Part of me was disappointed we didn’t get a third phase where Rayvis loses his armor and goes full Akira body horror on Cal. That would have been insane.
You really want to watch the world burn🤣 his 2nd phase was crazy enough imagine the 3rd💀 but i agree, it would’ve been cool to see
@@AlawiDenGhosty I mean yes it would be painful. But if you’re fighting one of Durge’s species, you want to see him go all out.
After spending 2 hours on the second phase on grandmaster I was going to delete the game if there was a 3rd phase

I was expecting something similar. I wanted to see Cal blow him apart the same way Kenobi did durge in the microseries form 2003.
When cal says "oh come on!" At the midway point i really felt that. Seriously good voice acting there.
This was awesome. Makes me realise im so bad at this game. Playing on normal difficulty and it took me 2 attempts to beat this guy and i used like 6 stims.
Yeah i felt exactly the same as cal in that scene 😂

when he fires his missiles, use slow time and then you can grab them out of their air and fling them back at him.
Just finished beating this asshole after almost 2 hours lmao. To anyone reading here are some tips:
Although cross guard stance is the slowest, it still packs a punch when you can land your hits. Specifically the overhead strike attack whenever Rayvis is vulnerable. Highly recommended so you can get some good damage in.
Remember that the double bladed stance has the ability to deflect multiple blaster bolts in succession. This is especially useful when Rayvis shoots his blaster while firing missiles in the second phase. Another recomendable stance for this fight.
If you use these two stances, it is important to be able to switch out as quick as possible. I found the quickest way to change stances is to hit the stance change button right after hitting the dodge button. This consistently got me in the correct stance quick enough to defend myself from his different attacks.

Then you have my stubborn ass using the Blaster saber stance for the sake of Canon in the first and the crossguard for the second stage.

Honestly its beautiful. The smooth transition from move to move, the perfect parries, the dodging, and finally the form swapping seamlessly to reflect the blaster bolts. This is what I dream to play like, I’m ass so I played my first playthrough on Jedi Knight but imma do my 2nd one on Jedi Master and hopefully get closer to perfection like this dude.😂

Imagine i beat his first phase for the first time, thinking to myself “hey that wasnt too hard” and within a split second i remembered hes a den’gai… i sat back up thinking theres a second phase, he’ll fully regen… alas i was correct🥲🥲took me extra few hours after that
@AlawiDenGhosty in all honesty, I somehow don't believe this will be the last we see of him because quite frankly a den-gi wouldn't die from something as mundane as lightsaber slashes, so here's hoping he returns for the sequal
Honestly, very unlikely. He wants to die. He wants to be granted an honourable death, he wouldnt let cal just cut him up just for him to stay alive. I think hes dead

@Elliott wood that's his wish. I get that, I'm just saying that because his species INHERENTLY can regenerate instantly regardless if he wished to die a "warriors death" unless there is some hidden lore about Gen-di choosing to not regenerate when killed then I admit that he could be dead.
I've been trying to beat this guy for over 4 hours now, how did you beat him on grandmaster without taking any damage?? like it's really impressive
Lots of time and dedication, even beaten him by kicking only and no damage😅
I kind of feel sorry for Rayvis he's pretty much forced to stick to his guns to The Bitter End

Honestly a good way to put it 👌high reward in damage if you have the patience. Reviewers probably just spam attack and get punished 😂

For me Rayvis was the hardest boss from story line. Somehow I found Dagan’s last fight and Bode’s easier, don’t know why.
Still I think this fight is no match for double ranchor and double oggdo
Na i get u, rayvis in his second phase just goes mental all of a sudden😂 but i find bode harder personally, and i agree defo no match for those guys💀
Some clean gameplay, but you could take better advantage of precision evade to through his wide unblockable sweep and stay close enough to deal some damage.

@AlawiDenGhosty I just fought him on new game+ myself, and precision evade and force parry were really fun and effective. Force parry really tears through his block bar, too. I did have a bit of trouble with timing the force parry. I'm not actually sure if the timing is different, though.
Force parrys are great👌 they have about the same parry window as normal parries, maybe a bit shifted to being earlier if that makes sense, like if u normal parry within 0.1 seconds of being hit, u parry but force parry wont go through cos its too late 🤔 something along the lines of that if that made any sense😅
yo bro what do you look at to time your parries and evades so consistently like do you look at their weapon or what cuz you goated when it come to parrying and evading i would appreciate it if u could give me some tips
The first thing i do is learn their movesets, for example, after 3 swings, he will do an unblockable attack etc. once u know the movesets, learn how fast each attack is. Then its the final step which is timing. Yes i do look at the weapon at all times, as soon as its about to strike, i block, and because now i know their movesets, i know where and when the follow up attack will be and time that as well… not sure if i explained it properly 🥲 but if there’s any confusion im happy to help

Is cross guard your favorite stance? I'm trying to do this without taking damage with dual wield.
My favourite stance is dual weild🫡but i found crossguard the best against him
I noticed that on some bosses using force push or pull interrupts their attack, did you check it works with him?
Pulling works on him, but pushing im not sure, i did not try. However i know that force parry works on him too🫡

What perks did you have on and can you do one with a single blade
Only perk i had was resilience, which gives me extra block meter. And i can do it single blade only, but it would just take longer to beat him. Cross guard does the extra high damage and double sided for the blaster shots. Speeds up the fight a lot
I found it easier with dual blade - I could consistently no-hit the first phase and only used 2 stims on the second phase
how much do u have in crossguard skills?
About half way, cant really use them because of the slow attacks i do, and how fast rayvis attacks

It's so sad to see how much this game does not make you feel like to be a jedi at all.
No force power usage, no flourishes of attacks to the point I don't see a reason in trying to invest in the "skill trees" (most are useless stuff with wind up of more than 4 seconds and other just extends your combo, which is useless when you can't make more than 3 strikes in a row). Dodging is often useless because of ground shockwave and parrying is not enjoyable seeing the amount of red attacks every single mob got.
I find the combat being far less interesting than Fallen Order. It's simple, I beat Fallen Order in GM 3 times, I was not able to finish Survivor in master (so I had to lower it to knight). I felt the game clunky, Cal being much less nimble than in Fallen Order. Overall he felt weaker than is FO counterpart.
IDK. I really, really did not enjoy this game. Not the combat, not the story (which I find to be utterly bad), none of the boss fight encounters are enjoyable...
Is there any tips to counter his health regen without perfect parries im gettin stomped
A simple tip i can give u is either use the blaster stance or duel weild. I believe he begins to regen after 2 second of not taking damage, so if your not hitting him, just shoot him once or throw ur saber to stop it for a little while. Hope it helps🙆♂️
I thought the same thing till I found a strategy for his second phase
Whenever he drops his mace (like at 4:20) he will ALWAYS do that swing spam move,
On top of this, I think when you parry he doesn't heal either (which you probably already know but I didn't at first)
There's also times where he'll do an unblockable and just sit there. If he sits there for more than half a second you can do 1-3 attacks depending on your stance.
One last tip, if you have a lot of stims (I had 10 because I was on new journey plus lol) just heal when you get below 75% health. It's better to waste your stims than have plenty left over and have to restart back on the first phase.
