  • I've made a short video to explain about an MPPT maximum peak power tracking and understanding the basics what you can do.

    hi keith, if i use my old 250watt panels on 1 MPPT and 550watt panels on the second MPPT will the 550watts be reduced? on the 5kw sunsynk

    Hi Keith, does this apply to the 10,400W maximum DC power on the inverter as well?

    Thank you for a great video. So does that mean you can connect 72 545 watt panels to 2 Sunsync 8kw inverters with four MPPT's? two stings in of 9 panels connected in series connected in parallel to one MPPT times four?

    Very useful, I am asking for you to draw or sketch out a wind turbine setup to sunsynk inverter. Thanks

    I'm getting very poor output from my 7s string, problem is that during winter the shadow creeps up and shades one panel, my output drops to 111w out of the possible 2kw. Surely the mppt is tracking the local Max and not the global Max. Do these mppts have logic that can deal with one shaded panel?

  • @anitahabermann-noteboom6630

    Can i use 36 solar panels with 13,11A max power current (Jinko 420 wp) on this inverter 12k? The dataheet tells me that 13A is the max.

    Good day Keith
    There is one major concern about the MPPT's of the Sunsynk inverter that is still not clear.
    Let's say we stay well in the input voltage spec, but connect many parallel solar strings together that are able to supply much more current than the MPPT input rating. Is the MPPT intelligent enough to limit/regulate the current at the maximum of 18A or will it destroy itself by overcurrent?

    Thanks for the video, I'm still not sure if the 480v is per string or only half that can go into each string or say 200 & 280 to make it upto 480v max?
    Thanks Jamie

    Thanks - I have always wondered about two aspects - 1. if the panels are in full sun eg 2,4kw possible , but mppt is only drawing 400 watts then where does the excess energy go. 2. how does the mppt adjust its input impedance i.e R in your video

  • @muhammadrizqikurniawan7935

    I have 8kva sunsynk with 10kwp panel, but I need to expand panel capacity to 15kwp for battery charging for night load. The question is can I combine sunsynk hybrid inverter with other brand mppt, to expand charging capacity. Thanks alot

    Hi Keith. I want to install 10 x 660W panels. The VOC is 45,4V per panel making it 454V. Will this be okay for the MPPT of the 8kW SS Inverter? Max DC is 500V? Factoring in cold weather, will this still be okay as it might add additional voltage over the 10panels…South Africa does not go below zero degrees celcius

    • @MrSummitville
      @MrSummitville Před 10 měsíci

      Do the math and calculate Max Voc in cold weather. I would *not* use 10 panels in Series.

    What's the max wattage for the MPPTs on the 12KW 3 phase inverter knowing that it has max of 26A for MPPT1 and 13A for MPPT2? I am unable to find this information on the forum. My end-goal is to connect 12*540W in parallel to each of the MPPTs.

      Hi Johhny. Just need some advice. I am about to connect the same amount of panels. Did this setup work on your 3 phase 12Kw Sunsynk. Just worried that my amps will be too high on the 2 strings. Hope you can help. Regards. Alwyn Viljoen

    Hi. When installing a 5kw inverter unit is it necessary to pre charge the battery input on the inverter before connecting the battery to the inverter?

    can we connect two mppt solar charger controllers to the same solar array ?
    This is because i have one mppt that works on grid when i have the grid power and then I have another mppt which charges my battery with solar array when there is no grid .

    What's the maximum open circuit panel current on sunsynk inverters. The spec sheets aren't very clear on this. This is critical in the face of emerging high current bifacial panels.

    • @sunsynk
      @sunsynk  Před 3 lety

      The mppt max voltage is 480v?, max wattage per mppt is 5kw current will vary depending on the voltage

    This should have been called "VOC explained". You never did explain MPPT, never even said what the acronym means, never said anything about it. I did learn about VOC though.

  • @hayzersolar
    @hayzersolar Před 11 měsíci

    voc is open circuit once it is connected to the charge controller it no longer has a open circuit. there is a load on it even if it is in float mode. so voc is not important the vmp is what we need to be worried about. That is the actual load if that is to high then issues.

    • @MrSummitville
      @MrSummitville Před 10 měsíci

      You are not 100% correct ... When you close the switch and connect the Solar Panels in sunlight, the MPPT input will see full Voc, until the MPPT logic pulls the voltage down. NEVER exceeding Voc is *extremely* important.

    • @hayzersolar
      @hayzersolar Před 10 měsíci

      that's does not make any since because I'm doing it right now have been for weeks. the voc is only for milliseconds not enought time to hurt anything that's where it not right. the amps is what we need to look at not voc. every device has a amp limit not a volt limit except mppt that makes no sense. its all a scam and people fall for it.@@MrSummitville

    • @lesliepieterse1072
      @lesliepieterse1072 Před 6 měsíci

      @@hayzersolar if your car has a 12V 50A battery then the radio in the car won`t have a problem, even if you get a bigger battery e.g 12V 100A your car radio wont blow up. It`s plain and simple. All they say with inverters is that max voc should be in total on 5Kw inverter about 450V multiplied by amps should not exceed 5000 watts.

  • @MrSummitville
    @MrSummitville Před 10 měsíci +1

    You are an extremely poor communicator. You *NEVER* explained what "MPPT" is. You actually explainef what "Voc", but very poorly. The Voc of a panel is more like 0.667 volts per cell. Not 0.6 v. That extra 10% makes a huge difference. You should have you someone review your script *BEFORE* making another vidreo.
