  • Euronymphing with real life situations is my try to make this outstanding technique closer to new comers and maybe to share a tip or two with more experienced anglers.
    You will see how i do it plus few tips how to adapt your dry fly rod into a nymphing one. Sometimes being able to change makes all the difference and having couple of aces up the sleeve can help too.
    There is some theory in the video but it's backed up with fishing examples....
    i hope you will find it interesting.
    The idea to make such video came from a friend the owner of frostyfly.com/
    So check out his website to see if there is anything there for you....there is for sure :)
    Thank you all for watching
    Keep safe, cheers
    Vladimir

      Unlike browns and rainbows.... Lenoks are much better at camouflage so its common to sight fish for them.. But its still fun

    This sort of water is where this technique really shines. Those Chinese trout are lovely. Relatively cheap place to travel once you are there I guess? Do they charge for access or can you rove around at will?

    • @Oholisfliesandfishing
      @Oholisfliesandfishing  Před 3 lety

      Its relatively cheap considering its 1550km away from me.... And its amazing.... U can also use dry fly all day long too. I made few videos just from the footage of one trip. It was amazing.... Most time more than 100fish per day
      We stay in the village, so by staying with locals we get to fish the river....

    How do you get to stop your dropper fly from twisting ,

    • @Oholisfliesandfishing
      @Oholisfliesandfishing  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks 😃😃😃
      I mostly use 1 fly... I dont like using two. Mainly i do it in competitions.... There is a way of tying dropper with double or triple surgeons knot and then tag halfhitch around main line.... But i dont do that.... Evwry once in a while i just let it untwist hanging freely...
      I use two flies in few cases.... If i need to get deep with small fly... Or if i need to go super deep.... Prior to going with two i would try thinner tippet or longer....

    • @Oholisfliesandfishing
      @Oholisfliesandfishing  Před 3 lety +2

      @@Petergoneflyfishing thanks 😃😃, when it comes to casting.... Either try the normal casting but with allowing fly to make a thug when it streightens out, this will make better load of the rod.... Which is not real load but still it can make a decent cast. Other way would be to let flies behind you touch the water to make your rod load better.... This touching spot has to be nearly or exactly 180 degrees away from your target....
      Third is to use heavy flies and cast more or less like you would cast a lure.
      Hope this makes sense?
