Yeah I feel kind of conflicted that I really love them as a couple later and routed for their relationship and yet Niles is so creepy in these early seasons, what he does in this scene is Judge Claude Frollo level shit.
Roz: Frasier the bishop is lost at sea. Frasier: I know Roz, that was the punchline, didn’t you hear it? Martin: No you idiot, he’s literally lost at sea. (Frasier becomes shocked) Frasier: What? Why didn’t anyone say anything? Niles: No he did, you were busy puking by the time he said it.
No, he was in the men's room when the priest made the announcement, then he rushed in at the last moment and went right up to the podium. Both the sister at the head table and Roz tried to tell him, but he wasn't listening.
This would be terrible poor Frasier doesn't know what happened and most people there don't know that he was in the bathroom and therefore didn't hear Father Mike giving the bad news. But everyone at Frasier's table knows that Frasier doesn't know and while Roz tries to tell him Frasier thinks she is trying to tell the joke or correct him on it. He doesn't catch on. I wish there was a scene afterwards where Roz or someone else tells Frasier and we get to see his reaction.

i enjoyed the show Frazier but thought whenever they used the "misunderstanding" comedy, it seemed old and played out. three's company used it on a weekly basis and after that, any show that used it more than once every few episodes just made me groan instead of laugh as i was watching.
"Why does everything happen to Frasier?"
Niles knows what is about to happen lol.
Frasier, was and still is, the smartest show ever.
I Claudius, Six Feet Under, Random Acts of Flyness, The Simpsons, FLCL
@@literallyanythingelse six feet under is not a smart show. Just a bunch of overacting narcissists
Yes Prime Minister, is about on par with this if you think esoteric is the same thing as intellectual.
Not when I think of the “Hung Specialist” sign outside Niles’ office.
I think that just reinforces the definition of the term `smartest` being subjective
I love Nile's reaction when Frasier says "and speaking of water.."
Especially when he says “the bishop!”

it is timeless and classic, niles & fraiser looke like they could have been real brothers, funny funny show!
But I'm sure he'll drift in eventually. LOL
Most likely!
Ahahahaha
@@cunningsmile4166 Weird I happened to find this clip just now, not even remembering my comment and you just happened to comment!
the priest - oop oop sorry, the BISHOP xD
Oh man, this is hysterical! And to quote Niles, "Why does everything happen to Frasier?"
"I'm sure he'll drift in eventually"
This reminds me of Homer roasting Mr. Burns on stage right after Smithers announced terrible news to the audience.
Bill Hurley that poor dog..
Quiet, you awful man
This show was non stop hilarity 😂
I love this bit. BOMB-O! Kills me every time. =)

MISS THIS KIND OF TV
Shows called frasier? There are good tv shows from all decades
@@JazzFlop212what good shows are their from this decade or the 10s?
Niles' face at 2:40 gets me every time
HatsForEveryone same!
Glad that this has been up and bringing a smile to my face for ten years.
The second-hand embarrassment is so painful here! Poor Frasier! 😂💀
Without a doubt my favorite Frasier moment, just love it.
I love all the seasons but S2 is full of masterpieces
Tears rolling my eyes! Hysterical. Thanks Kelsey😊😂
Excellent: the timing, the failed cockiness, and the subtle jabs at the less=than-fascinating patter and jokes often offered at such events...
Roz in this scene.. 😍
The Vow of Silence one almost saved the speech -- I can imagine people trying to show him some good will after that, but then he went ahead and...
One of the best shows to watch while growing up.
Surprised not a single person lost it and started laughing at the joke after all.
hey lady, i work alone!
lol Niles smelling Daphne hair at 0:15
Kinda creepy
Yeah I feel kind of conflicted that I really love them as a couple later and routed for their relationship and yet Niles is so creepy in these early seasons, what he does in this scene is Judge Claude Frollo level shit.
David Hyde Pierce's reaction at 2:42 is genius.
One of my favourite Frasier episodes.
This is hilarious
Roz: Frasier the bishop is lost at sea.
Frasier: I know Roz, that was the punchline, didn’t you hear it?
Martin: No you idiot, he’s literally lost at sea.
(Frasier becomes shocked)
Frasier: What? Why didn’t anyone say anything?
Niles: No he did, you were busy puking by the time he said it.
“Ooooo bombo!!!!” 😂
Omg...too funny! Really miss that show.
Such a hilarious episode!
This was one of the cleverest shows to appear on US TV! There hasn’t been one since that compares.
I love in the end credits Fraiser is writing cheques, bigger and bigger to the sister superior untill she approves 😆
Frasier ....what a class act.wish I could find all the seasons.
They were on Netflix
As of December 2022 it’s available streams my if you subscribe to Paramount plus. All seasons and episodes are available.
I LMAO so hard everytime I watch this clip!! 😂😂
Hmmmm.....BOMBO!!!
Sneaky Niles 0:15! Love it
Didn't watch that show all that frequently, but damn that was funny.
Now that the holidays are over Hallmark is ending the Christmas shows and starting the Frasier re runs again midnight Sunday yippie
Biblical hand shadows lol
LOL Oh God...only Frasier. That was fantastic.
Poor Frasier, he had the worst luck with poorly timed jokes
Frasier is lacking an absolutely essential quality in every (even mildly) successful stand-up comic: the ability to read the fookin' room! 😂😂😂
The reactions. EPIC.
lol! Pancakes And Parables!
"Frasier, the bishop is lost at sea" is by far the best line Peri Gilpin said in the show.
Niles steals the show as usual
And speaking of water...
The best 😄
Even when Frazier bombs... he's still funny....
*Biblical Hand Shadows*
"I thought we hit a weisberg!!" LOL- genius!!
I don’t get it?
@sa4540 apparently it's a Jewish surname. And since Frasier didn't hear about the Bishop lost at sea, he just thinks it's a tough crowd
gold!
MMM Bombo
What Can Go Wrong, Well Go Wrong
DAMN.
The epic burn
What if there was like one guy cracking up in the back.
Niles is kind of a creep.

nice
LMAO :)
hilarious
Cost him a nice looking watch if I recall
Yes. I remember that. It was during the end credits.
lol

Oh god, why Frasier, why??????
..the bishop :)
Didn't somebody told Fraizer what happened to the Bishop ?? LOL
No, he was in the men's room when the priest made the announcement, then he rushed in at the last moment and went right up to the podium. Both the sister at the head table and Roz tried to tell him, but he wasn't listening.
It is funny.
Thats fuckin funny
I know John Maloney has passed away but can we get a reboot??????
He's gonna get jumped.

I had no idea they had a Catholic connection. Or was it Anglican?
This is quite funny. : )

@ninive87 season 2, episode 6
Is he a freemason a vow of silence is part of there oath and in plain sight

Iceberg wiseberg? 🙄
Ah, jeez. This was a pretty bad time for Frasier to tell those jokes.
Someone please explain the weissberg bit?
It's a stereotypical sounding Jewish name (and sounds like iceberg)
Could someone tell me which episode is this? I've watched the hole series and don't remember this moment.
Season 2, episode 6.
What's a Wiseburg?
what ep was this one
Season 2 Episode 6 : The Botched Language of The Cranes.
If you're still interested nearly a decade later.
Why are Roz and Tokens at this event?
To support frasier
What's a "weissburg" and why is it so shocking?
Talk about how to speak without knowing the whole story
The scene is very funny but someone would have told Frasier.
