There will be a Headcrab (Probably), as you can find sprites of one in the game's files. As far as I know, those sprites date all the way back to the star pack.

You should create an animal that will instantly kill one of your opponent’s animals that is statistically most detrimental to your team. But to get that new animal, you have to give away all your current animals and basically start your team fresh but you’re already halfway or more through your lives. #showerthoughts
