- just some little stunts I found with beetle and griffon, tho it was still harder finding something pretty for beetle... but I wanted to do this video for such a long while now as I want to show that both mounts are just amazing and so much fun!

This popped up in my CZcams recs and I'm honestly stunned how well you control these mounts. Every time I use the roller I end up stuck in a corner
Yes, Roller beetle is a little Tricky at first, but once you got the hang of it it's and amazing mount, even more with the racing community :D can only recommend to keep trying!

Not gonna lie, this should be part of every video that talks about why you should play the game and in every single trailer for the game.
Being able to control not only one mount but TWO with that amount of skill and precision really speaks for itself. That's some serious talent right there.
I don't think any MMO will top GW2 mounts.
I know, and what's crazy to me is that mounts were not even a thing a couple of years ago.
WoW is trying to but doubt they can manage it with this fluidity.

I just realized something. You know the saying "can't see the forest for the trees." .. Well, sometimes GW2 is like that. I wander around looking at all the details while I explore at my leisurely pace. But this video demonstrates how beautiful the forest can be. I always sort of thought mounts took away from the exploration. But they don't. They give it another perspective. Fantastic vid. I'd never be able to see it for myself, I'm forever a noob when I ride. No amount of practice will change that :)
Incredible video! I am amazed at how you can be so good at both the griffon and the beetle, both very difficult mounts to master.
Thanks ^^ 💚 and well both handle differently, griffon is all about precision while beetle is mostly about technic, I started out with griffon 2 years ago so I already went with that knowledge into RACE (it also helps that I put my keybinds in favor of mount movement instead of fighting xD means I'm clicking my abilities)

the Griffon is like skiing, you get to the highest altitude possible, then it's all fun from there until you lag your inputs and get raptored or something.

@@Master10k2 garfried, the same person as in the video did built the track ^^ there's alot more tracks and builders ingame as well, the speedometer overlay Was done by Killer, also a member of RACE

First of all, your skill and control with both mounts is in another lvl. I'm quite good with the beetle myself since I played it a lot since the beetle races event, but you are a god. And with the griffon, the skillgap between us is just depressing for me xD.
Second, GW2 has by far the best mounts system ever. every mount has his role, you use all of them every day that you play the game, and how they implemented them in a game which didnt have mounts at first is crazy.
Ah thanks alot^^ and well, I actually started gw2 mainly because of the griffon, as I have never found any mount mechanics close to it , so from the second I got the griffon I set all my keybinds in favour of the mounts, which means you can safely assume I sucked at the rest of the game for the longest time, literally clicking each of my fighting abilities hehe
@@Reirakiyo Yeah they really should add keybinds templates so you can change it at one click like builds and equip.
You don't need to use most of the mounts if you have the Skyscale, it replaces both Raptor and Springer, and can be used instead of the others too just not as good.
@@milham975 You get the skyscale a lot later. So before that, you use all the mounts everyday. And even after you get the skyscale, don’t you get the urge once in a while to use your raptor and sprinter just for the flavor?
@@smellybearc7411 The raptor still has a place imo but the springer got done dirty by the skyscale, skyscale even flies higher than springer jumps. Add on that the skyscale is much easier to aim your landings, can latch onto things and refill its flight juice, and of course can actually move laterally while in the air, and the springer starts to feel seriously outclassed. It does ascend faster but that doesn't really make up for the limitations, so the only real use it has is the cannonball engage skill to damage defiance bars.
I think they should find a niche that involves movement for our furry little friends, so we can feel good about bringing them out once more. Maybe they need a double jump mastery? I don't know!
This is exactly how it looks in my head 1 second before I fash my beetle head first into the next wall!
Believe me, I did too xD alot in fact, when I first got my beetle I didn't even knew how to Drift but its so worth to keep trying :D

I enjoyed flying that mount than playing ace combat if only there was a way for the game to utilize the Griffin more
Clearly, if you can control those two beasts of mounts then the world is your playground. I can't steer my beetle to save my life xD And I'm pretty decent at crashing my griffon. >.>
Haha yes, I know there's alot of people seeing griffon flying or beetle racing as stupid, but tbh ;p I have no problem getting from place to place without using waypoint, especially helpful for farming and also metas in the new maps! With beetle I did struggle alot at first too, one thing that helped me there is starting to Drift with strafe (A/D in my case ) it helps you control drifting alot more
@@Reirakiyo I think the racing adventures are amazing and they teach you how to use your mounts to a certain degree, the rest you just have to learn the hard way xD
@@Ozraevun yes mostly, but I have to say especially with beetle costum race tracks are partly better to learn, especially drifting and later on the advanced technics, for griffons, yes the adventure are a good start :D

Ahh thanks alot :D, the beetle part was actually the hardest to find spots xD but griffon as well, at least to find things you haven't seen as often
Fuck I love the griffon. by far the most fun I've had with any flight mount in any game. it takes travel and makes it an interactive trip. I just wish they'd give the game a graphics overhaul.
I agree. Graphics need an upgrade. I don't think I could put the game down if they ever do that. The gameplay is already perfect for me
They are! They are currently upgrading the engine from Directx9 to Directx11

I can't even begin to imagine how to do this, wow
It takes a little to get used to the controls, especially beetle drifting and its advanced technics ^^ but once you got the hang of it it's super fun as well as effective for travelling
@@Reirakiyo Griffon gives me more trouble, do you tap the dive key to maintain the speed gliding buff or do you tap dive/ascend ? When I hit ascend for too long I loose the speed gliding.
@@rhodan74 yes, if you make a too long pull up or several small once you'll lose speed naturally, to regain speed either do a mini dive or make a complete dive + wingflap again, depending on how much speed you lost, generally when it comes to stunts I usually try to have more height and rather make a dive then being to low and have to make a pull up and potentially lose speed

Believe me or not I got majority of mine on lowest as well, at least the entire second half like shadows, shaders, the whole model thing but lately even with this my game has been lagy, I still hope they fix some things with dx11 cause that helped alot
@@Reirakiyo I have a very old laptop and so my game looks and runs really badly and so I always enjoy seeing it be pretty and fast in people's videos, especially in griffon ones
How are you not losing superspeed after the superspeed dive? Is it the mini dips you do?
Griffon top speed is at 110, over time it'll slowly lose that speed, but it's a really slow lose, so unless you fly straight for a few minutes it shouldn't be noticeable but yes :) mini dives can bring you back to 110 so no need for a full dive
I can't fly like that on my griffen. 9/10 I crash headfirst into the ground when I try to do c into v.
I love my roller beedle as long as there are no cliffs around for me to roll off of.
I personally put dive and climb on my two side buttons on my mouse, so I just use the movement keys on keyboard + abilities like mount stealth bound of vigor/faith

Not really xD I just used my game time flying and racing with mounts instead of the other content it had to offer, nowadays I still love it but I also do play the other stuff the game has to offer haha
The mounts are great but too much hassle too time consuming
If you look into stunt flying and beetle racing than yes I can agree, I started the game mainly because of the mounts back then but nowadays I usually do more pve but the mounts are still unbelievable great for traveling /map completion and all of that :)

I'm not sure, on one side, yes I'd like to show people how awesome both mounts are but on the other I'm not too familiar with reddit ^^ I might give it a try tho, thanks for the suggestion!

Imma guess you also use a controller. This level of mount precision with a keyboard and mouse just doesn't work, plus the camera movement is very indicative of how the controller mapping tends to move things.
Actually not, but I had to sacrifice my keybinds for this and therefore click some of my abilities haha, for me I got movement normally on WAD, space is wingflap for me on griffon and jump on beetle (it's important to not have boost on space), everything else I got on my mouse 😄 I have 2 side buttons, one for dive/boost and the other for climb/Drift, so I can control the movement alone with both, keyboard and mouse and the mount abilities with two small mouse buttons
@@Reirakiyo what's your DPI on, like 1000? That camera movement has the weird smoothed out effect using a mapper. I basically have to use a controller for almost everything, because GW2 is a carpel tunnel nightmare otherwise.
