interesting to see how they’ll ensure the customer retention provided that market penetration won’t really be a huge problem for them

    Well, as far as iPhone unit sales are concerned…I would like to opine that back in 2016, there was hardly any competition for apple in the smartphone market that would beat Apple in Smartphone market, other than Samsung. It is just amazing that iPhone sales are so strong even after so tough competition from Android market.

    Its just a mature phase of business Apple's iPhone is going through,
    as someone rightfully said that "one cannot infinitely innovate a product".
    Its apparent that iphones have
    Little or no growth
    Industry consolidation
    High barriers to entry during the mature phase
    but company is making sure to maintain its market share and venturing into more valuable and revenue generating businesses.

    I've got to say on thing, Buying a new laptop these days is a lot of dilemma that's where apple is good at , you've got one upgraded product launched every year and no different series of products to suit different kind of needs(except for gaming though) all at one place like a good investment!

    Apple is known for its revolutionary products which is the reason why it is still a tech giant even after selling products at a premium price. Hence, it won't be surprising if apple brought another tech revolution through apple glass or something else.

    Apple has been known for its brand for a very long time. Its often criticised for the fact that it doesn’t necessarily reinvents itself with every upgrade. A lot of times, they just have minor changes here and there.
    Now that’s again something that might have contributed to the downfall of units sold.

    It would have been better if you have included M1/ MX chipsets when you are talking about revolutions in Apple. It is a wonderful revolution and a classical example of how you can eliminate your dependence on key suppliers, aka chipset manufacturers (Intel) by Backward Integration. Every other company now trying to emulate that model now. It is a true revolution in Hardware Industry after years. And the case study needs some more facts about the company's internal organisational structure. I would suggest to refer some HBR articles for this.

    These big tech companies and their innovations are becoming more intrusive into our private life and as a result our entire digital footprint is now available and the extent to which they can be used is unthinkable. The entire ecosystem is being built in such a way even if we try to avoid , we will get attached at some point indirectly due to challenges.

    Amazing vid! Apple could also enter in the cloud domain to give a direct competition to AWS, Microsoft or Google bcz of the vast data it has and the technical infrastructure it has..Also in future everything will move to cloud so it's a very profitable business

Check the rise in usage of cloud technologies ... Every industry/ organization has understood that digitization is the key to survive...cloud has a huge variety of industrial applications.. finance , healthcare and retail are some industries amongst others which will greatly benefit from cloud..
      Might as well try to research about this and how this tech works before saying anything against it...
      State real facts backed by data and not some mindless opinions..

      Very high CAGR doesnt mean apple has to just jump into it.
      Jumping into something just because "It has high CAGR" can be extremely disastrous.
      Apple doesnt have the infrastructure of AWS, Azure or Google Cloud yet.
      Apple cannot even remotely challenge AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
      Niche cloud providers is the best that apple can do.

    One think you missed. In western countries we don’t buy phones outright but on a contract and many times it’s free just to stay in the contract for 1-2 years. So price point is not that of a barrier for apple users with the retail customer.
    Wholesale buyers like the carrier make money via accessories & plans.

    Few more points to ponder on
    1) The potential of on board improvements with Mx chips that will make VR, AI/ML processing so much faster and accurate - potential to metaverse in XXX
    2) While you pointed out the decline of iPhone sales, you should note the rise in sales of MacBooks, and dominance of airpods which is the new add-on ecosystem entry product
    3) Their integration of further cross device capabilities, they are literally putting companies useless for ex: Sidecar, turning iPhone as your webcam and so much more!

    None of the recent Apple products are ground breaking. They have lost the competitive advantage. And, one should be careful entering an Apple eco-system as it has limitations. It is a white elephant that has lost value from consumers perspective.

    they will simply remove more features from there products for "environment", thanks to that now you have to pay 2000rs each for adaptor and cable. If they start charging the people for something like airdrop then people will surely question the company.

    Now i understand why huawei was banned. It was not just because of 5G. It was also to save apple because huawei was on the verge to capture apple's premium segment and huawei also had robust ecosystem like apple.

      They were banned because they were a Chinese company and all Chinese companies are mandated by Chinese law to hand over any information that the company is privy to on Request. No questions asked. 5g technology find essential applications in Defence, Critical infrastructure and Sensitive Information including transactions.
      No country is going to allow any other nation to hold a chokehold on them.

    Loved the video as always, Ganesh. Just two things I noticed. I might be wrong but I think I read somewhere that the market cap was 3 Trillion USD. And on a completely different note, your voice seems a little different in this video. Like quite different.

    Apple sales are not declining. Because in 2020 iPhone 12 is the most selling smartphone worldwide and in 2019 iphone 11 was. In 2021 also iphone 13 series also made a ground breaking record larger than expected.

    All companies need to follow their ethics. Companies like Apple and Amazon are in their job to grow by stepping on their customers' sales and by themselves building what their customers build. Like Amazon is manufacturing their best selling products by themself with a low MRP and now Apple is doing the same. If we as customers encourage this, It is going to impact many small businesses.
