Lucie's warm and down-to-earth demeanor is a credit to her and her parents. What a lovely woman.
I always enjoy Lucie interviews. She’s one of the best to listen to and comes across as open, honest, and down-to-earth. This one may be the best I’ve seen. Thanks for this!
A lot of people didn't like her moving the ashes back to Jamestown her Mom's hometown.I'm glad she did. But hey she reunited her mother Lucy with her father who died when Lucy was a small child. Lucie reunited her maternal grandparents with each other . I just see it as a Ball-Hunt family reunion and the headstone looks so better than that little niche and small marker. anyway Happy Birthday Lucie Arnaz-Luckinbill. I have I Love Lucy, The Lucy Show, Here's Lucy and the short lived Life with Lucy all on DVD.
She has gotten better looking as she aged. Beautiful. Love her hair natural.
I missed her tonight in NYC because I had another commitment. But I have to see her perform again sometime. I remember that she was in a B'way show a while back where she injured her leg or foot, and she could not dance. She did the show and let us know that when the dance number would start, her understudy would take over. She is an amazing person, who is a total delight to listen to. Her parents, despite their turmoil while she was a small child, despite them being so busy working, did a great job with raising her. And I always love to hear how her parents stayed friends and were even able to become closer in a way once they were no longer married and there were grandchildren. I once heard Gary Morton kiddingly refer to Desi as his "X-husband-in-law." 🙂
What an interview.
She is adorabl, and he is so involving and I could feel his words as he spoke. I feel like
I 'm a member of their family.
They are both incredible people.
The primary reason I have always adored Lucie Arnaz is because she has always “allowed us in” to her life and her own history. She never failed to be candid and never avoided discussing the pain. God bless this woman. Also, this was an outstanding interview.
@GeeBoggs I've always liked Lucie for pretty much the same reasons as you. She always keeps it real, but even when she speaks somewhat critically of her parents, her deep love for them still comes through. It's great to see that Lucie and Larry Luckinbill still have a warm, close relationship after all these years. God bless them!
You nailed it.
Lucie Arnaz is so polite, articulate, humane and pretty. She is a credit to her parents.
She's a credit to herself!
Lucy Arnaz danced with her mother on her show and the legend, Ginger Rogers. No other actress nor entertainer could ever say this except for maybe, Liza Minnelli.😊
I have heard SO many interviews with Lucy Arnaz, but I have never heard a more open and honest interview than this one. She holds nothing back and she's completely honest. Thank you. This is a treasure. A priceless interview. Thank you.
Lucie
100% agree.
She seems like a very together person I'm surprised considering her situation
@@leighewinson9473 I read a few books on Lucy and Dezi - for, whatever reason, and one thing became clear. Despite all the parents troubles, they worked very hard to give Lucy and Desi a normal life and not let that spill over.
This is her second interview with him
.that I know about......😊
I'd buy a book about you and your life and your thoughts and feelings and what youve experienced in life. The people who have helped shaped your life. We love Lucie too.
In 1972 I was lucky to have been having lunch in the Universal Studios commissary on my 11th birthday. My Big Brother, who took me, arranged for a cake slice and candle to be brought out for me. The wait staff sang happy birthday to me along with Lucie Arnaz who was sitting in a near by booth. Thank you Lucie! You made that birthday extra special.
Stunning interview ms Lucie Arnez has aged like fine wine
Dear Lucie, know that a lot of children have their parents around, and yet, they are absent while in the same room.
What a beautiful and lovely couple ❤ love lucie
From the time I was born, I grew up on I Love Lucy reruns. Watching them today is like putting a very soft, warm and comfy blanket around my shoulders and it makes me feel safe again. You know, that special safety that you only can feel as a child. Thank you Lucie for carrying on this wonderful tradition.
The gray hair is beautiful!! She is beautiful too!
Absolutely loved every minute of this! I could listen to Lucie talk all day! It was great to see her looking so well and to know that her brother is doing well also. She and her husband are so dear together. Their book projects sound wonderful, looking forward to getting them. Thanks for a very special interview!
Thank you Teresa - glad you enjoyed our conversation with Lucie.
Thouroughly enjoyed this interview. I cannot wait to read Desi's book again! I so enjoyed it the first time, and welcome the addition of new material. Thank you Lucie for reissuing.
Lucie, I was in Hollywood in '79 when you were filming a scene from The jazz singer. I think it was a parking lot next to a bank and we're standing there watching you get in and out of a car when your mailman walks by in his everyday clothes and you shout for him and you come out to the sidewalk, call him over and chat with him for a while. Well he came and stood next to us afterwards and we chatted with him and 17 year old me asked him if he could get me your autograph which he gladly did and which I still have to this day (want to see it?). So I want to thank you for that. And I think this little story also shows something about you. You were at work I believe with Neil diamond and you interrupted it to say hello to the man that brought you your mail everyday. He walked right by you. It was you that spotted him.
Lucie is amazing
Lucy Arnaz is such a lovely, pleasant down to earth person.
What an enlightening conversation. Craig, you need your own TV interview show chatting with these legends.
I could listen to Lucie all day.
That's so awesome that Desi's book will be reissued. I wonder if there is a chance that the writing he started on a second book will be included? I love the first book so much. We haven't been to the comedy center yet but have been to Jamestown three times. The video makes me want to go a fourth time. For those who have never seen a Lucie cabaret show, go! She's fabulous!
Well she has it, whatever her parents had she has. She speaks and you just want to hear everything she has to say!! I just adore her and her sweet husband! Thank you Lucie for doing this!! Hey, maybe we can get Desi Jr to do an interview one day!❤
Exactly!!
Lucie Arnaz is so straightforward, honest, funny and fearless! She's amazing. Thank you, Craig, for the brilliant interview. Lucie paid you the ultimate compliment at the end, and she certainly wouldn't have said anything insincere.
45 years together completely radiates from this interview. TRUE LOVE at its best. :)
Lucie, appears always as an open, real, unspoiled talent and still is working as hard as her parents did; like her famous parents, who still I watch almost daily, is my most favourite show, I Love Lucy that brings me into a loving safe space.
I love LUCIE!!!
She has always been open and honest and real!!! And FUNNY!!!
And she sings great!
Lucie Arnaz is the absolute best keeper of her parents legacy. She is extremely well spoken and so relatable. Even though most of us did not grow up in that world, she is like our sherpa , intelligently and with kindness guiding us through her life with them 'warts and all' as she puts it.
It is so refreshing to see a Hollywood kid not bashing their parents.
What a FANTASTIC INTERVIEW!! I could literally listen to her and her stories for an entire month!! Thank you for posting this gem - it truthfully belongs in the National Archives!
Thanks for listening
I loved LUCY.......but, I LOVE LUCIE!!!! you are the brightest gem your parents could have left us....lovely, beautiful lady!!!!
So true!
This is awesome. I'd love to see her and her brother together in an interview one day
She hardly ages. Still so beautiful.
She looks like her father. You look amazing.
I’ve always liked Lucie. She’s so open and friendly. Loved her mom and dad too.
Love her. She’s so real and open. Beautiful as well.
What a delightful video. Lucie Arnaz is absolutely amazing. She has a wonderful personality and tells great stories. I know it is supposed to be about her mother Lucy but I love Lucie.
I have watched a few interviews with Lucie and consistently appreciate how very down to earth and relatable she is. Loved this!❤
Lucie, PLEASE write your book! We love you. We need it.
Best interview of Lucy Arnaz ever. I'm sure it has a lot to do with the interviewer. A great job all around. I've heard so many things I've hadn't heard before.
I’m gotta say, Lucie Arnaz comes across as a down-to-earth, sincere individual. Considering she would be regarded as Hollywood royalty I still feel I could have an enjoyable conversation with her about anything. It’s a testament to her staying real, grounded and pursuing her joy of acting.
Her natural hair color is so very glam and becoming.
Craig does such an excellent job. His knowledge is always vast and he conveys such warmth to his guests.
She hit the DNA jackpot, she's an amazing human being. ❤
good to see you Lucie, never really hear about you so was good seeing you!!!
Lucie is soooo adorable.
A kind and classy lady also she answered my fan mail for my Mom and personalized the photograph a Generous woman! Thank you
Craig Bennett does it again. 🎉🎉 What a brilliant interview. Have watched many with Lucie Arnaz as I adore her. This is the best yet! Bravo to you both. And lovely to meet her husband. Have ordered his book. ❤

What a joy Lucie is.
Loved the interview! Lucie is such an articulate, intelligent, open, and beautiful person who has an amazing memory.
Dear Lucy, I 80 . Leave an open spot for good people to say yes! I agree! You can keep going! This has been a delight of your own personal life. 😊
Love the stories! Lucie never disappoints - she always seems so centered, intelligent and grateful.
What a totally gorgeous and loveable lady
What genuine and real people Lucy and Larry are and Craig, your interviewing skills are exceptional. Thank you for the post.
Ms. Arnaz is and always has been the epitome of professionalism and love for her parents and their classic sitcom. She always speaks so eloquently and fondly of a legacy in which she had no choice but to be part of. She is an amazing performer in her own right and I appreciate how much I can see both her parents shine in her talent.
I Love Lucy like the rest of the world, but I also Love Lucie for everything she has contributed to the world of entertainment. Thank you Ms. Arnaz!!
I love Lucie so much. I still watch I Love Lucy and The Lucy Shows to this day and still laugh at all the amazing things they did. Those shows are priceless. Thank you, Lucie for an amazing interview.
I adored ILove Lucy…..wasn’t in school yet so grandma would give me a carrot for a snack and I would watch before lunch. Loved her all through out my years and still do.
We do repeat the shows.and still enjoy the episodes that bought many of us togetherness.
Many thanks to Craig, Kelley, Lucie and Laurence! 🤩
Thank you auntvesuvi3872!
@@celebritydrop You're so welcome! 🪷
Stunning, stunning interview. Lucie Arnaz is so expressive and articulate. Am in NYC, have booked to see Miss Arnaz at 54 Below. Can’t wait ❤❤❤
This was a delightful interview. I purchased tickets for October in MI, I can’t wait! I’m with Larry and you….Lucie has an incredible story about her own accomplishments and life experiences that people would love to hear about.
Absolutely loved this interview! I loved I Love Lucy when I was young because Desi Arnaz reminded me of my own father, who was always traveling at the time. Always appreciate that Lucie is half Cuban, like me. There’s a rhythm to life and certain sense of humor that is unique to that culture and mix. 😊❤
👍 I LOVE The Jazz Singer!!! And I think Neil Diamond, and everyone, did a wonderful job!!!
Lucie looks absolutely stunning! Great to see her; wonderful interview!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Always loved watching I Love Lucy and Desi arnaz and Lucille Ball shows
Larry is on que with the performance that Lucie does. The story she tells and then the singing is fabulous! Love it!
can't wait for the reissue of "A Book" by Desi Arnaz. I have a paperback copy released in 1977 signed in person by Desi
Hi Lucie you a great person I could I love Lucy and all the lucy shows every day that don’t get borrowed of it I love your parent they great and Vivian Vance and William frawley they great and gale gorden .
I grew up with I Love Lucy. That show sticks in my mind, more then any other of the time? Lucie Arnez you are Hollywood Royalty. I love how you keep your beautiful parents memories so alive. Thank you for keeping them alive in our memories. 🙏🏼💗💐
Gary M. sounds so very well grounded.
I am surprised that she said nothing about Buster Keaton who designed the set and the three camera system.
He told Lucy, his protege from their MGM days, to put their show on film and tour in Vaudeville, to make their uncommon alliance look usual.
They had a wonderful act and the audiences around the nation were on board with them as a beloved couple.
Buster directed the first several episodes and both Desi and Lucy, being the veterans of the studios, they were able to make one of the most successful shows in the history of television.
The way it evolved from the radio show, My Favorite Wife to
I Love Lucy speaks volumes about collaboration and ensemble effort in creative comedy.
It is really a lesson we need to relearn in this day and age.
Lucie Arnaz is charming. I have so much love and respect for her. And Laurence Luckinbill is wonderful. I can't wait to read his book. This interview was a real treat to see. Thank you!
Absolutely great interview! ❤ Lucie Arnaz looks fantastic and seems like a fun down-to- earth person!
What a lovely intelligent woman!
You look gorgeous, Lucie! YOUNG!! 🎉
Awsome interview. I love Both Lucy and Lucie. All the Best. You are a terrific life story. Thank you for sharing. Write the memoir.❤
I love her she is so her Mom and I can see Lucy's humor and Ricky's brains. She got both of the best of their looks. She's exciting and pleasant.
Wonderful interview, both lucie and her husband ❤ are just wonderful ❤ a very honest interview so candid and truthful god bless them and their 👪 family
Here’s how I know Luci Arnaz is genuine……EVERYBODY does an impersonation of their own mother and she did it during the story about the burned eggplant. It made me think of myself or husband…or any other number of friends that do this and I related instantly. I freaking died when I heard that part. Love this!
If I see Lucie Arnaz being interviewed....I watch! This was a fascinating interview and glad you had Larry on, too. I also enjoyed the photos and video clips you included. BRAVO! 👏
Glad you enjoyed it!
Lucy Arnaz, you look fabulous and you are a lovely person. I absolutely loved the Lucy Shows.
I’m so in love with Lucille ball , I named my 2nd daughter middle name after her. And the more interviews I watch of lucie the more in love I am of her too 😭 what a beautiful woman ❤ I can’t meet Lucille ball on earth one day but I hope I can meet lucie one day 🤞🏾

I Love Lucie she don't hold back tells the truth great entertainer
she looks great for her age
Noooo ... she just looks GREAT at any age!
I always love, love to listen to Lucie.....❤.....
Really enjoyed this interview. Never really gave Lucie Arnaz much thought other than that she was “just” the offspring of two famous people. But I was really impressed with her here (and with her husband too) and hope to see her live in performance sometime in the future. In my mind at least, a new star is born.
A beautiful classy talented lady lucie really enjoyed this interview and what a treat to see Larry and Lucie here just lovely they are Ty for sharing 👏🇨🇦👏
Miss Lucie you look AMAZING!! Well Done!! Richy In Pismo.. The parents are looking down on you with great pride. 😇😇

Lucie, thank God for you. You are a beautiful talented woman. ❤❤ You have expanded the legacy of your parents. What an amazing interview. This was like sitting with friends!
I was fortunate to see her twice and my one and only at the Ahmanson theater in Los Angeles. She was fantastic as a superb singer and dancer.
This is a fantastic interview. I just about cried when Lucie talked about Sir Laurence Olivier. I am also excited to read Larry's book, and hope Lucie decides to write hers. I want to read all about her career in theatre and singing.
Lucy Arnaz is truly, American celebrity, royalty. I think it's about time someone create a great show for her to live out hers and her parents, legacy. I love Lucy and, Lucy.😊
An absolutely wonderful interview❣Thank you, ALL....and God bless you❣
I have seen dozens and dozens of interviews with Lucie Arnaz. This is the best one. And the icing on the cake was the joint portion of the interview with her magnificent writer-actor husband.
