    very nice, especially the little added info, such as what does volume vs surface do - nothing to heavy or distracting but really really valuable on the way to a better workflow.

    hallo, thanks! do you know why my character moves position to be where my blendshape is when i slide it on, no matter whether i choose pre or post animation or not in advanced menu when i create the blendshape?
    is it because i rigged the character's skeleton then made blendshapes?

    Hey man i have a problem with my Maya animation Scene. When I key some blend shape channel, at the moment they seem to work. But after restarting the app, some of them are not responding properly. eg. If "O" is set at 1 my character does not even moves its mouth. Sometimes it is some other blend shapes. Any way of help is appreciated. Im close to taking a render and Now meeting with this problem is giving me a headache

    Thank you for explaining, Sir.
    I have a doubt: When I'm modelling a full character, If I attach the head to the rest of body after applying 'blendshape' to the head for facial expressions... will it interfere with the blendshape when I attach by combining the head to the rest of body and merging the vertices?
    Sorry, I'm trying to learn blendshape for first time and this question popped up in my head...

    • @robredman
      @robredman  Před 5 lety +1

      Parasar Lenka Hi. Yes you are right. You need to create blend shapes last. If you change the polygon count or order it will mess with your blends. You could recess the head into a shirt or armour or something though and not directly connect. That could work in some cases.

    • @parasarlenka823
      @parasarlenka823 Před 5 lety

      @@robredman I see now.. The recess you said- I feel the parent-child relationship of the rest of body with outfit to head respectively should be the solution.
      Thank you so much again! You saved my day, Sir 🙏

    • @robredman

    Can we delete the extra reference heads? Or will it mess up our blend shapes?

    • @robredman
      @robredman  Před 5 lety

      Your best bet is to simply hide them. That way you can go back in and make adjustments as needed. Sometimes you will find that as you combine blend shapes they might interfere with each other and one will need tweaking.

      @@robredman I understand and thanks again for all your work. Really appreciate it. I'm only suggesting that you could maybe split the videos and dedicate one thing per video. It might also be easier for people to find what they are looking for. I wouldn't know that there is more than just blendshapes in this video. Video title should describe what's included. Everything else might go to waste if people don't know about it.
