Axillary nerve is passing 2 fingers breadth from acromion. Therefore, injection should be given a little lower than this level.

We inject in the muscle which is outside the bone. We do not inject in the bone. If muscle is very small in mass, it is better to avoid the arm and inject in buttock instead.

It just showed you basically... By selecting the correct site you will avoid the nerves. Inject in the middle of the deltoid and you won't hit the nerves.

Deltoid Muscle (Arm). If Deltoid is very small in size, like in very thin people, go for Gluteus Muscle (Buttock). Tetanus injection is also given in buttock, so that the pain that occurs later is less.
