People are too used to fast paced action that deals the most swings and hits for little damage. They can’t handle a strong swing that does massive damage. It’s alien to them. They need to move at light speed and deal absolutely nothing. They need to!!!
@@TheLuconic mindless button mashing on Jedi Grand Master difficulty will get you killed. Crossguard stance is perfect for this since JGM difficulty forces you to observe and punish your enemies and what better way than to land a single hit with massive damage.
Crossgaurd was perfect for this fight.
@edgewalker00 Don't underestimate dual wield stance, it's the only stance that lets you guard cancel which lets you attack non-stop as long as they don't use red atracks, but then real skill comes into play where you can force dodge or force parry those attacks.

Fractured Sanity might have been another option.
In my opinion this has to be the easiest force tear I've played. After getting killed by the first Rancor Boss for 23 times, it became easy to remember his move sets.
I prefer this fight over the demon frogs.
This is definitely way easier than the 2 oggdos🥲that took me about 2h30, this one took me less than an hour

Rancors are useless when you are underneath it's arms. It can miss it's attacks hilariously and wouldn't do the grab attack, gotta avoid the stomp AOE attacks though

@@AlawiDenGhosty how did u do the 2 oggdos? I used dual wield and blaster stance so I could try and stay as far away as possible and use single blade from blaster to parry to refill my force and blaster bullets

This game is awesome. In every way possible. Hats off to you if you played on Grandmaster. I like a challenge but not something that's just going to frustrate me to death. I beat the game on a normal level, and now it's off to find everything and get that 100% completion.

Can you 100% it BEFORE completing the story?
@stryfetc1471 I believe so.... You need some of the abilities you gain progressing through the story, but if you want to focus on completing all areas before you complete the story, you can. There are treasure maps that help you find all chest, scans etc etc. I believe there are 5 treasure maps total and makes it so much easier than aimlessly wondering for hours.
Nope, some force echoes are only available after the story 🫡
You know you’re a great player when the game respects you enough to actually give you the kill animation instead of glitching

This fight turned me into a man lol.
Probably took 3 hours, some attempts as short as 12 seconds.
But by the end of it, feels so good to nail the parry and perfect dodge like a machine. I was determined to do this with crossguard and I'm happy I did.
It really does feel good in the end 🫡 well done in beating him, good on ya🫡

The one time a lightsaber works like a lightsaber is supposed to work is when the finisher animation kicks in.
Yeah🥲i wish that the purity perk you get in new game+ where you have a massive increase in damage and increase in incoming damage always does finisher animations seeing that everything is pretty much 1 shot, would make the game feel phenomenal in new game+. But ofc, I understand why they make u hit everything like a baseball bat🥲

@@AlawiDenGhosty I'm playing on grandmaster and only use cross guard when I break their guard otherwise I'm just using dual wield for virtually all combat that attack cancel into block is just so good when it becomes over whelming and you can over extend in some cuz u can cancel to block.
A couple of the dodges were so lucky he'd of grabbed me for sure in that same position 🤣
Yeah if im being honest, 1 or 2 had me jumping of out my seat 🤣quite lucky, but its all about timing🫡

Nice, I find the difference between Jedi Master and Gransmaster pretty huge with parrying.

If you read the changes under the difficulty setting, you’re able to see the difference descriptions for the three bars enemy aggression incoming damage, parrying time

Cool you did it with crossgaurd. I did it with double blade and blaster, with a lot of stance dancing. Fuck that fight, but it felt so good to win it

Whats great about jedi survivor is that you can easily see what difficulty a player is on. At the bottom corner of the screen where the stances and the stims are, you will see 2 yellow dots. This means that it is on grandmaster. Each dot signifies what difficulty its on. Heres a tweet from the lead combat designer:

@@AlawiDenGhosty something I found in ng+ was if you equip the purity perk while on grandmaster difficulty, the dots turn red.

The crossguard is too underrated. Its actually too good when you use it well. I usually run the crossguard against stronger foes as my first stance and my second stance is the dual wield for some really fast paced combat. I dont think i need anything else on me when running around honestly
100% agree🫡my main is dual weild and second is crossguard, and as u said, dual weild for fast combat and for grouped enemies, and crossguard for big bois. Top 2 stances 🫡
This has to be a mod, that grab attack never misses when your that close.
I wish there was mods on ps5, so many things i wanna try out🥲

Once I unlocked cross guard I almost never used any other stance aside from blaster

Just finished this fight. I didn't crossguard (I preferred Blaster cuz the stab is so fast and easy damage) but watching this DEF made the fight a bit easier
Good job on beating them man🫡 but yeah, I believe blaster stance speeds up the fight🙆♂️
@@AlawiDenGhosty I was just falling to one rancor using its instant kill while I was in the windup for an attack knowing there was nothing I could do. I like the really really quick blaster stance pokes because you can occasionally sneak an extra one in without risking getting grabbed. Couldn't match your zero damage run but watching how you handled their attacks really helped
Dual sabers pretty good in terms of mobility and speed too, i tried that and blaster stance but i found the crossguard easier personally. Even though it was slow, id make sure to attack when i knew it was safe, really adds a lot of unnecessary complications during the fight tho😅 but no worries about not doing it without taking damage🫡 what matters is that you beat those suckers and had fun doing do🫡 and glad to hear i was of some help :)

This fight was ten times easier than one oggdo boggdo. And yes the cross guard stance is still slow and ass, and yes it’s still my favorite.
Definitely way easier than double oggdos🙆♂️ and crossguard is one of the best stances🫡

Oh wow fantastic gameplay, the ending was painful🥲 what i did was when i was in the animation and after i killed one, i would hold block to stop any attacks, if hes about to stomp, you have enough time to jump away if you have the reaction time. But ur so close, u easily got this 🫡

Couple hours, most of it was learnt in my first playthrough🫡
The only thing that kills me are the grab attacks I find they both like to do it at the same time...a lot. Same with duo oggdos which I beat.
Ye those moments are very rng, u either get lucky or get absolutely decimated🥲no in between
Pure insanity on GrandMaster ngl, not to mention my last perk slot is bugged I didn't get the 10th unfortunately so I'm only using 9 slots..this game has been very good, but extremely buggy to my surprise..lots of content so little polish unfortunately. Anyways nice vid bro!

Idk how you would find it easier though, I had an issue here where sometimes I was dodging one rancor grab to only end up in another or some bs. Took me about an hour and a half to beat this on Grandmaster.
Hiur and a half is a great time to beat them on grandmaster 🫡good job man

You totally should of gotten hit at 0:14 either from the grab or the other one. I got killed once from this fight because the 3 of us were in a line, me at the edge, rancor 1 infront of me, rancor 2 in the middle. Rancor 2 does the charge grab and rushes me, never actually gets to me, but somehow manages to reach between rancor 1's legs to grab me. Even the game thought it was a wtf moment cause I didn't get the usual grab death animation, rather I'm lifted into the air by something invisible and then dead.
That has happens to be a few times xd the invisible glitch looks so funny 😂 all u gotta do is dodge about half a second before the grab u, anything too early is a grab🥲

Rancors are definitely easier, go for that one first maybe 🤔
Toads are easy. You can cheese them with blaster stance. Every charged shot stuns them.

How is it that you dont get grabbed and you can clearly see him get close to you. But when i was doing it i was nowhere near him and i still get grabbed.
Timing and positioning 🫡 dodge about half a second before they grab u, works about 95% of the time
