I'm 68 but this 70s compilation has made me feel like a 20 year old again! I can't help but bop around to the beat! So many of these songs take me back to particular places and the people I was with at that time. Better than any blood pressure pills or statins!
I came from the book Undivided. Hayden used the song for his broadcast and I wanted to hear how the song actually sounded. I never expected it to come from Frank Sinatra! He's very talented, and makes everything better.
Me too I always imagined it some haunting, siren-voiced female singer. Not upbeat sinatra. But somehow it makes it so much more perfect. With the lyrics, the tone, the voice, and hayden too
His best song/rendition ever. Not forgetting Nelson Riddle A timeless classic My granddaughter(7) knows everyword. Now that proves how class is timeless.
Sinatra and Riddle set the bar so high with this amazing recording. Everything about it is simply awesome. As I type my shoulders are swinging along with this estimable pair. A true classic performance.
Imagine hearing this coming from a freezer inside a wendy's at 3 am that's seeping yellow poisonous gas and sounding rattling chains Yes, very soothing
No you are not the only one and I''m not even aware of any association with some kids' comic book character. This record is noted as being one of the most apocalyptic records of all time. The arranger Nelson Riddle when asked how he felt said he was just pleased it worked as he finished writing the arrangement in a cab on the way to the recording session. :)
The definitive version. Frank Sinatra has owned this song from the moment he recorded it. Not done at Reprise, but at Capitol in '56. Others have sung it, but they're breaching a holy grail.
I was playing Batman: Arkham Knight and I ended up liking the Jazz song at the start when you cremate The Joker I’ve been searching for this song for like, 3 weeks
Frank Sinatra sounds like an angel. I'm just a teen but I love this sort of old-fashioned city style of music. It's so much better than all the songs about butts and partying nowadays
The fact that you think all music nowadays is about "butts an partying" shows you haven't made the effort to look past the mainstream hip hop garbage and actually look for good artists this generation. You're not special for listening to old fashion music.
pyramidhead13579 There is certainly some great stuff coming out of less mainstream music production companies. But the stuff on the popular radio, I think it's fair to say that.
Every year my neighbor would bring in the spring with a whole weekend of Sinatra on blast for the whole block to enjoy Those were the good ole days living in NYC
Being in a pandemic makes you remeber all of the good times that you took for granted and while I was looking back on the past I remeberd my grandparents big 50th aniversaery party. This was their song and all of their kids were up on stage singing it while they danced around all of the tables and everyone cheering. It's such a good happy song.
NRAman 1776 Elvis was incredible. It really gets downplayed because he’s been dead now almost longer than he was alive so now he’s been fully dehumanized and massively merchandised and people view him more like a logo, mascot or brand than an actual person, but he was something truly special. So was Sinatra.
SOIBand but it's still more enjoyable when you're able to relate the song to a great game. The lyrics themselves even have another meaning in relation to Arkham Knight.
Merely the best combinations of music and arranging ever by two geniuses, Frank and Nelson. Cannot hear it enough and the lyrics ain't bad either. Wow, simply the best ever!!!

Once my parents were playing cards with a few couples, he goes to the record player to re-play a trombone solo. My Mom (Fran( is gasping "Oh, Frank!" while their daughter has that same music DNA. Wait, stop! You gotta hear this.! I love what you're doing reacting in your 20s. I dug my brother's records in second grade, listened to my Dad's Billie Holliday, Duke Ellington as I grew up, Mom's Dean Martin, then just keep listening. I say it's never too early or too late, and it sure brings people together! Thank-you!
The joker is special. he has 2 Sinatra songs as themes. this and thats life
Jack_The_Masochist_Kelly MMA what’s the other one ??

I've got you under my skin
I've got you deep in the heart of me
So deep in my heart that you're really a part of me
I've got you under my skin
I'd tried so not to give in
I said to myself this affair never will go so well
But why should I try to resist when baby I know so well
I've got you under my skin
I'd sacrifice anything come what might
For the sake of having you near
In spite of a warning voice that comes in the night
And repeats, repeats in my ear
Don't you know little fool
You never can win
Use your mentality, wake up to reality
But each time I do just the thought of you
Makes me stop before I begin
Because I've got you under my skin
I would sacrifice anything come what might
For the sake of having you near
In spite of the warning voice that comes in the night
And repeats how it yells in my ear
Don't you know little fool
You never can win
Why not use your mentality
Step up, wake up to reality
And each time I do just the thought of you
Makes me stop just before I begin
Because I've got you under my skin
yes I got you under my skin.

Perfect combo of Riddle's orchestration , Bernharts Bone solo and Frank's voice. Possibly the best track of the 50s
I'm 68 but this 70s compilation has made me feel like a 20 year old again! I can't help but bop around to the beat! So many of these songs take me back to particular places and the people I was with at that time. Better than any blood pressure pills or statins!
Batman fans here, Joker fans over at that's life
@Tanah Fly Me To The Moon is one of my favorites but Tik Tok bombarded that as well
@@shockcannoli122 bro, nothing can ruin that song.
@@huss2600 Ah true comment changed ;)
Tanah absolutely mate
Shock Cannoli I haven’t heard it on tiktok
I came from the book Undivided. Hayden used the song for his broadcast and I wanted to hear how the song actually sounded. I never expected it to come from Frank Sinatra! He's very talented, and makes everything better.
Me too I always imagined it some haunting, siren-voiced female singer. Not upbeat sinatra. But somehow it makes it so much more perfect. With the lyrics, the tone, the voice, and hayden too
hiii, me too😆
Frank, you're under my skin too...❤
His best song/rendition ever.
Batman: Arkham Knight features this masterpiece!

...am I the only one who knows this because of Sinatra and not because of Batman?
No you are not the only one and I''m not even aware of any association with some kids' comic book character. This record is noted as being one of the most apocalyptic records of all time. The arranger Nelson Riddle when asked how he felt said he was just pleased it worked as he finished writing the arrangement in a cab on the way to the recording session. :)
BECAUSE I'M BATMAN!!
omg theres a sinatra song in batman .. ???
yes there's one in batman arkham knight at the beginning when the Joker is burning
Nope.
Someone somewhere is hearing this for the first time, aren't they so lucky.
The definitive version. Frank Sinatra has owned this song from the moment he recorded it. Not done at Reprise, but at Capitol in '56. Others have sung it, but they're breaching a holy grail.
I think this version was one of the definitive Sinatra recordings: you never get tired of it.
@@None-zc5vg Never tire of ANY Sinatra recording (except maybe New York, NY, lol. Never cared for it. But he owns that, too!).
Who else is listening to this great song in 2021😁
I am. Right now.
Remigio Melecio crazy
Frank Sinatra is timeless. Be expecting maybe 2020 children to follow
Salad_T yup

When Gotham falls, at least there's one song to listen too as it all burns.
Best Batman music from Arkham Knight.
Can't get this song out my head.
So smooth
Guess you could say it’s under your skin
I was playing Batman: Arkham Knight and I ended up liking the Jazz song at the start when you cremate The Joker
I’ve been searching for this song for like, 3 weeks
You can just search a few words from almost any song and the lyrics will come up with the name of the song

Frank Sinatra sounds like an angel. I'm just a teen but I love this sort of old-fashioned city style of music. It's so much better than all the songs about butts and partying nowadays
Yep
The fact that you think all music nowadays is about "butts an partying" shows you haven't made the effort to look past the mainstream hip hop garbage and actually look for good artists this generation. You're not special for listening to old fashion music.
pyramidhead13579 There is certainly some great stuff coming out of less mainstream music production companies. But the stuff on the popular radio, I think it's fair to say that.
This song is still very blatantly about sex
Yes they are because there is nothing today compared to Sinatra, Elvis, Beatles, or Stones.
Perfection ❤️ he was the Master. I'm 73 and when I want to hear perfection I listen to this song. Thank you mom and dad😍
arkham knight is one of the best batman games ive ever played
Agreed.
Every year my neighbor would bring in the spring with a whole weekend of Sinatra on blast for the whole block to enjoy
Those were the good ole days living in NYC
Wish ppl where I live in in nyc would play good music like this instead of shitty ass Dominican rap
One of the great orchestral arrangements of all time by Nelson Riddle. When his orchestra first played it, they stood up and applauded him.
Frank probably never read a single batman comic, but this song actually perfectly describes batman and joker's dichotomy.
I would consider Mr.Sinatra as one of the best entertainers of all time.
Matt Larson I agree
Yes one of but I firmly believe Elvis was THE best singer/entertainer that’s ever lived
NRAman 1776 due to my taste of music, I rank Sinatra over Presley. I do not care much for his style at the moment
Matt Larson he is not one.He is the ONLY one
NRAman 1776 Elvis was incredible. It really gets downplayed because he’s been dead now almost longer than he was alive so now he’s been fully dehumanized and massively merchandised and people view him more like a logo, mascot or brand than an actual person, but he was something truly special. So was Sinatra.
My Dads' favourite singer - superb, just superb. Brilliant orchestration/arrangement by Nelson Riddle too.
I thought it was Henry Mancini.
I'll be covering this Sinatra great at an outdoor gig next week. So glad that the concert venues are starting to open up for all involved. YAY!
How can people dislike such a masterpiece of art 🤦♂️
Because some people listen to Bieber 💀
magnifica

TREMENDO ARTISTA
Best music ever!! You only have to know & appreciate quality music & big band sound!!
This must be played very loud!!!!! Riddle' orchestration is incredible, especially the shout portion.
Agreed: Riddle was really on the ball in this recording.
Now that’s music
no , i am not here because of batman. I am here because i love sinatra
SOIBand I'm here for both
anonymous killamonjaromon fair enough. everyone should be able to enjoy this.
SOIBand but it's still more enjoyable when you're able to relate the song to a great game. The lyrics themselves even have another meaning in relation to Arkham Knight.
anonymous killamonjaromon I believe you and i´ve seen this scene. I think if it brings people to timeless classic jazz and swing, its a good thing
I was lost with the video game talk. I love this mans music and #oldsoul
Another Great Frank Song...
This tune with this "saloon singer" is in the top 3 pop/big-band tunes in the history of music. Play it at my memorial.

Merely the best combinations of music and arranging ever by two geniuses, Frank and Nelson.
