Dylan and Eric, These 2 sons of bitches inspired a school shooting that occurred in Torreón México by a boy of only 12 years old! To that degree these problems and social networks can influence a small child to injure 6 children, kill his teacher and finally commit suicide.

@@rcchristian2 As soon as the Dunblane massacre killed a class of 5-6 year old's, the UK government banned hand guns. It's a step in the right direction but they need to remove assault rifles too. New Zealand has just passed a law banning the AR15 which is an even bigger move in the right direction. A lot of Americans are hooked in the 2nd amendment which was written when fire arms meant a musket. The very least that could happen is mental health background checks before handing over a gun to just anyone.
I agree with you. But, it's as if it's nearly impossible to not recognize the killers more then the victims. More people want to know "Who and Where" rather then "Who are the victims and Why."

My friend literally wore a trench coat to school, and he was bullied relentlessly when he was younger, had a horrible family upbringing trauma, and depression. He still is one of my closest friends to this day. He never shot up his school or even thought of doing it, just a wore a trench coat to intimidate people and send a message. He was searched and called to the office for suspicious activity, but they didn't find anything. But yeah he might have thought about hurting his bullies at some point but never did. He low key is a genius in the sense that he used Psychological warfare to crush his enemies and break their spirits to make sure they never even thought of hurting him. And plus you can't really get in trouble for that, it's easier to cover your tracks if you know what you're doing. So yeah
Good advice from that last guy, Cossey. I'm glad he was caught before he could commit the act and was able to have success in therapy. Kids, don't allow anger and/or sadness to be bottled up, if you're going through stuff talk to your school concert, your parents, your best friend's parents, somebody you trust. You can get through these hardships.

The problem is that in America anyone can buy a gun, I live in Mexico and I am never afraid of a shooting there because in Mexico weapons are illegal unless you are a police officer or a military officer.

It wasn't just bullying. Bullying is an issue and shouldn't ignored, but it doesn't justify their actions. On top of that there was a ton of mental illness at play as well as their worship of Hitler and wanting to practice eugenics. If anything the adults around them should have picked up on the signs of mental illness as well as strange fascinations with murder and violence.
+UnchartedGamer Maybe some of it but being a Psycopath doesn't come from bullying. Bullying does some damage to the mind but not enough to cause Psychopathic behaviour. I never said bullying is okay or that it didn't have a part to play. But to blame immaturity on very well crafted and strategic murder is not logical. They showed signs of being mentally unstable and if the teachers and parents, the grown adults, had paid attention and done something then it may not have happened. If the stupid immature kids had not bullyed them it may not have happened. But it still comes down to the fact that these kids made a choice. They made the choice to target teens of color, immaturity, and Christianity. All I said was blaming the teachers for not stopping the bullying or the bullies them selves doesn't change the fact that they made the choice to murder innocent lives. I personally think the teachers should have listened to the red flags. You can't eliminate all bullying but you can pay attention to your students and if something is odd or wrong in your class. There were plenty of red flags. But again, in the end they made the choice and they should take the blame for their actions.
I am a senior right now and I think to myself every day any student could hurt me without knowing they have a gun or knife in their backpack.I know there is more safety In high schools now but this can happen anytime still.

It's only going to get worse inside the USA. While other countries don't face these issues, American's struggle to understand the cause. It's going to get worse, way before it gets better, until the american people wake up (which will probably not happen)
Imagine being a student during one of these shootings. Your friends are getting killed and since you are so young, you don’t really comprehend what’s happening. Truly chilling.
When I was in highschool I used to make soundcloud trap songs and I used the intro of this video as a sample and the school found out and I got in trouble. They also had to search my car and found weed which got me into even more trouble.
I remember hearing this when I was around ten. I was too young to understand. It wasn’t until today I came across a PSA from Sandy Hook Promise. I never thought about it, but it must be absolutely terrifying to go to school in the USA. If educating myself makes me appear on the ‘FBI Watch List’, so be it.
As someone who lives in the US,, Yeah it is terrifying sometimes. Especially in places with more violence. They even sell bullet-proof backpacks here for elementary school kids :/
@@oldironsides4107 Nobody around YOU is terrified to go to school. The Us is giant and there are places that have far more violence then wherever you may live. You weren't afraid when you were a kid because it wasn't happening all the time. Your kids aren't afraid as far as you are aware because, again, you probably don't live in an area with gun violence. The reason shootings didn't happen as much when you were young is most likely because there wasn't something like the Columbine shooting, which "inspired" other deranged people to start shooting up other schools. Sorry if that made no sense or if that was rambly btw. Just please don't assume that "No one is afraid" when I have talked to people and heard many horrible stories about the violence they encountered when they were in school !!
@@briiickiii3356 Back in the day, the media didn't glorify and worship psychopathy and narcissism. Now you see American culture is absolutely obsessed with it and actually rewards that behavior. Narcissism, self worship, this entitled idea that one's own self should dramatically impact all of society and the world around them, rather than seek happiness or live in harmony with a community or environment. The truth is that most of society was happier in the 20th century and overall more peaceful in the period 1945-1990. There was always violent crime, but ordinary people tended to separate themselves from criminals and their behavior, more black and white thinking. Now the lines have become so blurred, it's easy for people now to see more of themselves in even the worst of people. You just don't see this in a lot of other countries. Some have said it's their gun control laws but it isn't. The happiness index is much higher, access to good quality care, work-life balance for parents is better so more focus on their family and kids' well being, as well as less torment, neglect, and bullying prevalent in society in Canada and Australia for instance. Talking from personal experience having stayed for a time in both places. People are overall much less likely to commit crime against each other when other options make it easier for people to attain their needs.
Most parents aren't qualified to be teachers. Each teacher has an educational background in a certain field. There are exceptions to this but if more people are home schooled American society will continue to be dumbed down.
Damien Holland I homeschooled my kids with zero regrets. There are many resources to helo teach kids, and it us absolutely unnecessary to have a teaching certificate to be able to teach kids well. In fact, studies have shown that most homeschooled kids far excell in scholastic scores over public school kids. There are a number of colleges who actively recruit homeschoolers because of their proven academic excellence. My two daughters graduated with 4.0 scores from community college, then went on to graduate suma cum laude from Virginia Tech. The youngest got her undergrad from University of Tennessee, also suma cum laude. Look at public school statistics. Look at the scores, number of drop outs, and other problems in public schools. Our public schools have failed miserably and are in crisis.
The First Pharoah TV Spot on! I homeschooled my kids and have no regrets. Other homeschooled kids I know are confident, self-motivated, hard working, exceptional students, excelled in college.
4:50 sheds a ton of light. "When I heard these kids were bullied...that's why they did what they did." Bullying is the real culprit, I think. It triggers the fight-or-flight response. I was bullied as well when I was their age. I chose to flee rather than fight. In my heart-of-hearts, I really think bullying is what we need to stop. I don't know how (somebody smarter than me is going to have to figure that out). If we could just get American teenagers to stop bullying each other, I think incidents like this would decrease in a big way.

At 3:14 That's my highschool, I was there that day when Al Castillo 2:38 shot up Orange High School in Hillsborough North Carolina. I was in one of the classrooms to the left of the courtyard and my brother was in one to the right. Al Castillo was in my brothers class and the guy was always a bit off. It was lunch when Castillo walked into the courtyard shown in the picture 3:14 and started shooting randomly. Castillo was planning to do a lot more at the school after killing his father but Deputy "Doofy"(Ivy) held Castillo at gunpoint when his gun jammed and my driving instructor LeBlanc who used to be a state trooper tackled him. When they searched his vehicle they found a duffle bag full of pipe bombs. Some think he didn't want to kill anyone else at the school and just went there as a place to surrender after killing his father. They said he was military trained and could have easily killed more if he wanted to. I'm not sure how accurate that is, maybe he just wanted attention because he was never that popular and seemed like the kind of guy people would pick on. He was a year or so older than me so I didn't really know him that well. I feel bad for his sisters and what they had to go through.
I feel a bit afraid because I've seen a lot of kids having their mental issues getting real bad because of the lockdowns, and I feel like there might be a surge of shootings here because of that.
Damn at my school a guy took a live a grenade to school and showed it to everyone, I’m glad he didn’t pull the pin, he was expelled and is now allowed on campus ever again.
It’s weird that they look at Dylan as some victim in this almost. He was the first person out of the two to mention the idea of the school shooting in his journal. He was especially cruel during the shooting. What really disturbs me is thinking even if Eric was the “born psychopath” out of the two, he didn’t need just as much help. Ultimately they were both very disturbed. They both did the same act.
just like how bullying isn’t an excuse for them to do it. Who cares if they were bullied? So many people get bullied and struggle with mental health every day. And still, they don’t do something like this. There are other ways. Like fear and intimidation factors that don’t involve becoming a mass murderer or even harming others. It can literally just be a body language tactic to tell whoever is messing with you to F off. I know of and have heard plenty of people who have been bullied but would never even think to do this.
The thing is all of this happens because of bullying, teachers say that *if there is ever someone bullying you, come to us. But when we go to them they send us off and act like they did something but they really didn't.* I don't get it.
+Improvised Weaponry On my Tumblr I post pictures of cats and the vampire diaries. I think there are people who like to label themselves as feminists without knowing the actual meaning. I think there should be someone to speak up for mens rights too, they get abuse too, unfortunetly society has put a stigma on men (saying that they should be more manly) what exactly is 'manly?' so i think alot of men don't feel like they can speak out, which is ridiculous, and really sad
i definitely felt a wave of relief when i graduated high school last year. since i was in middle school, a lot of these shootings were happening everywhere and all of us were scared, right under the surface, of going to school because it seems to be happening everywhere, to anybody. rest in peace to the victims of these awful massacres 💔
I'm not wanting to brag on you or anything, but here I am at university, surrounded by full grown adults, and we have been receiving threats of mass shootings and knife crimes. We have to have more security policies and initiatives!
+deeagle From the readings that I have done the conspiracies that linger about Columbine mostly deal with other shooters and Eric's father's military Intel ties.
Well, there were enough witnesses to say that Eric and Dylan WERE a part of the killings. Whether or not there were others involved does not mean it did not happen.
Can you imagine if Eric and Dylan knew they would be this famous for what they did 24 years later? That’s the fkd part about it. They really did achieve what they wanted. Rot in pieces.
It doesn't happen only in USA. In April 17th 2011 a guy killed 12 students in Brazil and then killed himself. He had an account in a forum and he posted something like: "We're gonna have a massacre in a few days, Columbine style." No one took the guy serious, so he went to his school and did it.

Legalize Ranch Bad role models I agree. Don't give them too much attention, but focus on how they got there, what needs to be done differently. Less access to weapons, focus on bullying prevention and child protection, better access to mental health care.
+gartios11 actually, according to Dylan's journal, he didn't seem full of very much hate for quite some time. He was fairly poetic. It was only after while he'd started to get very depressed.
Higher injury count is better than high death count because it drains resources and is supposed to scare people more but people are dumb and only care about body count. 8 injured isn't as scary as 8 killed apparently
There was a 15 yr old taken to custody at a high school in a town not far from where I lived earlier today. He had a loaded semi automatic hand gun. This isn’t even the first time something like this has happened in my area. There have been several threats made at the middle school just up the street from me and there was one at the high school I went to a couple of months back. Apparently there was a small explosion in one of the bathrooms when the one took place at high school. I wish these schools would stop talking about bullying and actually do something about it. How much more of this is it going to take? Needless to say I’m very glad to have graduated in 2015.
All of these shooters obviously have mental problems, which could be helped before all of this even happened. It's so sad that they've been driven to doing something so awful.
Maybe the ones who are mad are the ones who just go along with the status quo getting fucked by the system. You'd need to be mad not to want to flip at the way the world is today. It's so unfair.
Absolutely not true. It's what the media wants us to believe, but it's not true. Kids have been bullied since Cain killed Abel, and those bullied didn't go on murderous rampages. Kids in my generation (Baby Boomers) and those prior to it were around guns from childhood. Many boys got rifles at age 8 or 10 and started hunting with their dads, so guns were easily accessible. Boys would even mount their rifles in the cab of their pickups and leave them there, even when they went to school. Kids who were bullied in those generations didn't go on shooting sprees! The problem is NOT bullying, and it is NOT GUNS. It is the removal of God from public and private life, and the breakdown of families, with so many boys growing up without a father. If you research the boys who did school shootings since Columbine, you'll see that a majority of them didn't have fathers in their homes, or their fathers were weak and unavailable. It's the same thing we see in gangs.

The very least that could happen is mental health background checks before handing over a gun to just anyone.

the reason why these shootings happen, is because the adults around them allow this bullying and torment to occur.
far be it for kids to grow a pair and stand up for themselves without someone having to do it for them. kids are over sensitive pussies these days, that's the real problem

Karen Natelle Callis Fuller im an atheist and I do agree that the threat that there is an existence of hell is enough to make people rethink their wrongdoings.
Sadly religion has way more downsides than it has advantages

Pro gamer tip: If you're being bullied, don't shoot up the school,
can you atleast aim for the bully instead?
Kinda the point, columbine wasn’t a targeted attack. While they hated bullies and has been picked on being bullied wasnt really the biggest motive
