Wow lovely to see an old House in Ireland. A lot of the big houses and castles were burnt down during The Cival War.
Heard someone breathing (definitely not you) when you were looking at the bits of furniture and metal (31:20) 👻
Amazing building, great explore x
I heard that too. Like a heavy breath. And it was so loud!
Wow!! That’s so loud too!
That was odd. Definitely wasn't coming from Matt.
I too heard it and it was extremely LOUD‼️
I heard a burp at the 1 hour mark i thought it was matt farting lol lol
Matt I just wanted to say you're doing an absolutely fantastic job and we're ALL so proud of you, your amazing ❤❤
it might be worth investing in a full spectrum video camera, and IR light, not for ghsopt hunting but for stealth so you could see any security but they couldnt see you
You know if someone is outside, they can see that flashlight shining everywhere! 😂
SHIT! I JUMPED OUT OF MY SKIN WHEN YOU JUMPED! DAMN IT! LOL! 😂
I went back round the corner to the corridor with no windows for that reason … but then thought feck it ! If I get caught I get caught
@@FINDERSBEEPERS I'm so glad you didn't get caught!
I'm really glad Bear wasn't with you! 💜✌️💜
I’m thoroughly enjoying these Scottish and now Irish series. It’s brilliant.
I really appreciate the hard work, long hours, sleeping in your car, trekking miles and miles, and being away from your loved family must take a toll
Matt you have really made this channel the best.
This explore was amazing. Even though there was no ornaments, etc it’s such an interesting property to see the architecture which I love.
If I could give you a million thumbs up I would. ❤❤❤
Breaks my heart seeing these places in this condition. But on the other hand, if they were in use you wouldn't be able to sneak in & give us your amazing tours. Thanks for your hard work, Matt. You're a 🌟
Living “across the pond” as they say, I very much appreciate all these explores of places I will probably never see otherwise. Being a history buff only adds to my enjoyment. I say history buff not so much in the documemted history… which I do enjoy… but the day to day living, mundane history of the people that came before us. Very much appreciate you for what you (& Bear 💜) do!
What a great Halloween video, I'm already scared. And only 20 min it's in. Can't wait to watch the rest and watch Thursday's recap. Loving the long videos on sunday❤
When you go these places I imagine them filled with furniture and picture in my head what it couldve looked like. Such a beautiful building. When we build cladded horrible buildings these are now more precious then ever and its good you can capture them before they disappear altogether.
Just watching this Matt , you are crazy , but you are one of the most dedicated You Tuber I’ve seen doing these explore . You deserve all the success !!!! Come on guys get this subscribing done !!! x
@julie, I just subscribed, love this channel. Much love.
You are so blessed to have access to and the courage to investigate these beautiful historical estates!! Here in the western US, nothing is old!
Think i prefer you and bear as a team...you got balls of steel..
Matt, I am not really afraid of cemeteries because my mother would take us kids to graveyards to read the tombstones, but I have never been to one in the DARK. I really like it when you use the pronoun, "we" because I feel like I am there with you.
The little lift thing you mentioned about sending food from the lower levels to the main house, is whats known as a dumb waiter, so it does seem that the servants actually lived an worked down in the basement, where as usually they'd live in the annex of the roof.
I love how much you appreciate all the little things you see. It is like we’re with you.
That place was incredible, it would make a beautiful hotel if it were done up, if I had the money I'd definitely buy it a renovate it
Loved it!😍 Don't mind a longer video,time flies with you! 😊
Some where around 31:00 or 32:00 I heard something hiss at you and right after that I heard whispering. I really thought there would be a lot more of that considering where the heck you are. That is one spooky looking place but I do have to agree with you about the ceilings and the dome shaped areas. I'm with you , I too wonder just who walked those hall's, who walked those stairs. What kind of lavish parties went on there? What sort of horrible abuse happened within those wall's? My mind just wonders! If you ask me there was some ugly wallpaper going on in some of those rooms. I mean there wasn't much left of it but what was there looked like they could of used a different interior decorator. I do think though that, I myself, would have turned around as soon as I saw that I had to walk through a terrifying cemetery!!! So I would of never even gotten to the wallpaper lol. Great video Matt! Thank you for showing me, once again, something that I would of never seen myself!!!!
Let me ask you, why would someone be walking around that awful, out in the middle of nowhere place? And where did they come from and where did they go to? And how could they be strolling around in total DARKNESS???? It's all a bit odd!!!! Again Matt, Thank you for taking me along. You are a bit of a CRAZY bloke though. Sorry.....it's sad but true! Big hugs! Stay safe!!!
Looking forward to another amazing video from you Matt! Thanks for all the work you're putting in!!
31:20 heavy breathing noise. And around 32:26 and at 32:34 again, you can hear a whisper. Great explore, beautiful sealings.
Great Video Matt! We don't worry about you during videos you've posted. You posted it! We know you got home ok! Love from RI, USA!
Hello from Missouri.
(55:20) I swear that fart sounded like someone double clapped to call for a waiter
This comment made me piss myself with laughter
@@FINDERSBEEPERS haha made me laugh listening to it! Another great video this week, can't wait for the next one. OH! and our first Wednesday win today! W.A.W.A.W
Matt, I really enjoyed this one. Huge house. Love your bravery for doing these places alone. be safe!
The architectural decoration and the fireplaces are my favourite things about these grand old buildings. I sure wish that kind of craftsmanship would return. Thank You for another magnificent adventure Matt. 😊💚
This is such a good video Matt.Really enjoyed it.What an amazing building. Thanks for the background history. If only those walls could talk!
Another great explore, you did make me laugh when you lifted the toilet seat up.😂😂😂😂
Loved this. So had to find out more.
Built by Frederick Trench. They had their own railway station. The railway went up to their house. Also had a church, mausoleum and ice house there.
I'm scared already.. First noise I would be gone!
Wow! Just wow. The architecture is amazing. I love it when you visit such beautiful places. Amazing design but such a shame it is going to waste.
Thanks for a great video!!
Hey, Matt. Great exploration, and some great architecture. The small lift you were referring to was called a "Dumbwaiter". All the best, stay safe.
I share your passion, Matt… ceilings, fireplaces, plasterwork, it all fascinates me, the work that went in to every element. I also have a particular penchant for wallpaper! I’m a sucker for a bit of Sanderson 😂 oh and books too, love all the old books in other explores, t’was me who sent that lovely quote about the books we own ❤️📚
You always bring out the fascination and joy in every single explore, regardless of what lies within, we appreciate you 🙏🙏🙏
Amazing old house, I love your videos, just pointing out that item you said may be a dress was in fact a very old silk stocking I’m sure 😊
Thanks Matt you made my Sunday pass quickly again :) Must say the last member of the family to own the property sounds "blummin" awful from what I've read in the newspapers :(
Nice to see you’ve got new trainers Matt no little toe peeping out lol
Left them in ireland
@@FINDERSBEEPERSI noticed the new shoes too. Why don't you wear FBHS shoes?
My Heart!!!..nearly went through my ceiling when you gave yourself a jump scare outside... flipping heck Matt! 1:16:23 Great video btw.
At 15.40 you ask about slate under the floorboards. Slate is used in building to pack things out because it doesn’t crush, so possibly the floorboards were not level and were packed underneath with slate.
Morning Matt xxx
Morning Beepers xx
GUTTED ! IM GOING TO MISS THIS AT 11 😭.
But I can watch and enjoy this evening ❤ . Enjoy this one everyone ❤💃... I just know it will be fantastic, as always .
Morning Edith 👋
Morning lisa 👋
Morning all 👋👋.
❤💃 .
Sorry I missed you all today 😭😭.
( Don't forget to hit the like button for Matt ) 👍👍👍.
I love the little details like worn stairs too Matt!
Another great explore…thanks heaps Matt, you are a legend. This mansion and the story behind it is absolutely amazing. Those ornate ceilings and decorations were magnificent. You are so passionate with your presentation and …YES…we are all there with you to listen to you talk so that you know you do have company, you are never alone, we are with you on every explore. Good you didn’t have cutie pie Bear with you, he would have given you away if he had have barked at the outsider.
Keep going Matt, we all love you and support you.💞💞💞
Great explore as always. Look forward to all your videos. You are doing a marvellous job keeping us on the edge of our seats.
Morning all x
That filigree-type decor (you called a swas tika) is the Greek Key.
You did it again! Great exsplore with great content! Thanks
What a brilliant video absolutely loved this place thanks for showing us . Your doing a great job matt x
27:09 maybe it was a fainting couch?
29:40 stairs, do you mean hill? 😂
31:20 wth was that hissing sound? 😬
39:22 i can hear walking.
50:06 left bottom, there’s an orb. Kinda wispy looking.
57:42 that’s a dumbwaiter.
1:00:09 that wasn’t you? This is scary!! 😮
1:10:24 that’s 1891 from what I can see.
Very cool place!
Hi Matt, great video.i think the stone on first fireplace is connemara marble.Connemara is an area of Galway.Keep up the good work ❤
Love you videos and narrative. We don't have much to explore here in the US, and places like this are absolutely amazing. Please keep up the great work!
As a new subscriber I’m hooked. You are totally lovely & very brave Matthew 😊
I definitely heard the burp too.
Hi nice work keep safe also at 100.11 seconds in there is a groan or growl.
Or some one with a bit of wind keep up the great work.😊
Definitely haunted!! You weren't alone!! There's a heaviness especially in the basement!! You need to do a cleansing when you leave places. Also let anything in places that they have to stay and they can't go with you. Stay safe!!! We worry about you being alone!!
I love a beautiful roof and fireplaces it's so so sade that no one loved it so much to take care of it 😢😢😢
hi matt my name is rob love your videos i had my headphones on and you said it was haunting but i am so sure with my headphones on the vol resonable @31.22 i sware i herd a women breathing when you was talking please have a listen, could you let me know what it was omg. great video thank you

Ohhhhh what a fantastic house. Thanks for risking life and lim to show us this one. I would love to see some before pictures 😍
Watching this from Orlando if Florida, can’t miss my Sunday fix just because lm on holiday xxx
The setting looks spooky….where’s Bear…your sidekick?
The explore is in Ireland… can’t take there on a plane
I do have the sense I'm walking with you, and I l9ve the empty rooms too!
Me and daughters have visited this mansion a few times. It's quite a hard one to get into normally. The burnt out room I'd the ballroom. It's a strange place we caught something on camera in the attic. The shutters bang in the wind and it generally has a strange feeling to it. There used to be a huge hole in the back wall where we would get in but wnen the restoration began the stone mansions rebuilt and it looks like there never was any damage. I nearly went through the floor twice in this one. We tried to sleep outside one night on an exploring adventure until we heard the sound of ballroom music and carriages driving by. We left. Yes a dark history. We've explored a lot od buildings in Ireland but this one stays with for a long time. I could be sitting in my bed at night reading month after visiting this place and suddenly its creepy feeling will just come over me. It's like it's energy kinda stickers to you and visits when your not expecting it. Saying that I'm quite skeptical but this house shook me. There's a lovely ice house in the grounds. They used to take the ice from the lake in winter and store it there. The owner also had his own railway line running there. Dark history, l don't even know how you walked around this one at night your either very brave or crazy😅 The gardeners cottage at the back is a beautiful red brick victorian building and there's what's left of the greenhouses and sheds for heating them in the walled garden. What an amazing explore Matt although I've been there was wonderful to see you explore it thank you. 💜The room with the skylight was the kitchen.
I would’ve loved to have spent more time there… not only was I on and it was 4 o’clock in the morning by the time I got back to the car! And because I was sleeping in the car, I need to try and get as much sleep as I could! Really good to hear a bit more information about the place though! And also I heard a train, but I have been since told the train station is now shut down and that piece of line is not used? If that’s the case, what did I hear?
Your very brave 😊the grounds are amazing too. The floor you were on which you thought was the servants a couple of the rooms were nurseries for the children and maybe for the nanny to live in. We managed to get on the roof past that blocked door and the attic rooms were up there too. Ghost trains wouldn't be surprised 😅
Could the cupboard with the metal doors be for the family silver ( cutlery tureens platters etc).?
If there was someone in a car outside this would mean you could have driven straight up to the house. The sound has probably just carried from a distance away.
Awesome place.. I'd be craping my self there all on my own 😢😂
Matt, I absolutely love these large house explores!! Never apologize for showing us these large 'empty' houses!
Matt please look into a place called Elm Street in Ellesmere Port? It’s an abandoned street with N old music studio and restaurant abandoned since early 2000s… might be shit but do some research?
Hi Matt! I always love the places with all the bits and bobs to look at and talk about but I also love this type of explore! So much lost architecture, so much beauty and a lost way of life. I love that you notice things like the wear on the steps. I have a old cash register from 1900 and the drawers are wooden with dividers. They have fingernail wear from change being taken out so many times, really makes your mind wander to those times. Keep up the great work and thank you so much for taking us along to places and times we would otherwise never see!
You could see what a beautiful house it was. The ceilings, the doors. It must have been something in its day.
Great place Matt, want to do one with you. All the rooms below with large stone flags where always the kitchens and the one with the conservatory glass roof to let light in and all the shelving for all the Hugh copper pots and pans and loads of store rooms for food. That outside bit was probably an ice store etc..😊
Loved the explore. imagine if you built something like that today and what it would cost. Millions. These people must have been up to seriously dodgy. What happened to your mate havent seen him for a while ?
What was the weird noise at 31:21 ? It sounded like a hiss or something. You didn't seem to react to it, and it sounded like it was very close to the microphone.
It hisses really loud for sure spooky that 👻👻👻
I was going to post about that very noise! Sounds like something breathing really loud/close to Matt. What a creepy place.
Absolutely fantastic, your right really bad vibes from that property. Please in future take care ❤
Magnificent place, and so sad it is left to rot away. Nice one Matt.
Thans Matt,another great video! ❤❤
The window weights are for the sash windows not the shutters Matt ok. They helped with the counter balance of the window movement.
Hi Matt, Andy & Bear! So Matt, when you showed the crucifix my heart started pounding out of my chest for some reason.. I'm not religious or any of that but it was weird when you showed that I thought I'd have to stop the video.
I love the wear patterns on stairs and pathways too. I love that you notice those types of things.
I just found your page and enjoyed the cemetery walk. It’s great going on adventures with you!
Matt it could be Italian marble please note marble comes in a multiple of colours
Some are man made
such a beautiful house..thanks for sharing x
20:30 that's not water my guy. You should really team up with someone. Most of the time you won't find anyone, but you don't want to run into the wrong person
30:59 that is a Star Wars battle droid
That burp sounded like it was closer to the microphone than even you...I think it was an EVP. HAUNTED
Throughly enjoyed the big house explore, back in the day i bet it was opulent. I live in the north of Ireland and I've never seen low lighting on in a graveyard before. 😊 🔦 xx
These stress me out....I could never walk around there on my own
40.50 , I think this room would be a walk in lader / store room, hence the hessian on the doors. Could also have been a food prep room as in meat and poultry hanging
That was GREAT. Really awesome. Thanks so much. xxxxx
S..t myself when you jumped 😅 once again, fab explore
HI, Matt, that is clearly pantyhose wrapped around the stair banister. What an amazing location, it would have been stunning in it's day. Shame about the nasty buggers that owned it. At 31:22, there is what sounds like a long intake of breath, that's creepy. 57:51 is a dumb waiter. At 1:00:09 there is a grunt! Just the thought that you are all alone in this spooky house miles from anywhere, I don't know how you do it! At 1:19:48 a strange, white smoke-like thing goes past you from right to left of screen, I think you MAY have captured a ghost! Thanks so much for your dedication! xxx
Probably full of tripe, but I imagine those setback alcoves were for portraits of the lord/lady of the manor. That's what it looks like "belongs" there to me. Then drink cabinets underneath with all your fine glasses. I don't know I'm making things up. XD
You could be spot-on, I love trying to imagine these things
Yes Matt. It’s the frame if a chaise lounges
hose servants would live upstairs, but if they had beer and or wine, they would have a cellar man, and in pubs and private mannor houses the cellar man would live downstairs, but some servatns did live in the cellar
That was amazing! Thanks Matt ❤
Wow, loved the long explore, thank you! I've said it before, and I'll say it again... You're mad brave!
I love this so much and you can really tell just how old this manor is. Wow!!
Brave I would not go alone🎉
Another fantastic video matt..thank you for all your hard work ❤❤❤
Matt you are right, it was horse hair , in floor was exactly I assume for insulation but just as a side note, the ceilings you love so much had just as much horse hair in them in the actual plaster casting moulds , from arches to cornices and ceiling roses too, all had horse hair in them , I worked as a plasterer all my life doing that sort of work , so the bits you found stacked that had come from the ceiling were probably being sorted to make some new moulds up to cast new ones for restoring,
Once again a scary place and alone
A breath 31.23… a quiet whisper 32.16
Thank you Matt
Cleary hear both breath and whisper . How weird
I just heard that whisper too. Had to go back and replay.
Best video for a while, cheers for all the effort Matt
This place was great!! Glad your done with it though. Was spooky.
This was a super location, Matt. It was nice not seeing a bunch of household trash like found in other abandoned buildings. Makes it easier to enjoy the wonderful architecture.
Your dry sense of humor is terrific!!! 😂😂 Thank you.
The room at 40:00 maybe was like a larder or pantry?
