This new 5 thoughts series and your podcasts are great for keeping up date with what's going on in the league and of course your more in depth player profiles and discussions are in the upper echelon of basketball content on the internet. Oh he is! The king is balling and looks as great as ever even if his game has changed and evolved a lot since his Miami/Cleveland absolute prime days!
He's my last favorite because of the flopping, being a drama queen, always having to get his way, having to have two other stars to win a championship, and lack of defense but I have to give him props. This year he is playing D and playing amazing ball.
Myself being a Toronto fan I’ve always had a bad taste in my mouth when it comes to LeBron , but I have to give him props, he’s playing defence and putting up numbers , MVP level? Maybe not, you’ve got Harden ,Giannis and I would even put luka (offensively) in the conversation at this point , but then again it is way to early to be making a call for mvp

As a Hawks fan, I was exuberant when I saw they drafted Luka and then I was crestfallen when I saw news of the trade.
Seeing Luka's current GOAT level of play has reawakened the bitterness and self-loathing that most Atlanta sports fans are familiar with.

@@santisembe1229 Gobert definitely had a game where he made Giannis play poorly. And then their second game of the year, Giannis came with the fury and Gobert was trying to flop all game if I remember correctly n got in foul trouble. Two great players, trading blows.

Wow! Utah Jazz defensive rotation and coverage was so great. No coach can ask for a better defense than that.
Rose need to play for a contender and keep investing in keeping his body strong. He could be a threat on a playoff team coming off the bench.

Speaking of Leonard, do you think he is injured? I've watched almost every clippers game and what I've noticed is that he seems slower and less explosive than last year. He is not able to pass defenders and can't create enough separation from them. Another thing I've noticed is that he is shooting very bad from 3 and all his shots are short, meaning he is not pushing on his knees. I think he still needs to recover from the last playoffs where he get hurt against the Bucks. I hope he gets better soon.

It impressed me seeing how Utah defended the Bucks in the first half of the game. As you showed in the video it requires a team effort to successfully limit Giannis offensive game!
I think it's kinda problematic how moreyball doesn't consider broadening the team shot selection when the opposition defense successfully stop your shots close to the rim - imo this is one of the biggest weaknesses of moreyball as a system!
For this reason I simply don't trust moreyball in the playoffs... I hope the Bucks try to expand their shot selection otherwise I just can't see them defeating elite teams with strong defenses in the playoffs!
1. Young is improving his O but he definitely needs to improve his defense
2. BI will have a better season in the Pels than in any he played in LA, he won´t have the same pressure and will have more playtime and more control over the ball
3. Giannis is improving his shooting but it is not enough if he truly wants to succeed in the playoffs
4. Nunn has a great shoot at ROTY but that will be difficult with Ja Morant and maybe Zion
5. I´m glad for DRose, he is playing great as 6th man
Please do a video discussing how Tatum leads the league in plus minus, even though he is in a shooting slump.
Just a few additional thoughts: Do you think perhaps, maybe, potentially Giannis gets fouled and the refs don't happen to call a tiny amount of this small number of fouls in some games? Do you think that in this highlight block where Giannis "had no chance", it is possible than he had Gobert's left hand first hack his forearm and then grab his shoulder to pull him downwards?

Trae was a potential bust according to a lot of experts but has been a great playmaker so far and is shooting better than last season.
