We look at different components that are under the bonnet in a modern EV car.
Hello from Kazakhstan! We have this model sold under the Chinese name Yuan Plus. A wonderful car!
So great to hear that I have viewers from Kazakhstan:)
Hi Chris, I really like your videos. They are different and teach useful things. Please check your links on the description are broken.
Hi thanks for the notice. I had to change my store name its now www.evpartz.online
Hi Chris. Thanks for this video. If you ever do get the gas struts for the bonnet, please do a video on it. I didn't know that was possible for the BYD Atto 3.
Kinda wandering, the Seal has a frunk while Atto3 does not. Does it mean those two have diff. architectures?
Atto 3 in China has a frunk maybe cost cutting.😃
Did your byd comes with the felt cover on the powertrain domain controller (AC to DC converter). Mine doesn't comes with it. Kept me wondering why.
Yes all the Australian ones which are single phase charging have this felt. From what I can tell 3 phase charging models do not have this or don't have the felt cover.
Hey Chris, I have a red Atto 3 in Perth and you should note that they completely half arse the paint job. My engine bay is pink from lack of paint and has patches that are completely unpainted and of course not a shred of clear coat inside. Pretty dissapointing in my opinion.
Hi, yes I've noticed even the white has very unfinished paint work under the bonnet 😂
Probably a batch problem, the paint job on mine is very good all over.
Hi Chris, have you disconnected the artificial sound generator for low speed driving?
yes I have. it's so much better.
That's the pedestrian warning system, an important safety device. It should be illegal to disconnect to disconnect safety devices provided by the manufacturer without getting the vehicle recertified.
Even though red letter law may not have caught up with this yet, if you do disconnect and have misfortune to hit a pedestrian (in this context I think children in car parks) you would very likely not be covered by insurance and be personally liable for any injuries caused. Say farewell to your car and likely your house as well.
In the most egregious case where you deliberately disable a safety system leading to a death, it would likely be manslaughter leading to a couple of years in pokey.
Wher is ac filter??!
It's under the glove box.
